For those of you gaining confidence to do this job thanks to this video let me help shoot it down 🙂. Homie here is making this seem too easy… not on purpose.
I attempted and achieved the removal of the bolts he’s talking about. However be prepared for the level of patience that will be required. If you have large hands your fingers will be on position that will help with bedroom performance later on. You might lose the bolts, you might even lose your 10mm. Have a therapist ready or a good spouse for stress relief

I wish I could have done a video on the entire thing. Going into it I didn't expect it to be such a PITA. Glad it helped !

Don't actually need to remove egr or water bypass to access starter bolts. I used a 3/8" ratchet w/ a deep socket 14mm to remove and reinstall the two starter bolts with the egr and water bypass still installed on the engine.

Very difficult for a sequoia but possible, currently doing this.

I used a flux capacitor that easily bypassed the molecular condenser

🙏 could you change the title of your video to say 4Runner and 4.7 etc.,? I'd looked at a ton of videos for changing out the starter on my 2006 4th gen Toyota 4Runner. Yours was extremely helpful! Many thanks! - Eric in NC

How long do you think the whole process would take from taking off everything to putting everything back together. Nice video.

@@royharley hey man just now seeing this. Honestly I ran into a lot of issues.. you have to take the top off and that includes the fuel rails. I ended up having a few fuel injectors o rings break and ended up just getting some refurbished ones.
Just be careful and take things slow. If you have no issues and have some help.. maybe 3 hours?

no wonder i couldn't find it - they put it in a stupid place. were you tearing the whole thing down anyway, or how long did it take to get that far?

Yeah mine went out so I had to swap the whole thing out. Took me a few hours..I think it was around 3

Why don’t people use 1/4 for right shit like this? I primarily use 1/4 and it makes life easy. This stuff isn’t on at 100 ft lbs so don’t see why people overlook this approach
