Hi Sunny - then these would be nice for you. Goes from sheer like a blam and can be built upđ€. Can't go wrong with these. I just looked on line and noticed that the shade namings in the Americas are totally different but a lot more shades than here in Europe. A bit annoying that L'oreal and Lancome keeps doing this stupidness. Have a lovely eveningđ»

I love the fact that the LâOreal shades and quality are comparable. Wondering whether the weight and staying power are similar as well as the purity of ingredients.
The shades/texture are all lovely on you, my friend. I just ordered Lisa Eldridgeâs new shade Rainbow Spill for summer fun. I think itâs beautifully packaged and thatâs part of the pleasure of luxury brands, when you can afford it. With quality drug store brands we can indulge without breaking the bank. Thank you for the comparisons.
Hi Mamie Louise - so nice to hear from youđ. I thought you were maybe on vacation. Yes I did indulge in the Lisa Eldridge's launch as you may have seen with my review. I did get all the Insanely Saturated colors and Rainbow Spill is one of my faves after Skyscraper Rose and New Wave! I just have to be careful how I dress with Rainbow Spill so not to look too much like Nikki Minajđ€ I am wearing that one in the Alien Goddess video.
In terms of the drugstore, for my skincare fix I do look to Nivea and for lipstick L'Oreal. These two brands spend a lot of $$ on research and most of the new innovations in the cosmetic industry are coming from Nivea (Beiersdorf Group) or the L'Oreal group. Most of the Luxury brands are hanging under these two groups or their formulas are tradmarked from them. Estee Lauder is normally a bit later but also has some good research.
Yes, I did neglet to spend time on the formulas which is a shame as this would have added a bit more to the comparison of the lipsticks. Thanks for reminding me of probable what is the most important. From the lipsticks, when it comes to good for you & valuable ingredients the L'Oreal Lipstick is the best. The main ingredient for shine is Canola oil. This lipstick also contains Pomegranat extract (gold in skincare), Squalene and Sunflower Seed Wax as the stabilizing base. The Lisa Eldridge is made with synthetic Wax and the first ingredients is a fatty alcohol (Octyldodecanol). Fatty alcohols are waxes and not bad. The base is petroleum wax. The Dior looks to be the most poorly formulated with the first ingredients being Methyl Hydrogenated Resonate (Cosmetic grade Resin). It does contain some Sunflower oil and Bees Wax but the stabiliser is Resin Gum which does make it resistant to oxidation.
Out of all the lipsticks, my least favourite is the Dior as it runs into the fine lines on my lips. It has the most beautiful pigmentation but one must be careful. I do not think I will be getting anymore of the Lisa Eldridge Luxuriously Lucent as these lipsticks add very little to my overall appearance. My favourite formula are the Velvet Lipsticks and I cannot live without those. The L'Oreal lipticks have more pigmentation.
