In today's video of Josh Talks UPSC, UPSC 2022 topper AIR 2 Garima Lohia shares her journey. Garima came from a very small town Buxar, Bihar where she faced many adversities during her preparation time. She cleared UPSC exam in her 2nd attempt without any coaching classes, she prepared for this exam by self study only. In this talk, Garima shares her challenges along with her preparation time management strategy for UPSC.

Our current DM sir had hosted a program for youth in which he has invited several upsc toppers like Ishita kishore mam, garima mam and Kanika mam and many more there they shared their experience and also guided aspirants.
Thanks mam. Very good speech, quite motivational to hear you cracked this exam despite being raised by a single parent (mother) ,faced a lot of challenges, financial being one of them still topped the exam by Air -2 against all odds.

Garima ma'am has said absolutely right that every aspirant is afraid of what's in store for him or her. He or she is so anxious about his or her result. Even I Vikash Kumar belonging to Lakhisarai, Bihar did not qualify for NET, just missed by 0.79 percentile last time by May 2023 but I qualified for NET & JRF in English with 99.09 percentile by July 2023. I also felt the same, Garima ma'am. I too had been preparing for NET at home for four years without getting admitted to a PhD. Thank you, Josh team, for a true administrator.

Studying from home is very difficult, especially for girls because they have to do all the household work along with studies.
Abhi same cheez ho ri hai mere sath.. Neet ka prep karu ki ghar main help karu..
Phir mummy papa bhi itna nhi samjhte.. Koi bhi relative aata hai toh mere hi room main aakar baith jaate hai aur baath karna suru.. Bahar bhi ni ja sakti rude ho jaega..
Ladte hai toh ekdam pagal jese pura din barbaad kar dete hai mera..
Festival main bhi aage raho.. Saara kaam karo.. Kya kare samaj hi ni aata..
