Govee rock lights as welcome/puddle lights on 2020 ridgeline sport

I had a great idea to use/install my new govee rock lights as welcome/puddle lights. it took about 2hrs to install. (really clean) i wired the to a hidden accessory plung behind the driver dash that mimics the interior lights. they look amazing. im running them as white but they will do any color and all kinds of patterns. each light can be individually controlled. so many fun options! im very happy! whatcha think? big shout to my brotha Effin chet for all the help!!✌️✌️

@@The_Wellness_Warrior_ so on the Ridgeline there is a secret accessory wire that is basically connected to the door switch that I tapped into to give it the on off switch

@@Xplicit_fpv sorry to be a pain in the ass. I wanna do this to my 23 ridgeline. So it’s not the connector for the factory welcome lights correct. I was thinking about using that but if your was is easier I rather go down that road lol.

The magical plug has a positive and a I only use the negative and had to use a constant power so that it would keep memory so it would retain what color I used. I believe the plug was directly behind where you turn off your traction control and stuff have to take down your lower dash to find it. Mine was like a baby blue. If you were to go a different route and not get Smart Ones and just a single color then you could run them to one of the lights to turn on and off with them because it wouldn't need to keep memory Etc
