I'm not just going to show you the model but I'm also giving my opinions on them. Any criticisms or opinions are my own and can be a hot takes sometimes. Thank you.

Funny how you mentioned Nier Automata. They followed Yoko Taro's " I love sexy women design" despite the impracticality of it (i mean seriously 2b has removable skirts and high heels) and i appreciate them for that. Nevertheless it didnt take away from the game.
The funtionality of that top strap is to give her the chest out impression XD

That 3 holes on her knee (and any other characters or mechas you see anywhere else) is called Buchi Holes" popularized by mech designer Izubuchi Yutaka, it serves no purpose other than just to make things sci-fi looking lol.
you can even draw medieval fantasy armor and add these holes arranged in triangle pattern (or trapezoid that is commonly used) anywhere and suddenly it becomes sci-fi feeling armor xD

Now that you talk about it, no wonder why the redesigned Hi-nu Gundam (the art, not the Gunpla kits) has a lot of these little holes on it, while his older Hi-nu design or the Nu don't have these at all. I wonder when did he implement this design element?

Not necessarily functional or making sense, but looks good and will make it feel more "decorated"
You'd be surprised with chinese fashion with all those useless accessories. My older sis have a lot of jackets with useless belts, baggy pants with a bunch of zippers and more

I find her attractive but It looks like they made the Male Rover's design way better, he looks cool and at the same time has a good design for self-insert so many guys will choose him, I have to choose carefully but she is really pretty and charming
idk i like female rover design way more

She doesn't need to cover skin if she's not gonna be hit, the comparison between her and Male Rover just shows how much better she is in combat compared to him and how much more confident she is in her ability to not get hit, she basically chose to slay rather than protection. :v

That aside, I actually really appreciate your insight on the clothing and practicality from a cosplayer's needs. I can see how making a character outfit actually feasible to wear is a generally good base-line idea for an ingame character design for the case of the cosplayers.

Honestly I like M!Rover a lot better. But I might choose her anyway, just because I always end up regretting picking the male character when I do, even if I like them more (Aether).

@@MagisterialVoyager I just didn't enjoy to be referred as male haha. And having to be him during certain interactions felt off because I'm a girl. Although Aether is still my favorite over Lumine because I like his design more.

I chose Lumine because I wanted that sweet reverse harem (LOL), then chose Stelle on HSR as well for the same reason (though I spent sometime researching Caelus the moment I had to pick which MC).
Male Rover is cute and I do like his English VA, but I think I'll stick to Female Rover for isekai and living vicariously reasons. 😂
Probably going male mc for myself. Fem rover is very pretty but the 4 different hair accessories (the bow which i like the least just... sitting smack at the back of her head) + the straps going to nowhere are killin' it for me. Why do we need a gold ribbon, hair clips, a bow and then the ponytail clasp/thing that also has ribbons. She doesn't feel relatable at all for an MC for me (also not super thrilled they took away the undershirt so now we have boob window + side boob which to each their own but its overkill. Girl shows enough skin as is)

I love her design but i feel like its drastically different from the male version in terms of how much skin is showing. I feel like if she had a jacket like the male or proper pants it would be more respectful and practical but most of her arms and legs are just fully exposed which is the last thing you want when your fighting in a war💀. At least she's easy to simp for❤

i really love her design, but I’m personally not a fan of most of her design aspects. i love modest outfits and as much as i’d love to choose her, i’m gonna choose male rover. maybe gonna make an alt with her as mc
Thank you so much for this video. Your Rover EN Dub video made me want to choose Male Rover, but this breakdown made me fall in love with her (absolutely slay) look, so I'm going to stick to her. And, yeah, as a genuine big ribbon on hair lover IRL, that ribbon part just sold me on it. I can't wait to build my reverse harem, hehehe. 🤣
Im glad!! I feel like my take in this video is very biased and maybe a bit too harsh as im not a big fan of ‘skin here skin there’ outfits. She does slay absolutely hard and the ribbon is so cute
@@OphisOuro The contrast to Male Rover’s appearance is quite jarring, indeed, but such is the pattern, usually. I personally don’t mind. As a regular mini skirt wearer, I do like skin (and being told by kind grannies, “Oh dear, aren’t you cold?” in the winter) so Female Rover actually represents me IRL quite well. 😂😂😂

Lol nice analysis. I personally was disappointed they decided to change to her current shorts as it felt like unnecessary fan service to me. Definitely preferred her previous ones. I would’ve like some kind of sleeves as well if we had to keep them. Oh wells, still choosing her tho.

Personally, I don't consider her a "thirst bait" character at all. Yes, a lot of skin is shown, thighs make us go "Awooga", yada yada yada... But those things aside, she's very darn attractive overall! Her personality doesn't give off the "mommy" vibe, though, it might only be me, but I seriously don't consider her that type of character.
I know, post-apo in war, going there with this outfit ain't smart but let's be real, you're asking for it in game with sci-fi world where everyone has superpowers and technology. Best to look stylish while fightin' some TDs and parkouring around, y'know? :p
