I felt attacked when you said you don't like keys on the cover😂. If there is one thing that makes me buy a book or see a show, it is a key on the cover/poster, and I can't escape from this obsession
As a girl from West Virginia, I am soooooo excited about The Bog Wife! Yay! I am also stoked that Brom is coming out with a new book. I can hardly wait! I also agree with everyone stating to do a blog about judging book covers!

@@shereekathleenn i don’t know of any other ones that have already been published but it wouldn’t surprise me. I know the recent wave of published fanfic has been more for Reylo, a couple of which have been featured on Kayla’s channel previously. Anyway, it makes sense for the natural fanfic predecessor to be Dramione.
I will say i’m currently reading this specific fanfiction & the writing is actually quite excellent. Very interested to see (next summer 🥲) how it translates into a non-Wizarding World related story.
I love these videos, I always have to watch them at least twice: once for vibes, once to actually add things to Goodreads.
I am loving the current cool fonts trend! There's something simultaneously retro and medieval about the covers of Devils Kill Devils, Private Rites, and The Bog Wife, and I LOVE IT
I loveee these videos, it's so fun to learn about upcoming stuff, it reminds me of when id go to the library as a kid and just browse aimlessly and just have the absolute time of my 13 y/o life.
I feel like covers have been getting so much more intriguing lately! I hope theres not some sort of not-so-cool pressure driving the trend but im glad to see such eye catching covers come out of it 💖

looove the covers for so thirsty, a sunny place for shady people, and entitlement. i like both covers of little rot equally, but the uk edition fits the synopsis better imo

I just read an incredible book, and I think it's right up your alley (if it's not on your radar already). The Employees by Olga Ravn is a very short, translated, weird scifi book told in a series of interview statements from the human and humanoid crew members on a spaceship. I don't want to say too much, because it is super short, but it's my favorite book I've read so far this year.
As a West Virginian girlie, The Bog Wife immediately was added to my TBR 😂

Lot of books that I added to my Book Release list. Really excited for Brom, I have enjoyed Krampus and Slewfoot by him and am looking into reading more of his backlist.

This one is probably on your radar already, but Sheine Lende (prequel to Elatsoe) by Darcie Little Badger releases next week and I loved it just as much as the first one. Highly recommended!

Monstrillio is the UK cover! Dead Ink is a small press and indie bookstore and they're bringing it to the UK because we can't currently get it 😊
I’m so excited that we can finally get it in the UK! Wish I knew this a few months ago before I spent £34 on it from the US 😂😂
@rach799 dead ink is one of my closest physical indie shops and if you like weird books I'd recommend books published by Dead Ink Press tbh. I haven't read Monstrillio yet but I'm really excited.

The Haruki Murakami book is a sequel to Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World (one of my favorite books of all time). So, if you plan to read The City and its Uncertain Walls you should probably read Hard-Boiled Wonderland first.

I'm from South America, so I'm used to having to wait for all the releases I see on booktubers' channels for at least a year, usually longer. So I feel kinda smug that I've already read the new anthology by Mariana Enríquez since it was released in Spanish in March here 😊 I did enjoy it, though I prefer Things We Lost in the Fire and The Dangers of Smoking in Bed (especially) over this one.

I've been saying app-uh-lay-shuh for years and finally decided to try and pronounce it the right way for the first time so people would stop correcting me 🤣
@@BooksandLala having lived all over Appalachia, "app-ul-lay-shuh" is pretty common in northern Appalachia and people won't bat an eye if you pronounce it the other way. But god help you if you pronounce it "app-uh-lay-shuh" in the south lmao
