- Ohio represents us all. In its dramatic history and astonishing diversity, Ohio closely replicates the vast, complicated, and turbulent place called America. The film offers a snapshot of the state's colorful history along with insights into the Ohio of today: a mix of odd, funny moments and life-changing events.
Good documentary, but it felt rushed. I think they could have touched on more topics, and went more in depth explaining things. Nonetheless, it got the point across of how Ohio arguably represents American culture more than any other state in the US.
Ohio will always be my peaceful home.

I'm from Ohio; my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children. Good state to live in. I like Kansas better: less snow.

I HATE the way marching bands play "Hang On Sloopy" at twice the speed it was recorded (or faster.) It makes you completely miss the message of the song's lyrics.
But it's so fun to play it at that speed. Gets the blood pumping, especially in larger groups. Playing songs slowly are more boring. Especially if you have the tuba part ):

Why did they show so much of the circleville pumpkin show at the beginning. But then didnt even talk about it?
Why was the only mention of Canton just the very brief shot of the Pro Football Hall of Fame? Canton is a major Ohio city with a great history.

I enjoyed it, but felt that the capital, Columbus, was practically ignored.
They could easily add another 200 minutes of history and cover all the cities and the smaller towns.
