I've always felt like unless you get the clover maxed out, your triple/penta chest chances get DRASTICALLY nerfed, like there's a flag that says if CurrentCloverLevel < MaxCloverLevel Then CurrentMultichestChance = OldMultichestChance/10
Why do they allow you to increase your luck more than 100%? I imagine they use a formula that increases the probability the higher the value is but I still don't understand it.
@@gasYotube well, this might sound confusing, but say the normal chance is 10% to get a triple chest, and that's your base rate, so your base 100% luck rate of getting a triple chest is 10%, before you have any bonuses applied from your character or clover etc. etc.. if you then had 200% luck, it would mean you get a 20% chance. 300% luck rate would be a 30% chance. and so on.
I imagine a piece of code something like this:
ActualLuck = (100 + CloverItemLevel*10 + NumberCloverPickups*10 + CharcterLuckBonus + MainMenuPowerUpLuckLevel*10 + EggsOn*EggLuckLevel) [edit: forgot to mention, EggsOn is either 1 or 0, i.e. True or False.]
and then on a chest pickup, it would parse that value in when a chest is picked up like so (assuming 10% chance for a triple chest, or 5% for a penta chest):

TripleChest=False
PentaChest=False

else if Random Roll >= 90 then TripleChest=True;
else NormalChest=True;
#this part determines first if you were lucky enough to get a value of exactly 95 or above, which with only the base 100 luck, would only have a 5% chance of happening in a pool of 100 numbers - if not, it checks if you were lucky enough to get 90 or above, which would only have a 10% chance of happening, otherwise it's a normal chest
ChestType = 1*NormalChest + 3*TripleChest + 5*PentaChest
call OpenChest (ChestType)
# now we've decided what type of chest it is, open it using that decision. since True=1 and False=0, the ChestType variable will read 1 if it's Normal, 3 if it's a Triple, or 5 if it's a Penta. this is honestly arbitrary and could be anything, but it makes sense and easier to follow imo
so say that RNG rolled you a 46, boooo no triple chest. but you have a bonus luck of 100% total, making your ActualLuck be 200% - that means your roll will be modified to be 92 instead- meaning you fail the check for the pentachest, but you won the roll for a triple chest!
if you rolled a 1 and you have 9,900% bonus luck, then with the basee 100% that makes it 10,000% ActualLuck, meaning you will ALWAYS roll 100 or more and ALWAYS get a penta chest
note: this isn't ACTUAL code, it's what's called "pseudo-code" - it's CLOSE to real code but not """real""", but it's close enough - it's a blueprint, it's a brainstorm, or whatever you want to call it. it would need to be modified depending on what language you are ausing (python, C++, C#, whatever) similar to a concept art sketch for a video game character isn't EXACTLY what you'd see in the game itself

Syuuto is a different transliteraltion of Shuuto. I prefer the latter system because it makes pronunctiation easier but the former is more acurate to the actual Japanese spelling.

The 'luck' you got in this run is basically par for course for me. Most 30 minute runs I just get 0 or 1 of the multi-chests. And in fact, in most of the runs where I heavily invest in luck, I get none.

Yea, its currently only available as beta on steam, though the official poncle uploaded a video with a date for the update. Dont remember it, but you can search for their channel, is the newest vid

Dunno if you're talking about this update or the game itself. The game itself is available on Android and iOS just fine. Though this particular update only came recently to PC and Xbox, not sure if it's available on other platforms at this time.

I will never understand how luck affects when it exceeds 100%, I don't like how they implemented this attribute.
100% just means it doubles, 200% it triples etc. Its a bonus so it's on top of the base 100%. I'd say that's quite normal, I dont really see another way to do it
Does each character have a base luck value? If this were the case, the luck value would fluctuate greatly between characters who can obtain more luck than others.@@DexTag
@@gasYotubeThe base value for everything is just 1. Like if you had 0% Might it would mean you deal no damage at all, what you see in the game is just the bonus
@@DexTag I found out a little information on their wiki but I still don't understand how to apply luck in weapons or random factors.
@@gasYotube If it's a 10% chance and you have 100% bonus luck, so 200% total, then its just a 2x multiplier. Like 10%x2=20%. Or 10%x200%=20%, same thing.
If a weapon crits for 25%, you need 300% bonus luck to have a total of 400% luck, so 25%x400%=100%
