Black American and Proud to be Black 😮💪🏿🙏🏿
Proud to not be recognized in law🤔🤔🤔 umm ok what ever you say
I’m a 74 year-old white man and I find this man was obviously an over comer and an inspiration.
Facts!
Why did you feel the need to say you were white
◻️power
Yeah so what you being white gotta do with this smart and intelligent man you have a problem with this black man did this and you didn't this is the problem with this racist ass MF country this country was built on black people's backs blood sweat and tears 😡😡😡😡
@@ScarlettO-Hare29You said 💬power huh so why did you say that not cool at all
IBEW still standing today I'm so proud too be BLACK BLESSED ✊
Facts ✊🏾
@garyellis3881 • JEAN BAPTISTE DU SABLE, WAS THE BLACK MAN WHO FOUNDED THE CITY OF CHICAGO.
We did it All
Aii I can say is wow
@sharongreene5869 Sure, I mean except for literally everything
But a 6th grade education in 1922 was smarter that a high-school education is now.
Yes . In the early part of the 20th century, the fifth grade was the highest grade.
FACTS
W😮W ị Wasn't Aware Of Thiz Great 4 Him 4 Pippin Up We Always Makin Stuff That Set Black Ppl Apart From The Rest😂😂 Amazing.... I Wonder If They Found Away 2 Steal This I Bet This Not N His Name Or His Ppl Not Gettin A
#1.00 i Wouldn't Be Surprised If They Changed The Name So They Could Get over On Him When He Passed😢 That's What They Do Evildoers😢
It wasn’t smarter. They didn’t have all these education requirements for jobs like they do now. Before you could work your way up in a company and even become the president with just your experience. But now all you need is that degree. It doesn’t matter your experience. Meanwhile you have people in the company today who know the job far better than that person with the degree. Like they say when black folks start to show excellence they move the requirements up. My dad was one of these people. 4th grade education who rose to prominence in his business. My dad made the equivalent of 1 mil a year in today’s money. I’m too proud of my father.
I'M FROM CHICAGO, I REMEMBER WHEN WE MOVED IN OUR HOUSE IN 1959, AND MAMA AND DADDY SAID THE HOUSE NEEDED REWIRING AND DADDY SAID HIS FRIEND TOLD HIM ABOUT THIS BLACK OWN COMPANY WOULD DO OUR HOUSE HE SAID HE KNEW HIM, HE WAS HE'S FRIEND I REMEMBER THEY WERE SO PROUD IT WAS A BLACK COMPANY REWIRING THE HOUSE. IT WAS THE TAYLOR CO.
But yet you don't remember they weren't calling us African American in 1956 smfh lmao wow
@@originallonewolf6643 NO THEY CALLED US NEGROES BACK THAN, WE DON'T CALL ARE SELF'S THAT TODAY, EXCEPT YOUNG PEOPLE USE THE N- WORD FOR FUN, THAT'S WHAT THEY CALLED US ALL, PEOPLE CAN'T CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF ORIGIN, I WISH NO ONE WOULD. USE IT , FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE AND KNOWING THE HISTORY OF THE WORD THE WORD WOULD CAUSE, GREAT HARM AND PAIN. GOD BLESS.
In spite of all the mean things that happened to black people in America, they still manage to create and create.
!!!
it's said, "Necessity is the mother of invention." Whites put up roadblocks to success, and we found or created ways around it.
Create. Create. That's the way to go.
It would be nice if they would stop tearing it all down. Stores are leaving black communities because the blacks they serve are driving them out of town.
The black community needs to step it up and put a stop to this. This nonsense is not a racist thing. It's a stupid thing.
Get control of your community.
Yeah sure @@greenqueen2673
Maybe it wasn't as mean as you have been told. Maybe there were many white people who helped and cheered him on. My great grandfather was about his age and would have never done anything bad to a black person ever.
His company exists today...a major electrical contracting company in Chicago.
Indeed!
Thanks for letting us know!❤
And his family still owns it

This is a shame that it took me 42 years to learn about this brother! 🤯
Proud of him!!!
This is just another reminder of how brilliant black people are 😅
Why would anyone dismiss this?
you are right, why would they?
Same reason black wall street in Tulsa was destroyed. The images of successful black folks and communities are threatening to the establishment.
It doesn’t fit the narrative around black people
All I can say is WOW on all you black history facts that have been kept hidden from US n THANK YOU❤🕶️🎯💯⚖️
Thank you for the information. He was a brilliant man of color... God Bless all of the inventors of color........🙏❤👏👏👏👏
We as Black Americans our ancestors have invented and created so many things, we must continue to follow these great accomplishments, remember we as Black people in America must be ten times better than the others to be noticed and one hundred times better to be remembered, BE YOUR BEST AT ALL TIMES MAKE YOURSELF A PERSON TO BE NEEDED. WE ARE ALL GREAT,WE ARE ALL SPECIAL,WE CAN ALL DO MORE TOGETHER THAN DIVIDED AS A WHOLE OF HUMANS ON THIS EARTH. NO MATTER WHAT COLOR YOUR SKIN IS OR WHAT PART OF THIS EARTH WE ARE FROM WE ARE ALL HUMANS, MAKE IT YOUR DUTY TO BE GREAT AND RESPECT ALL. JOIN HANDS AND BE GREAT TOGETHER. THEY WANT US TO DIVIDE TO MAKE IT EASIER TO CONQUER.

Thanks for history lesson. Amazing story!
Glad you enjoyed it
Just imagine where this world would be if black people were allowed to use our creativity. We're the most creative people on this earth, just remember, contrary to popular belief, TMH is a black man, he created all this , and his creativity is in us.
We did it all❤🎉, but refuse to give us our credit 😮
What in the dark must reveal in the light 🚦 🖤.
That gentleman is the example and definition of doesn't matter what color you are anything is possible i always get happy learning about men like him, I'm Mexican but i always think black people have so much potential to overcome anything but like many of my kind choose the easy life and the wrong way

This is Foundational Black American culture
My people survived a group of beings that have tried to destroy us for centuries and still wont leave us alone till this day. We're truly the strongest people that have ever walked the earth!
Ever wonder why Black His-Story Month is always centered around MLK, Rosa Parks, and Frederick Douglas? But never these brothers/sisters who pulled themselves up by their own bootstraps?

#Stephanie Sinclair
#Mary Bethune
#Charles Drew
#George Washinton Carver

A Black man founded the city of Chicago.
Wonder great thank you for the information 777😊🎉❤
Thanks for watching!
I know the story he was never admitted to the IBEW!
International brotherhood electrical workers stills hurting black ⚫️ men today. In 2024
Indeed, and its tragic!
That's right they have the audacity to say their union brothers and discriminate against black men and women smdh
Do you have evidence of this?
@@Harveyw1000Do you live under a rock?😂
@amoore1505 actually I am black and live in the IBEW.
What a great man!
Thanks for SHARING
Taylor is a inspiration to the world Sam taylor
What same great talent! IBEW were run by small minded people… The good he did and if the union was smart they would have took him in and supported him to create jobs for those who wanted to be an electrician!
Thanks❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for this video. I'm going to have to look him up.
Black people stand up. We have beautiful minds. People owe us so much. We have to bring back the old black inventor mind set.
That's funny.

My pleasure!
I wouldn't dimiss any historical facts. Especially out of Chicago, since I was born there. The Chi can use a positive boost, nowadays. Even an historical one.

I wouldn't assume that I dismiss history of America❤
IBEW is the ish!
Awesome video❤
"AWESOME BKL. FOLKS.❤
Real talk about it facts about Niji life
Why does this group not want to be solely 'Americans ' like all others do? None of them has even a remote interest in Africa. Not 1 of them even mentions the fact that TODAY there are 70000 slaves in Africa.
That's ironic. IBEW wouldnt let Sam in, they wont let me out.
thanks wow
Learned something
He was not a African American. He was an AMERICAN
What’s the difference?
Hard to pledge to a flag which demonstrates such racism 🤔
ANOTHER AMONG MANY NOT TOLD OF BLACK ACCOMPLISHMENT DONE IN AMERICA. " ANOTHER ONE "!!!! BLACK'S INVENTED BASICALLY EVERYTHING IN AMERICA. MANY MANY THINGS THAT'S USE TODAY OF IMPORTANCE.❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
No not at all
A chain is only as strong as its weakest and link. Wouldn't this country be greater if there was equal opportunity for all of its citizens???????
We should start a black election school
Chicago has a lot of Taylor's from Mississippi and Arkansas
Probably would dismiss? No. Probably didn't know? Yes.
I don't dismiss American African history.
Damn y'all see we are brilliant people. Only a 6th grade education
Black people have done other great things and never got credit or the prodigy was stolen.
Old Chicago
Thank you for the history. Please prove that he’s an African and he’s not a indigenous American.
😂a 3rd grade was better than a high school diploma now!
He wouldn’t have been considered African-American back then African-American is a misnomer
you are correct!
I'm a child of the fifties . African american and black were names we chose to be called instead of negro !" We no longer wanted caucasians to name us ,so we chose our own name to be referred as .what's really a shame is people who make issue with this are completely clueless of the history of why !" We went through incredibly difficult times in the past . We were taught to hate our skin ,our heritage ,our ancestral lineage!" Color struck was a term we used to refer to our own people who favored lighter skinned individuals in our communities .That remnant of psychological programming is what sparked us to rename ourselves ,to show pride in our African ancestry regardless of the racial bias we experienced . Young people today are not educated to understand it took a long time to get to now !" To have generations who never saw a whites only colored only sign !'" Where racial bias is seen as an outlier that needs attention ,rather then a normal everyday way of life you'd be wise to keep silent about !" For those who were enslaved, brutalized , programmed to hate their own skin , and look to whites as their lords !" We proudly wore African american as a defiant reminder we have not forgotten ourselves and where we came from !" We wanted those caucasians to always have to say African whenever they spoke about us !" Not negro or colored as they dismissively referred to us in the past !"" I hope that gives you some context to consider !""
This why their trying to get rid of black History... question is - Why🤔
