    I don’t know if i’ve ever been more frustrated with this game than when i’ve tried to use Stugs, the accuracy is meh and they can be so annoying to micro.

    • @jdude2175
      @jdude2175 Před 2 měsíci

      I think they have pretty standard tank accuracy. They also have the standard 25% moving accuracy penalty rather than 50% like a marder. You’d expect them to miss fairly often vs stuarts as they have a smaller target size than mediums

  • @rektlife

    The AT-gun constant reface during the big attack at 26:04 is so frustrating to watch. Why does it not shoot at the targets currently within its arc???

    • @jdude2175
      @jdude2175 Před 2 měsíci +1

      TightRope gave it an attack move and unfortunately the target priority in this game seems to prioritise units that are closer to you rather than ones in the arc. I think that’s what’s happening. I’ve noticed it with the leig. Hope they fix that

    NGL, this game is frustrating to watch regardless on whose side you root for.
    As Wehr, you look so helpless against the Stuart spam to the point you only won because you manage to exploit Jesulin's mistakes. It also didn't help that he keeps cutting-off your northern territories and especially the +10 fuel.
    As UKF, it's frustrating that he didn't fully exploit his Stuart spam by not being aggressive at the right time, didn't properly accompany them w/ infantry and other support weapons, failed to kill the Obice da 210/22, miss most of his creeping barrages, and neglected to constantly harass and hold the VPs and let the ticker fall that far.

  • @The_FrogKing
    @The_FrogKing Před 2 měsíci +7

    This game made me cringe. I think at one point I counted 7? 8? Stuarts. He was definitely going for the “make the other guy so annoyed he quits” strategy.

  • @stellar_ape
    @stellar_ape Před 2 měsíci +1

    That’s what I kinda don’t like about coh. Just build a lot of anti everything units and dive. Good thing you prepared for that and it didn’t quite worked out, but without one shot mechanic - combined arms isn’t really required in the late game, as long as your tanks can have AI and AV capabilities. But everything else feels nice in coh.

    • @tightropegaming
      @tightropegaming  Před 2 měsíci +5

      The stuarts are OK vs infantry but they aren't much of a wipe threat.

    • @legendairenic6247
      @legendairenic6247 Před 2 měsíci

      I’ll add that Stuarts are only dangerous against infantry when they’re at vet 2 with small vehicule training. They get enough accuracy buffs to be an infantry killing machine

    • @funbun420

      wait until seeing ranger spamm. 2-3 upgraded rangers wipes any inf chases almost any tank. Thats fun begins.

    • @jdude2175
      @jdude2175 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I think those kinds of strategies are mostly only effective when the opponent doesn’t update their strategy to account for the spam. TightRope built a lot of AT and mines which ruined the stuarts and meant he could overrun the infantry. He also didn’t stick around and allow his infantry to be wiped by them. I’ve encountered ranger spam a fair amount but when I see it starting I build a sniper and maybe a second MG. Pretty good at stopping them from vetting up too because they need to retreat a lot to save manpower. Pinning shot from the sniper is also good at shutting them down and allowing grenades / vehicles to hurt them

    Unrelated but finally bought the game and the timeout for leaving the game in team games is infuriating. When you don't want to fight AI(on either side) and leave you get penalized. When the game is over and your team wont surrender for some reason, you get penalized. They did not think this through.

  • @JohnBigby

    Like I always say, German units are slow and not cost efficient if allies opponent know how to exploit games bad unit implementation. Stugs are not viable in this game, simply armor doesnt cut it. Stug needs range and ROF to get the job done... High armor is useless when fast moving vehicles circle around... Atleast some dmg would be good. Brit player just went for meme with stuarts and couldnt really use it to overrun well. If he command well, one push that all he needed to end thıs game quickly but he just waited and didnt use the advantage...

    • @jdude2175
      @jdude2175 Před 2 měsíci

      Seemed fine to me tbh. Stugs have high rate of fire and pen compared to mediums while costing only 50 fuel. TightRope only built 2 at a time, which is equivalent to about 3-4 stuarts in cost. If you build 8 stuarts then of course you’re going to have more firepower 😂 But you’ve also invested significantly more manpower, fuel, and repair upkeep

    • @JohnBigby
      @JohnBigby Před 2 měsíci

      @@jdude2175 I understand what you mean but unfortunately its only on paper... Stugs range is too near to overrun to its slowness....You Can say that back positioning then what's the purpose of the armor. The pen value is decent Yes the rof kind of but the accuracy is not good with only a couple of seconds to make contact with the target without its flee away...In the second game I always went for stugs even after ROF nerf cuz reliable shots with good range manage to keep good support...I tried and got succes with stugs In COH 3 also but most of the time going for panthers, or brumbaar is more logical for my end... Or my style... Going stuarts with this rate kind of meme cuz not really clever or good late game approach. I like when my opponent does that cuz mines ats and snares tame them well to the oblivion but there is always a luck and cheese value with that stuart overruns. If i go stug or other things taming is harder than it should be...

    • @jdude2175
      @jdude2175 Před měsícem

      @@JohnBigby I agree with you that stugs are not always going to be the most optimal thing to build, but a lot of units in the game are like that - where you build them situationally. Panthers are battlegroup specific, and come out at a much later timing. They require expensive T4 tech, and cost significantly more mp, fuel, and population (500mp and 100f). Brummbar fulfils an entirely different anti-infantry role as well as having late timing. I think the stug makes sense to build reactively if you're behind on fuel and can't afford to tech, or if you're rushing a tiger but need a mid-game brawler tank. They're also quite efficient against matildas, easy 8s and regular shermans, the former 2 being very meta at the moment.
      I think being vulnerable to fast vehicles with flanking is a good weakness given their early timing, but I agree that maybe giving them either +5 range or a small accuracy boost would make them more attractive vs light vehicles. It's a tough one, because you wouldn't want them to totally shut down mid-game light vehicle play
