I like how you don't sugarcoat parenthood. Some vloggers I watch make it look too easy, and then I start feeling like I'm doing something wrong (mother of 2 babies under 2yo). When you are actually devoted to being a good parent and taking the best care of your baby, it's hard work! So rewarding, though! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I also love how BOTH parents take on the work! Sometimes too much is left for the mother alone to do, and that's not right.... I mean she just carried the baby for 9 months and gave birth! She could use some help! ❤️❤️❤️
Matt your shout out to single parents made me tear up! Even though I had a spouse I was the only one caring for both of my boys when they came home from the hospital and both times I had had a c-section! Seeing young men taking such care of their wife and baby touches my heart! Abby I’m so glad you have a good man to help you during these trying times as a new mama!

First of all mad respect Matt, no matter what shift I was working I got up and did changes and feedings for both of my kiddos and let their mom sleep. You're doing it right man no matter how hard it is you'll look back on it and be beyond glad you did it.

Our son who is 21 months now was the same way. Turned out it was acid reflux, so we elevated his bassinet by putting a book under it. Helped a lot! Sometimes he was super gassy as well, depending on what I ate due to breast feeding. Y’all are doing great! Keep it up! It goes by fast!
Babies thrive on consistency and routine. You might try doing that. Overstimulation from being in restaurants, noisy places, etc, can lead to lack of sleep. He's a beautiful baby!
So true, although some people try to have babies adjust to whatever lifestyle they live. Some babies are just bit more sensitive. Matt & Abby, those spots on his face is breakout due to what he gets in milk, maybe just double check what you eat as it does affect baby through milk, make him more windy, which cause crankiness etc. Beautiful baby boy.

It’s okay as a parent to put your baby down in a safe spot. Leave for 5-10 mins to take a breath and collect yourself. When your baby is having a constant cry moments. Then tend to the baby again. It some times can get overwhelming.
I agree. The pediatrician I was seeing actually told me to let them cry some. I have boys all in their 30s so I'm sure things have changed three or four times since they were born. I did let mine cry themselves to sleep at times. ❤

My husband and I just had our first baby 7 months ago!! I remember the new born stage where they are up so much! It was definitely hard sacrificing sleep but it’s all worth it because you love your kid so much! You just have to remember that this isn’t long term and that time is gonna fly by so soak up these moments even when it’s hard cause like y’all said it’s the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do! Y’all are awesome & doing amazing!

I just wanna say y’all are doing great!! And a bit of advice is fresh air does miracles with a baby! When my son was a new born and he had his bad crying fits the only way to calm him down was outside no matter the time or temperature he needed to be outside! ❤️❤️
I totally love your little family. Griffin is sooooo cute. I totally freak out when I see the way Matt holds the baby though. If he wriggles even a tiny bit he would get dropped. Babies like to be held against the body because they feel safe and also they like to be feeling the parents heartbeat. I love how in love you all are with each other. Xxjojoxx

I learned that babies go through leaps! They’re these phases that are based on their due dates not their birthdays. They have fussy phases and then they have calm phases! It’s called “the wonder weeks”. We’re going through one of the brutal leaps with our daughter. We struggled so much with her going to sleep last night. Y’all are doing great! You’re amazing parents and griffin is so lucky to have such amazing people to raise him! You’re gonna raise him to be such a good man and y’all are such good role models! I live that Matt mentioned the nurses taught him how to hold Griffin because everybody always talks about how he holds him but every nurse I know holds babies like that lol Also, Bella’s “can we take him home” really broke my heart 🥺
When my brother was four weeks old, we took him with us to Canyon Lake, Texas for one of my dad’s sailboat races. I still remember my mom saying to my aunt “camping with a four week old, I may be nuts!” And my aunt goes, “ain’t no “may be” about it!”

I just wanna say y’all are doing great!! And a bit of advice is fresh air does miracles with a baby! When my son was a new born and he had his bad crying fits the only way to calm him down was outside no matter the time or temperature he needed to be outside! ❤️❤️
This always helps us as well!
I did this with my son. He had colic for 3 months straight and he would stop immediately when I took him out and he would just stare up at the stars.

I totally love your little family. Griffin is sooooo cute. I totally freak out when I see the way Matt holds the baby though. If he wriggles even a tiny bit he would get dropped. Babies like to be held against the body because they feel safe and also they like to be feeling the parents heartbeat. I love how in love you all are with each other. Xxjojoxx
Great to see you back, Griffin is so cute, Yes I have to agree, babies like to feel secure next to parents body , which is also good for bonding, baby would feel comfortable feeding sat down nestled in your arms, that way he probably would settle back down tosleep after he has had his feed. 💙
I love Matt’s perspective but I feel like we haven’t been seeing as much of Abby lately. I know parenting is super tiring but if you are up to it I’d love to see more of a video with your lead!! Also I would love a video on how you have been doing mentally and such adapting after pregnancy!!

I learned that babies go through leaps! They’re these phases that are based on their due dates not their birthdays. They have fussy phases and then they have calm phases! It’s called “the wonder weeks”. We’re going through one of the brutal leaps with our daughter. We struggled so much with her going to sleep last night.

I live that Matt mentioned the nurses taught him how to hold Griffin because everybody always talks about how he holds him but every nurse I know holds babies like that lol

When my brother was four weeks old, we took him with us to Canyon Lake, Texas for one of my dad’s sailboat races. I still remember my mom saying to my aunt “camping with a four week old, I may be nuts!” And my aunt goes, “ain’t no “may be” about it!”
