These are cool, but maybe not for me. I missed out on the earlier version. But I must say I hate when mezco does this, I'm still waiting for the BTAS figure to drop for preorder. I mean damn lol. But these would go good with that figure for a Batman vs TMNT display.
As a newer TMNT fan and already have the first set, I think it’s okay to pass on this one. I was hoping they’d come with something new than just the heads. I wish they finally revealed Casey or announce Shredder and or splinter. I get they wanna capitalize on the hype but maybe a different character would’ve been better
Mezco got me again! I wasn't going to go in on these (since I have the first set), but those Toei animation-inspired heads are great! I do wish they came with four trench coats instead of all those weapons I won't use, but overall the set does look super fun. And it's in stock and not a preorder, so another bonus! Do you get into Mondo stuff at all? They're putting up their TMNT soft vinyl line for preorder next week, so I'm super excited for those, too!
Initially I thought it was a cool release. I ordered them and then immediately cancelled. I have two sets of the original as well and they might be my favorite mezco release. These just feel a little mishmashed with the reused sculpts. The hyper textured skin doesn’t play on a cartoon version for me. They kind of look geriatric with all those wrinkles. The blank staring eyes also kind of freak me out. Great video though. All your reviews are top tier!
Mezco makes some nice figures, BUT . . . Their customer service and distribution ain't about 💩 I gotta be the only one still waiting on Storm Shadow at this point, which probably means my Firefly will ship the day after never 😤

It clearly states, on multiple occasions, there is soft goods, with this release. AGREED, we don't see images of any soft goods. Curious how this turns out. Of course, mezco is known, for their soft goods. Either way, keep up the excellent work, cheers!✌️
yeah I think they are referring to belts and pads. Which still sucks cuz it is lacking accessories, Still getting but I do hope they atleast put in a nice collector tin case.
Simple answer is since this came out of nowhere i don’t have the extra $400 to spend right now. The first set i was able to justify getting cause I was put that money away since it was on preorder for so long.
Man I’m saying, I wanted to do the same with the first set. Watched them sit available for MONTHS on BBTS. Then they get spotted in person as comic con and they barely ever popped back up. Lol Devastated I couldn’t snag another of that one. 😢 plus this set has a bunch of haters. Gonna be a bunch of people wishing they grabbed one..
These look awful...head sculpts except for Raphs are just off.. lifeless...the bodies also don't work for this rendition...hard pass on this half passed attempt by Mez

Fair points, i agree on the soulless shark eyes of the particular head sculpts. They really need to be slightly off centered imo.
