There's an unwritten 'law' in Malaysia, 'you can hate on whoever you want in Malaysia but dont you dare touch Siti.' She's always sweet, humble, good mannered and the only artist in Malaysia who had a clean image since day 1 she's been in the entertainment industry. I'm so happy that you love her too. If I can suggest, try Nirmala.

This song was an ost from a Malaysian film tittled "Putri Gunung Ledang(Princess of mount Ledang)"..This film told about love affair between a Royal family girl from Indonesia with a worrior from Malacca(a state of Malaysia)..
The Princess run from her kingdom and placed herself to mount Ledang(in Johore)..Malacca king proposed her to be his wife but she refused to accept by giving such unbelievable condition due to avoid the proposal..Her true love was the king's worrior,not the king..Actualy the love affair was just an aditional to make the film quite interesting..But in true history the king did proposed her but she refused..Some verson said after the rejection,the king cursed her not to go anyway and only can stay at mount Ledang forever..
The mystery of Princess of mount Ledang are still remain until now..Some hikers claimed that some chosen people can meet the Princess in accident by losing thier track while hiking in mount Ledang..And some people said those who meet the princess was entering the door of another world dimension different from the human world by accident..
By this kind of story so the song have to be outstanding in melody and arrangement..That is why the song tittled "Bagaikan Sakti(like miracle)"..
You can heard the melody line quite exotic asspecialy at the chorus part..
In theory,the melody line sound such like Javanese scale called "Solendro"(represant the princess homeland)..thats why the vowal (singing without words) sound quite floating showing that the melody is inspired from Malaysian and Indonesian folk modes..

The melisma you heard was actually Malay traditional singing style commonly known as "lenggok" (pronounce as "length" + "gawk") in Malaysia. Almost all Malay singers in Malaysia (mostly females) know how to sing this way. If I may suggest, you should also react to Dato' Siti Nurhaliza singing Nirmala live (at any occasions but, the AJL version is one of the best). It is one of the best folk song ever produced in Malaysia together with others such as Cindai and Balqis - which are also sung by her. You will hear more of this singing style & I guess you'll love it!

Hey bro i'm new to your channel but liking your honest reactions. You seem like a decent dude, hope ull be successful in chasing your singing dreams ya. I too used to sing quite a bit but i now its a mere hobby of mine. But always enjoy a good singing and vocal dynamism and music is life for me. Most people who got to sing with Siti are normally a class of their own and normally are leading regional singers because Siti is quite legendary, so her peers are top notch as well. But she is a very very humble person and that's why she is so respectable and a living legend........ Philippines has throngs of vocal legends too the likes of Lea Salonga and surely one day u'll be up there too. Nasir we called sifu or master. Coz every song that has his touch will become hits. M Nasir is a singer/composer/record company owner. And not forgotten M Nasir made this song.
