The way this movie ended gives a possible sequel away. I predict the plot would be the unnamed brown mouse marries Mary, Mary has baby mice and when the young mice are old enough their parents tell them about what they had been through and begin training their offspring to take over their mission of leading the human children in the fight to turn every witch on the planet into rats.

No, they are kids. They are just friends and grow up as a family, and when they grow old they will become world famous which hunters including the grandmother, nothing called romance
I only came up with the idea cos if there is a sequel there has to be someone to take over leading the human children in this fight since mice apparently have a shorter lifespan than people.

The mouse Daisy aka Mary sounds like an over 40 year old Southern woman instead of a young orphan female, some of her script interpretations were unbelievable and corny.. No need to put joker smiles on the witches. Anne Hathaway should have taken notes from the original grand witch. Overall on the scale from 1 to 5 stars this movie gets 4 stars. Not bad.

Imagine if this movie gets a sequel like that. This time, it involves the kids of the witches plan to kill the 3 mice, who were once humans, than all grown up, & plan to do what their mothers & aunts should've done a long time ago. At the end of that sequel, I think all the 3 mice turn back into their human selves.
But in the movie, is (probably) no way to reverse the transformation of the potion that the Witches use to turn children into mice. So, I think Charlie, Bruno and Daisy/Mary will be mice for the rest of their lives. But I love your idea for the sequel

It's better that way. It's also more touching because in the book he's happy to stay a mouse because he doesn't want to live without his Grandmother and by staying a mouse he basically assures that they will die together. The fact that a random witch just decides to turn good and then turn him back to normal again is so jarring and it ruined the original movie for me.
Rould Dahl wrote in his will just before he passed away that any movie version based on one of his books would have to keep the ending the same, so their hands were tied.
