“Son, it’s come time we need to have a talk about your ball joint angles.”
lol weld um lol jk...
😭😭
Keep up the good work and glad you guys are making people aware of the pros and cons.
Thank you!
I know most people don’t like body lifts but you could stack a body lift on top of a lift. That’s what I did to get a 9” lift on my 13 ram 1500
U just answered a question I have been trying to find for a lonnngggg time (: thanks for bideo
This is exactly what I want/need to do to my 2016-F150-XLT-V8. Damn, I really wish you guys had a shop here in Tampa FL. My truck would be there all the time.
Tony Draper ain't fucking with the eco shit huh?
A lot of guys I’ve noticed stack body lifts on suspension lifts. That way you don’t shred your suspension components too fast.
Another case is (like mine) spindle lifts and coil spacers. A spindle lift just drops the hub assembly (2wd) lower and keeps the same angles and then adding a coil spacer is just like putting a leveling kit on stock suspension. I have 3.5” spindle lift and a 3” coil spacer making 6.5” of lift
Question bro , I have a 2wd currently on a level (springs and shocks ) but I want to add a 4inch lift , what should I do? Or what do you recommend
@@edwardgonzalez8378 spindles. It it’s a Chevy crank the keys 🤙
I have a 7 inch rough country I love it but I’m annoyed that the lifted 3/4 ton are taller than my 1500 Silverado I want something taller
I'm going to lift my 2014 silverado soon with the rough country 7 inch and stack it with my 2 inch level to make it 9 inch. But I'll also add a 3-5 inch body lift later.
Did this on my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT to fit 35s. Looks good and no issues.
Still no issues?
Did something similar to my 12' Ram 1500. 6" bds lift, used 5100 bilstein struts and set them for 1.5 inches of lift. Since I had a leveling kit in my truck to begin with I used the rear spacer on top of the lift coils to gain an inch there. But I upgraded my UCAs and the the kit came with a front diff drop so my angles aren't so cringeworthy.
Did you go with the 5” rear coils?
On the Mcgaughys lift site they have the same thing you did. Not saying you copied. But the only 8" kot I could find for my f150 was one with a 6 inch kit, add-a-leaf, spacers and Bilstien 5100 adjustable shocks as well. It says it keeps the angles perfect.
I put my own lift kit on for the first time. And ordered new struts (not knowing they were a 6” lifted strut) then I put the front spacer on too and ended up with the meanest “Cali lean” so then I ended up taking that spacer out and just putting my rough country 2.5” spacer on top just like he said and truck looks a lot better now lmao
We don't recommend stacking spacers on top of lift kits.
Custom Offsets you mean not stacking spacers on a reg 6 inch spacer kit since it’s spacer on spacer but you could do it on 6inch lifted strut kit since it does not use a spacer and would be staking spacer on top of strut correct ?
Custom Offsets does that count for leveling kits ?
@@jeremysierra4763does this work?
I did this to my Silverado. I have a 7.5 lift RC lift kit. And I did add a 2.5 lift kit. The 2.5 lift was a 2 piece , One spacer for the top of the strut, and one for the bottom. I sold the top piece and kept the bottom one. So I’m prettt much ah like 9.. I’m saying 9 because my buddy had a 9 inch mcgaughys lift and parked next to each other we were dead on leveled. BUT my rear was higher. By like an inch. I did have to install RC 3 inch lift upper control arms cause the stock ones MESSED UP FAST. ride isn’t so great. But it looks good. My CV Axles are maxed. But still work fine.
not sure if you’ll see this 5 years later but i currently have a 7.5 rc and i’m trying to get more height to run 37s just curious what kit your ordered
I'd like to see a vid on fixing CV angles. But regardless, thanks Brad!
Custom Offsets i got a 2014 raptor , and i currently have installed the fox 3.0 coilovers , iam shocked this f150 didnt have problems with the cv binding using a leveling kit merged with a lift kit , anyway my question could i adjust the fox 3.0 coilovers on the raptor on the top maximum perch without binding the cvs ??
Ps . I got Total chaos upper control arms already installed so i dont have to worry that much about them with lift the front
WeekendWarriors ik its a raptor , the point is iam going to install Progressive leaf springs which give the rear 1.5 inches of lift , that would create a rake so i want to level it out ..
You have to get a larger drop on the front cross member to fix cv angles. This will make less ground clearance in the middle, but is really the only way. That's y the gm rough country 7.5" lift has bad angles, cause the cross member drop is only like 4", but they put a strut spacer to make it 7.5". That's why you'll see companies that call their lifts "true 6" lift...or whatever size ) is because the cross member is 6" more (or whatever size? than the factory c.m.
shawn pops in a 0:41 LMAO
Thank you for sharing this.
Great episode guys. Thank you.
Isn't this how rough country comes on their 7.5". There's a huge spacer on the front struts
Yes
could you use a 2"level kit and a 3" Knuckle/Spindle Kit.
How it turn out?
Bc I got a 3 inch level and now getting 3 inch spindle
I have a 2012 silverado ltz.put a 3 inch strut spacer and 3 inch knuckle and rough country upper control arm.gave me a true 6 inch lift.with 3 inch rear block and 2 add a leaf by zone.and black max shocks.damn thing drives like a Cadillac on the road and holds the ground on the dirt.i didn't want that extra tall block in rear.seem too unstable.and didn't want that 6 inch spacer looking all generic on top of my strut.and rebuilt entire front end.all under 600.00
I have a 2018 f150 rwd i have a 4.5” maxtrac spindle kit and im about to stack 2.5” leveling kit to make 7” of lift and a 4” block in the rear. The ucas should sit like a 2.5” leveling kit only bc the maxtrac spindles keep the geometry the same
Yes!! Thank you I been wanting you to explain it now I know how to do it to my 2009 f150
Send or upload a pic when you git it done i have an 09 f150 super cab i am wanting to get lifted also
What about doing it the other way around? Say getting a 4" BDS lift kit with the big spacer and replacing the stock strut with a Bilstein leveling strut set to 1" of lift? What I really want is a 5" front lift with 4" rear blocks on my 2017 F-150, but BDS only makes 4 or 6 kits.
That should work, but check forums and Facebook groups and see what others have done!
You could do that but it's going to ride very stiff
Would it be ok if i get a 2-3in level then add bigger blocks in the back to keep the rake? And what would i have to correct for angle wise?
I’d get a 3 inch spindle instead of a level. Lowers your hub instead of giving you bad angles
Holy CV angle, Batman
ya boy brad
I literally just found out about this shit 3 days ago looking at one of your pictures of a titan with a 9" lift
I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 4wd and Zone 6.5” lift. I’m looking to remove the spacer and add a 7” lifted strut. Do you think it would be okay?
I have a 6inch rc lift I changed the front struts to 6 inch struts with no spacer. Now can I add the rc leveling kit on it and a add a leave in the back. Would I still need new control arms
I’m thinking about doing that same on my 21 Silverado, did you do it and how did it work out???
I have a 2008 Chevy Tahoe I put a 2 inch lower level kit and a 3 inch uper strut spacer. On factory components will my CV joints and all be ok by doing that
rob owens it'd be bad on your front end. Definitely get a diff drop
Great job at explaining this. I am thinking about doing the same thing except I have an 05 1/2 ton Suburban 4x4 & am wondering if I can get away with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
So yr saying if I buy fox shocks 3” lift I can add 2” spacer for a total of 5”?
^^^^ Someone please answer this
@@fishwalleye9517 still waiting
What about spindle? Does the upgraded spindle not add inches to the lift?
what about if you keep the strut on top, and put a Rough Country style bottom spacer...
Would that work?
@Lavel. send an email to info@customoffsets.com and they should be able to help you out with your question!
Can someone tell me how to get the parts for the diff drop.
I would love to replicate what hes talking about
I'm running a 7 inch bds, thanks for info saved me 4k
The real question is what other upper control arm can we get. That would let us have the angles we need. I have a rc 5in strut & knuckle kit going with a 2in level= 7in total lift. What other brands would work for this..
Did you figure out what uca to use going through this now
Kryptonite tierods & uca/ 2in Motofab level/ 5in full suspension rough country kit. Worked perfect, had this set up for 5 years. No issues sold truck. Thanks.
Cv angles. Drive shaft pinion.
All stuff you have to factor in when trying to stack kits!
I would advise against
09 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 4x4. It had RC 2.5 Level spacer (bottom) and a 3" lift block in rear (truck came with that and I got the front second hand)
I added Rancho Quick lift 0-2" to the front to level it and have blown two cv axles, stressed the front end that I've had an endless vibration the last two months.
Do the right thing, get a proper kit with all components. Don't stack stuff not ment to stack
So right now i have a bilstien 2.8 inch longer strut, can i just add a 6 inch lift kit with the 6 inch soacer to get 8.8 inches?
So which would be safer a 2inch level strut with a 2in spacer on top ot a 2 .5 inch strut with 1.5 spacer on top of an 06 to 08 ram 1500 4x4
Not sure if I'm too late for a response, I know you can't give a direct yes or no answer, but my question is I have a 2wd 2006 Silverado with a 6inch rc lift, I'm wanting to ditch the coil spacer and put in the 6inch Fabtech 6inch lifted coil, but also add a 1or 2 inch coil spacer on top of that. Putting aside any driveline issues I could have, my concern is if I can extend the rc nitro 2.0 shocks another inch or 2 like that? Or would I need to find some kind of adjustable shock? Most information it seems are for struts so I've been a little confused on what would happen with my shock, it also seems pretty tough to find the parts I need because it is 2wd lol. Any help would be appreciated!
If i have a rc 7.5 lift in my silverado 2011 with the strut that makes it 7.5 and rc upper control arms can i add a 2.5 under the shock leveling kit in the front ?
I don’t know but I’m about to

I dont necessarily want to go higher, I just want to level out the front end of my truck. Its a 2014 tundra with a 6 inch Bds lift and I need to pick the front end up around 1.5 to 2 inches for it to be leveled out. How can I achieve this?
Send an email to info@customoffsets.com and our suspension specialist will be able to help you out with your question!
I have a 99 F-150 with a 3 inch sprindle lift... can I add a leveling kit onto it??
I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 rocky ridge. It has a 4” spacer but everything has been dropped for a 6” lift. Can I just add a 2” leveling kit? My angles are terrible right now. But just the opposite of what you usually see on lifter trucks. My control arms and cv’s point up instead of down. I assume 2” more would make my angles just about flat. Can I do this?? Also. Can I go higher than 6” in the rear. The tallest rear block I can find is 6”? Can I not go higher than that without a longer axle?
We do not recommend stacking spacers the best thing to do would to just go with a bigger kit. Here is a link to lift kits that fit your vehicle:
www.customwheeloffset.com/store/suspension?year=2014&make=GMC&model=1500&drive=4WD
I have a 17 ram 1500 4x4 with 6inch zone with 5 inch rear coils. The rear still sits higher then front of coarse but down the road would like to level the front out. What would i use ? Would i use the 2" zone level kit an c arms ? Or what way should i go ?
Yeah that would work for you!
Idk if you guys check your comments on old videos anymore but i have a question on this topic. I have a 2001 chevy silverado 1500 rwd with a 6 inch rough country lift already on it. The front is still pretty noticably raked so I was wondering if I could put 2 inch lift coil springs in to hopefully level it out since I literally just bought the lift kit and cant afford a different one. Hope you see this comment, your videos are awesome and super helpful.
Smaller rear blocks
I have a 2006 Ford f150 fx4 and I want to do a 4 inch lift and I dont want to do a spacer but i saw that the 6 inch lift does come with a lifted strut but i dont want to go the full 6 inch. Do they make a lifted strut for the 4 inch lifts or only for 6 inches?
PERFECT VIDEO!!!..but PLEASE do this on a 01-06 2wd Tahoe!!!... with a rc ntd lift!...I personally know soooo many people that want to add keys and coil spacers to there rc lifts but are worried about there diff angle and the rear axle traction bars...
Have an 2018 silverado 2wd, has a 4.5 rc lift want to add 1.5 or 2.5 spacers on front , is it ok. Just want some more height.
How can I get my mcgoughys 7-9" lift leveled front to rear? I don't like the squat look on it
I have a tuff country 4 inch lift. It doesn't use a new knuckle. Just a spacer. Doesnt put the drive angles at the best but i had my uncle shave down the spacer sonits definitely better. But can you buy a knuckle from. Another company and install them with a different kit? Like a tough country knuckle and add it??
I have a 2nd that I just put a 3 inch spindle lift on. I was to add another 2 - 3 inches. So I can keep the spindle, and add a bigger 2 inch coil and shock and I’ll be good? And just add a big block in the rear with shocks to pair with the block. Is that correct?
Damn this guy confused the fk out the video..
My Boy Brad! What Up!
So pretty much if you have a diff drop lift.... You can add a leveling kit? I've got a 2020 Chevy Silverado with a 8 inch lift with the diff drop and I'm going to add a 3in spacer and just stack the rear possibly welding together or Fab up a rear block
I’m on the same page with you. I have a 21 Silverado with the RC 6” kit, front end has the diff drop and extended struts. So no harsh angles up front. And rear has the 6” block and 4.5-8” n3 shocks. I’m about to pull the trigger and do a 2” strut spacer in the front and a 2” add-a-leaf. How did yours turn out?
Would it be okay if I stack a 2.5 on my RC 6" kit without adding anything. Can I get away with just getting UCAS?
2017 ram 1500.
We do not recommend stacking lifts, but you can look through forums to see what others did!
Can i stack a 5in spindle lift on top of my 6in rc suspension lift???
08 silverado 2wd lifting the front with a 3 inch spacer on top and a 1 inch spacer on the bottom , I' m also changing out the ucas with ones that work with a 2-4 inch lift do you believe I will be okay?
You'll be putting alot of stress on alot of components with the struts pushing down on stock everything that much. Need to do it the right way and have a lift kit Regis.
Can i install 1" spacer on top of my 6" rough country struts on 2011 tundra????
Can I do this with a Chevy 1500 I have a strut lift and added air bags for towing and but the rear sits higher. I will be install the cognito upper control arms but want to put a 3in leveling kit on top of my current 7in rough country strut lift.
I leveled my truck with a 2 inch leveling kit. Going in for a alignment and now they say I need new cv axels (extended performance) because my truck is now “lifted”. Is this true guys? Please help
what about the bilstein shocks with spacers
I'll send an update on this exact setup as I have a procomp 6" on my 16' 4x4 f150 and since day one I've always felt the front end looked lower then the rear , so I only want it up about an inch maybe inch an a half , so I got the bilstine 5100 adjust strut and getting those put on with new tires and alignment ,today so I'll let you know how it works out
So this setup works and looks awsome man, I got all the work done it rides nice and brought it up ( I only went on the middle adjustment so 1 1/2") , but I like it and it aligned quite nice to. Hope this helps .
I have a 2011 silverado with a 4” cst lift with strut spacers and the diff drop so my cv’s are almost level. Can I replace the 4” strut spacer with a 6” strut to end up with 6 inches of lift? If i can I’ll order on your site tonight!
the extra 2" may push your CV and ball joint angles to a unsafe/unreliable amount of angle Michael, best bet would be to do some research on it and see if it can handle that much more angle
Talkin bout doin research... did u kno uca drop bracket from 2014 n up Silverado will fit 2007 to 13.. which can b used with LCA drop crossmember,n with sum“modification” to hav a lift that’s not a cookie cutter lik everyone else..
I have a 2013 f250 and i'm installing a 8 inch radius arm lift from superlift. The front has full 8 inch coils and shocks. Can I stack 2 inch leveling kit under 8 inch coil for 10 inches of lift? Want to clear 24x14 on 37 without much trimming
We do not condone stacking lifts. Best bet is to either not do it or buy a bigger lift kit.
so adding a .5” or 1” spacer to a bilstein 5100 on a 5th gen ram rebel would be fine?
Could I put the 3 inch rc kit that’s just lifted coil springs on a 2.5 inch leveling kit to come out to 5.5 inches or how would that work
We cannot recommend stacking due to liability but you can do some research and find out what stuff works together and what does not
damn and i thought my cv angles were bad!
codyraab1 mind you it’s still being supported by the shop lift, so the front end is just hanging at the moment
What about a readylift sst 3.5 with the uca correction, and a leveling strut so 5” in the front to make it sit level?
Finally Brad you made a good video can you make a video if some coilovers or strut assemblies are interchangeable from a two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive what I did is I have two wheel drive F-150 and I wanted to add a four inch rough country struts on the website it only said they are only for four-wheel drive application I popped these on on my two-wheel drive in a gave it for and a half in of lift about half an inch taller than regular it had the same mounting points I couldn't find nowhere in the forums or any video about somebody doing this so I have to spend my own money and I did it on my own taking that $394 risk
Could I stack a 2 1/2 leveling kit on my 7.5 lift on my 2011 Chevy Silverado I scrub with 24x12 -57 35s. Would I be fine?
We do not recommend stacking lifts, but you can search forums to see what others did!
As long as its just the Torsion keys. Maybe lower them juat a tad. Thats why I bought the maxxcam keys so that I can adjust them accordingly when I decide to get shocks and control arms.
Hoping this can get answered Thank you in advance hi bought a 5 inch rough country lift basically upfront 3 inch spindles with 2 inch spacer on bottom can I add a 2 inch spacer on top
2004 f150 4x4 I have a rough country 6” strut lift and mechanic says that for the life of him he can’t fit the 2” spacer on top. Is there something we r missing? And what else should I do to correct everything? Thank you in advanced.
I have a question regarding this video. I have a 2014 F250 ccsb 4X4 diesel with a 6 inch fabtech lift. My question is can i put two inch coil spacers on my lift, my 22X12's on 37's rub and i would like to go to a 14 inch wide wheel. I don't want to cut or buy another lift kit. I was thinking adding a 2 inch spacer to the front and a 4 inch block with my lift springs and removing the stock two inch block. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You for your time.
We do not recommend stacking lifts together, it stretches components to angles and lengths the kit was not intended for.
Id like to know what i can do to raise up my front end higher then the rear without having bad angles on my upper control? I got a 5inch rough country lift kit on my 2016 2wd chevy silverado? The rear is probably like 2.5 inches higer.

If you listened in the video, we cannot recommend stacking setups, its something you'd have to research on your own Kernal
I had fox 2.0 coilovers and icon delta joint UCA put on my 2018 Silverado to "level" it from factory stance (at least that's what the shop where I had it done told me it was gonna do) and fox shocks on the rear. The back still still sits probably almost 1 to 1 1/2 inches higher...any ideas on what I can do to make it more leveled?

I have a leveling strut that’s about 2 inches, could I put a 3 inch spindle lift in? I read that spindle lifts don’t change angles. Would this work or mess up my front end?
Yes
So it should be ok to take an already leveled truck with say a Halo Lift Aluma coilover at say 2-2.5" and then buy a 4" lift kit and just add a 2" spacer to your coilover, that should be ok to get you to the 4" height?
It’s not recommended but yes

Can you stack a 2 " level on top of a 6 " BDS w/ Fox coilover kit on a 2018 2wd F150 w/5" block in the rear and put a 1.5"add a leaf in rear with BDS UCA's? can i get away with this as far as correctng angles?
Any update on what you went with? I have a similar idea for my 02' Silverado 1500. To correct the angles, a drop on the front cross member will help CV angles, and a UCA or new spindle should help the ball joint strain. I'm new to this and would love to hear how your lift design turned out.
