These same kids played two years later in October 2016 with an exciting 19-2 victory for Canton GlenOak over Canton McKinley at Bob Commings Field. GlenOak was led by their running back #9 Elijah Ladson with two nice touchdown runs and especially GlenOak's tenacious defense with 5 key turnovers - four interceptions and a fumble recovery!Good job Eagles!!Although McKinley won the majority of the games in the earlier years, GlenOak holds a 6-5 edge in the last 11games, including 4 of the last 6 games in this rivalry that started in 1977. Over the years this game has become a very good 'Canton' rivalry with both schools producing tough, hard-nosed football teams and great Friday night football. Good luck to both teams!
