    I think Goku and Vegetas’ new forms are exactly who they have always been. Goku more of a tournament fighter all the way back to dragon ball. Always one to hold back a form or level to see what the other fighter has.
    Vegeta being one not to mess with. He doesn’t fight like Goku. He fights to win, kill or destroy quickly. Never a long drawn out battle. Never one to hold back a punch. His new form forces his opponents to fight like him. If his opponent doesn’t kill him quickly then Vegeta will do what he does best, destroy.
    I say for now Goku wins. But man once Vegeta new form is mastered, it’s game over for Goku and everyone else.

      How so? You could say that by the time Vegeta mastered UE, Goku could still be on top and mastering UI. It all depends on circumstances, neither of the two has an edge on each other because they both know each others style, moves in fighting. It will all come down to who can out smart the other in my opinion.

      Ue vegeta is literally a regression in his character. This form would be great for like saiyan-namek saga vegeta. But vegeta isn’t the same person as before and they’re pulling the Majin vegeta card again “I need to act like my old self and surpass kakarot” that’s Majin vegeta bro. And then vegeta kicks goku away like what?? That literally contradicts his character development since goku and vegeta teamed up with eachother multiple times in Dbs. In the ToP vegeta even suggested to team up against jiren. And in the anime they teamed up against zamasu. Now they’re regressing him again. And then vegeta gives up against gronola like what? That’s so out of character for him, vegeta inspired me to never give up no matter what and now they took that away from him? Trash writing. I don’t even blame it on dbs or toyotaro. I just think the gronola arc is garbage as a whole. Vegeta had a good arc in the Moro arc but they completely made a mockery out of him in the gronola arc and regressed him

    I see this as an unstoppable force vs. immovable object scenario. Due to the immeasurable strength and experince of both fighters, at their peak the battle will crawl to a standstill. One literally can't exist without the other, Yin to the Yang. A vegeta victory required restrictions: no ki blasts, or power-ups of any kind. It's just basically a "Fox Only, No Items, Final Destination" scenario. That sparring match became a true contest of SKILL, a true clash between ideologies. Goku doesn't need to meditate, as in his eyes, he's already doing it by resting well. Vegeta meditates, though he's more literal.

  • @The_Buff_Guy
    @The_Buff_Guy Před 8 měsíci +9

    If we break this down analytically:
    Goku has had several arcs and well over a full year with ultra instinct to practice and perfect it. UI Sign he could already access and maintain with ease after Merus’ training. Perfected/Mastered UI comes at the end of the Moro arc, where Goku has full control over the form. Granolah then battles this form with his avatar self and gets bodied. But once Granolah uses his true self, he catches Goku off guard and knocks him out in 1 hit. The question is, how was Goku in MUI caught off guard? It makes no sense. The form is designed so that, in its perfected state, your body should be moving on its own no matter what happens during combat. Being caught off guard should no longer be a concept to Goku, which suggests 1 of 2 things. 1, goku hasn’t fully mastered UI by that point. And yeah, sure, he has a lot to learn. But he should’ve at least been able to dodge that hit from granolah. Or 2, Granolah at his Maximum was THAT much stronger than PUI/MUI Goku, that he could in fact 1 shot MUI Goku at any point.
    Now look at Vegeta. He attains Ultra Ego, and within seconds of attaining that form, he’s already bodying full power Granolah. It wasn’t until Vegeta took too much damage that he wasn’t able to continue the fight. He had Granolah on the ropes so hard that Granolah had to fully utilize his Cerealian powers using both his eyes, a technique unique to his race, to get the perfect energy snipe on Vegeta, which effectively ends the fight. Vegeta takes too much damage, and he’s out.
    Right off the bat, that all tells me that UE is at LEAST as strong if not stronger than MUI/PUI. It wasn’t until Goku got True Ultra Instinct vs Gas that Goku seemed to pass Vegeta in power by a little bit.
    Taking everything into account that I just explained, UE is the more powerful form. Goku has had way more time with UI to learn it and master it. Vegeta had UE for 5 minutes, and it already seemed more impressive than Perfected UI. Give Vegeta as much time with UE as Goku has had with UI, then let them fight. I don’t see Goku winning a fight against someone who has mastered the ability to take damage and convert it into power. That ability could potentially be limitless. Plus Vegeta has hakai, a type of energy that literally erases anything it touches from existence. Goku has no chance on an even playing field against Vegeta. Ultra Ego is just Ultra Instinct on fucking steroids.

      Goku’s limitations are his body, if someone is faster than him UI can see it coming but not be able to dodge. I don’t think goku let his guard down, never was stated so. Vegeta would win because he's stronger in base and in the end that is what it will come down to. The core. Whis himself confirmed Vegeta's realization about how to go beyond. It's why Vegeta just edged out Goku. Also, despite Vegeta getting Ultra Ego later than Goku's Ultra Instinct, his prodigal ability allows him to catch up very quickly. He mastered all of Goku's Z abilities in a shorter time on Yardrat. Ultimately, what I've observed about their rivalry is the following. Naturally, Vegeta is stronger and better than Goku. Goku however uses his determination and knowledge from so many masters that he goes beyond the decifit he is at with Vegeta. i.e. transformations and new techniques. Vegeta has to catch up, only for Goku to then ascend again. However, generally speaking; peep the trend.
    Vegeta is stronger in base. Goku turns SS to surpass Vegeta. Vegeta turns SS, stronger than Goku's SS (arguably due to a heart attack but just going on what was stated in the anime and manga) Goku Master, and other grades of SS to surpass Vegeta. Vegeta's "Living" SS2 form is stronger than Gohan's version as proven when he notices Goku's "dead" SS2 form is stronger than Gohan but "Equal" to Vegeta. However, Goku has SS3 in his pocket to SURPASS Vegeta again. But peep game... Vegeta's Living SS2 was equal to Goku's Dead SS2. That's not supposed to be the case. Goku is supposed to be stronger because he was dead and didn't have a body as a disadvantage as Vegeta. In any event, Vegeta's SS2 in "Super" is stronger than Goku's SS3 which is definitely more refined than in Z. Goku ascends AGAIN, to SSG through a ritual which Goku states he did not like the fact that he did not "earn" it through training. Vegeta, Climbs the mountain and trains with Whis, and master's SSG and gains SSB with Goku. Now they're even. Vegeta at a massive deficit caught up. However, there is one notable point during their training. Goku who had SSG in him and I suspect Vegeta as well... carried a lighter weight than Vegeta when training to get to Blue. This was stated by Whis himself. Thus the point I'm making is that at the time of the SSB training they were even... but Vegeta carried a heavier weight and stood overnight to train while Goku's body gave out and he rested. Just pointing out what was in the Anime.
    Goku then adds a technique to give him the edge over Vegeta in KK to put him above Vegeta but then Vegeta EVOLVES Blue to put him even or arguably above SSB KK minus none of the drawbacks of KK. Now UI and UE and although Goku is up in terms of time with UI, how much longer do you think it will take Vegeta to close that gap? So what this comes down to is who is stronger in base form? Thus in Super Whis put it to the test, and despite Goku's ability to constantly surpass Vegeta who started out stronger than him, they both reached their limits but there can only be one winner and that winner was edged out by Vegeta.
    In conclusion, in their ultimate forms, I think the result would be the same. Vegeta would win because his base core "SHOULD" edge Goku out based on this "TREND". Whey they are at the same Power Level, Vegeta is just a bit stronger. Saiyajin Saga proved it. Buu Saga Proved it, Whis Training for SSB proved it and now Super Hero the movie proved it. Thus objectively speaking by the track record, unless Goku can "ASCEND" in mid-match against Vegeta, if he squares up evenly, Vegeta wins. Vegeta was always stronger from the jump. Goku just found ways to catch up and go beyond. Hope this was worth the read for you.

    Vegeta got SF, UE (super armor basically), maintains his Ultra form with no time limit or drawback, destruction energy, plus his UE is basically a zenkai glitch. Not to mention he knows Instant Trans. now as well. Goku’s arsenal consists of a time strained Ultra Instinct, Instant Trans, Spirit Bomb (cant use), Kaioken (wouldnt use unless drastic), and Kamehameha.
    Meanwhile manga Vegeta whipped out everything I said + ki swords and shit, with his durability, stamina, power boost OT, and techniques, he’d outlast Goku until he becomes stronger than him and eventually wins. (ON PAPER, logically) However, it is Goku’s show, I’d totally see them adding a drawback or something to Vegeta to give Goku the edge to win. I feel like UI could actually be countered by someone who understands how the technique works. UI responds automatically to what the body senses without regard for the users thought process. If another fighter were able to convincingly feint they could force UI to dodge an attack that was never actually coming and potentially set up situations where they are able to force UI to block or counter instead of dodge. And if the second fighter can create a large enough gap in physical power then even blocking or countering could result in damage to the UI user.

    This is an interesting debate; however, I believe Goku will win over Vegeta. My reason for this is the ability to problem-solve during battle. An example of this is when Vegeta fought Hit during the Beerus-Champa tournament. Goku tried to gather intel from Jaco and Vegeta about Hit to try to overcome his Time-skip to no avail. Vegeta during the battle couldn't figure out how to overcome Hit's ability and could not once harm Hit. Goku had the same issue for a while and was doing trial and error until he found something that worked. Now if we take this fight and apply to Goku vs. Vegeta in this instance, there would be overlapping similarities. Vegeta would struggle to overcome his UI and finds himself taking all the damaged again and not being able to land a hit on Goku. It is like history repeating itself, unless it becomes a battle of attrition. If that is the case, then maybe Vegeta's form may out last Goku's UI and therefore has advantage over him. He would have to tank a considerable amount of time for Goku's UI to run out, and that is a difficult feat to accomplish. This is my reasoning on why I believe Goku will win over Vegeta.

Early fight UI takes this beacause of dodging, mid fight they are equal because UE is chardged by blows it got in the early fight and UI is now using automatic blocks, in the late fight people think that UE would be too much for the UI, but in the late fight UI can go into ki avatar to defend against hakai and true UI to have furious attacks and UE can take limited damadge, so can UI, but in the early fight UI did not recive damadge while UE did, so ... Now he can manipulate energy in a more advanced way and even started implementing Jirens meditation techniques into his own to further make less energy wasting movements which will keep him at his peak longer. Vegeta even shows that his Battle IQ can make his movements comparable to UI when he fought Jiren and everyone thought he learned UI. What proves this even more is the fact during the time of Super Hero, Goku has already started learning to use UI without transforming.

    1. Vegeta is a master of taking a beating. Between the slow methodical beating by Frieza, the nonstop assult of Kid Buu, and the battle with Toopo, this man will not stay down.
    2. As shown in the after credit scene in DBS Super Hero, without transformations, Vegeta beat Goku. It was barely, but it did happen, and that shows a slight bit more endurance. Also, being that power levels are multiplied from base form and Ultra Ego is designed to increase power with damage received, it stands to reason that Vegeta would end up stronger than Goku by the end of the fight.

    I think alot of people dont understand that True Ultra Instinct is actually weaker than his silver-haired UI, and was only stronger because of a rage-amped boost.
    Goku when initially using TUI for the first time against gas, gives the implication himself that he's only stronger than gas TEMPORARILY. He expressed a need to finish the fight quickly after saying he was just barely stronger than Gas, and literally before this he admits that "my hearts not calm" and that TUI doesn't require him to have a calm and tranquil state of mind after explaining why he chose TUI over PUI, so he could have his intense-emotions work for him as a rage-boost.
    The reason why TUI did so good against gas, is because Goku was enraged during his use of TUI due to having flashbacks to his father for the first-time in his life, and we all know dragon ball characters become significantly more powerful when they rage.
    And that also leads us to why he wanted to finish the fight quick, which was because his intense emotions wouldn't last forever.
    It's not because TUI had a time limit because 1st off, how would he know if this is his first time using this new form. 2nd off he never expressed a time limit in the granolah saga with pui which is known to have one, and 3rd off TUI is implied to be an enhanced ultra instinct sign.
    So judging that UE Vegeta and PUI Goku were fighting side-by-side, with Vegeta even doing more damage to Gas and Granolah, combined with his better ki-control, Im led to believe this is the first DBS arc where Vegeta would beat Goku in a fight.

    Vegeta wouldn't necessarily destroy Goku but he can nullify all of Goku projectiles. Conversely Goku will nullify Vegeta's physical attacks. UI slowly powers down and UE slowly grows stronger. The tipper is that Vegeta gets stronger off getting punched. It's basically a stalemate until someone gets tired first.

    It is Heroes, but I do believe Goku vs Xeno Goku kinda shows what could happen in a UI and UE fight. We don’t know much about Limit Breaker SSJ4, but what we can tell is it amps up all of the SSJ4 abilities. And what SSJ4 has are things like a large amount of stamina and the ability to adapt. Its adaptability is a far cry from UE especially since it doesn’t get a power boost from the damage, but it is still pretty good for what other forms have. And the endurance and stamina it has does make it hard to out right use the transformation of UI. Hence why Goku used most likely True UI against Xeno Goku’s Limit Breaker, then busting out UI form to end it, yet also fall down extremely exhausted as well. And it was a Goku vs Goku that have seen each other fight multiple times. So they definitely understand each other way better than anyone could. In conclusion a UI and UE fight would end the same. With Goku having the upper hand due to UI form and falling down exhausted with Vegeta. But the difference would be, UE would probably push Goku to use his UI form longer and even push to his Avatar form, just because how much more power UE will gain due to being hit by Goku.

    The problem with this matchup is no matter which version of ultra instinct goku uses he is on a timer while vegeta with ultra ego has no timer and gets stronger over time. So, if goku can dish out enough damage to put down vegeta quickly he wins but if not vegeta will end up coming out victorious. If vegeta can potentially shroud himself in hakai ki every blow goku lands would not just make vegeta stronger but also damage goku in the process. Maybe in the future he will be able to do that.

    • @danielhaughton37
      @danielhaughton37 Před 8 měsíci +4

      Vegeta does get stronger but as we saw in the granola and gas fight, too much damage will knock him out even when he gets stronger, so goku being evasive with mui and putting damage on vegeta in vital places, he would probably outlast vegeta in my opinion

    • @IllusorySpectre
      @IllusorySpectre Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@danielhaughton37 ya, it depends on how much damage vegeta takes and how far the gap between base ultra ego and ultra instinct is. If you believe there is a massive gap between base ultra ego and ultra instinct than ya goku would win since he will be able to dish out enough damage to put vegeta down. However, if you believe the gap between base ultra ego and ultra instinct is relative or fairly close then the battle shifts dramatically in vegetas favor. Goku in true ultra instinct was actually able to over power gas while vegeta got dominated by the same gas however, a little later they are both fighting together with vegeta in ultra ego and goku in true ultra instinct. So, in the end it comes down to how big the gap is between base ultra ego and ultra instinct or true ultra instinct.
      What would really help ultra ego is if it actually holds onto the power it gains from taking damage. So, if vegeta takes a bunch damage while in ultra ego and loses his transformation but then gets healed when he transforms back into ultra ego all the power gained from his previous battle with ultra ego remains. Which would basically mean every time he uses ultra ego the strength he gets from it increases proportionally with the amount of damage he had taken with its previous use. That would make it so much more useful.

      Ui has better adaptability, ui has a battle growth ability similar to Broly or even better, showcased in his fight against jiren and even stated in the official DBS guide, he naturally grows as he fights but that’s only in the white haired form and he needs to have proper control for it to work and by that I mean have the Moro arc level of control.
      Ui is also stronger and having better battle growth than ue just makes it a stomp.
      The form “tui” is just ui sign, the silver haired ui or just ui as it’s called is the strongest form as stated in the official dbs guide book
      Goku needs to be able to have the right mindset to use ui, similar to how it was in the Moro arc, without that mindset, it’s so nerfed that even ui sign is stronger
      The author also said he had to nerf him temporarily as the level of control goku had with ui was something that was more of an end of series type.

    In regards to the sparring thing, Goku has never come across as the type to care whether he wins a spar. He’s going to try, but he’s not going to go to the wire. Vegeta will go to the wire in a spar.
    I’ve always seen Goku as the guy who will flop, but when it really comes down to it, he gets the job done and comes out on top.
    In a nutshell - Goku got plot 🤷‍♂️

    IMO UI is just on different level but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's an easy win for goku, tbh UE might be more useful against specific individuals but against UI goku?? I don't think so even tho they both haven't mastered the forms 100%, regardless of the comparison i just love the fact that each form reflects their respective nature 👌

    What people don't get js that vegeta is not an android, he doesn't need to get hit to increase his strength, all it takes is to fuel his spirt 1 way or another. So in theory vegeta could bd stronger from the jump under the reasoning that he's fighting goku

    I feel like this question was kind of resolved during the tournament win Vegeta beat Toppo who was using God of destructive powers and was able to overcome that simply with super Saiyan blue so it kind of proves that if you are powerful enough and have enough will that even somebody who is super Saiyan blue can overcome God of destructive powers I don’t think that’s the case with ultra instinct. Someone in super Saiyan blue cannot overcome ultra instinct, but again it was done by Vegeta when he fought Toppo who had God of destruction powers. Now Toppo was kind of in training as a God of destruction at the time, but Vegeta is also new to having destructive powers so at this point, I don’t think he’s nearly as strong as Goku is until he gets a lot more training in using it with berrus who doesn’t use UI but due to his experience is still more powerful than even Goku in UI.

  • @laughingoutloud502

    Remember Gods of destruction can also gain ui. So being in that destructive form your body can already grow stronger and absorb hits so if he already clears his mind maybe he can adapt some ui into his hakai form and quickly advance it when his body can’t handle anymore hits. For instance he absorbs so much hits that he has to empty his mind which we know he can from the training at yaaddrat and start dodging without thinking and regaining some stamina in that process.

    I feel like Vegeta would have to outsmart Goku to quickly defeat him.
    I say that because my understanding of MUI is being a thing where the body does what it needs to do in order to evade , defend or attack without thought. So the way Goku normally fights goes out the window as far as MUI so Vegeta shouldn't expect to be fighting the same Goku he's fought before. Vegeta would only be able to anticipate Goku's next move if he considers all the possible responses to his own attacks.
    When Goku stood in front of Jiren while in UI and without his normal fighting stance, no one could understand what he was doing or what to expect
