OMG! My ISFJ Mom to a tee. She will always be last to feed herself, knows where everything is at home, and double checks everything to the point that she nags and fusses about it. She's a wonderful retired nurse. Now that she's retired, she thrives in a cleaning schedule, being around family, and never admitting she's tired or hungry until everyone is catered to!
I'm about 50/50 on this, I can relate to the first point, not the second point, I'm not a selfish a-hole or anything, but most of the time, I'm not going to over-extend myself for someone, especially when I know they probably wouldn't do the same for me or anyone else When it comes to knowing where stuff is, I'm the best at keeping my stuff together and knowing where it is, and I've gotten so good at keeping track of my stuff, that I will feel like a bit of an unobservant failure if something of mine does go missing
As an INTP who was raised by an ISTJ father, I can totally relate. I credit behaviors I learned from him for being able to avoid many of the pitfalls of Se trickster, at least when it comes to being somewhat organized. I find I don't lose things if everything has it's place and I stick to it to where I feel weird if I don't put things away. This is learned behavior. I too find myself checking and re-checking things frequently, almost compulsively, in a Ti-Si way. I don't always do this but some days I can annoy myself with it. Of the 3, the one I resonate the least is the sense of high obligation to other people. While I do worry about not upsetting others and letting down the people that rely on me, I don't let it become a detriment to my emotional wellbeing. usually.
1 and 3 impress me as INFJ who loves her NiFeTiSe. I would have a better organization of my belongings and prettier handwriting if I had Si. Number 2 is Feeling extroverted at work. That is normal for me too! ISFJ I tip my hat and I wish you stabilizing and fruitful stimuli and precious memories, then be loved, so you simply go on being who you are.
We see the evidence of her words in that amazing blue bookcase back there! As an INTP... same functions, different order ... I relate to these 100%, 70%, and 10% , respectively 🤭
My husband is an ISTJ, and number 3 is so very Si. Lol. He is very structured, and everything has a place; he notices the instant anything moves. Si-leads make a true art out of routine.
As an intj raised by an isfj mom and an istj father, this 3rd thing is really painful for someone with Se inferior. You can never be perfect for them, because they worry so much about their surroundings that every mistake you make is a sin
Interesting, I'm also an intj raised by an istj and I actually love the 3rd point. Is in the list of abilities I would never acquire naturally, but when I see the practice I admire and benefit from it. But I get the feeling, my mom for sure find my organization system just a disguised mess
@@Sound-Eater For sure, she is actually very patient with the parts she doesn't get, but both secondary Te really helps in the part of taking and giving criticism

As an ISFP I relate to two of these things. 'Check, re-check, check again' is my motto, but I thought it was due to Ni paranoia. i also have places for everything in my house and I put things back. I thought it was due to Fi valuing the aesthetics of a clean home, but it could also be from having an ISTJ dad who ingrained the habit in me. Interesting that different functions can have the same outcomes.
OMG! 100% me! #1 #2 #3 I just took the test yesterday and I'm an ISFJ. I almost fell down my chair because the description of the personality is so accurate. In my case anyway. 😊
I know where everything in my house is too. I have a photographic memory where every object or tool was and has been. I freak out when someone moves the objects I stowed away previously to another location. I believe I’m an INFJ or possibly an ISTP with really developed Fe
I was so shocked when I heard no. 1 as not normal. Adults around me always tell me to double check, and while they did mean to double check my answers in exams they never said to not apply it to anything else. 2. I thought it was supposed to be basic human things to do so and if you don't then you're a horrible person and no one wants to be that :D 3. I really am just forgetfull, I think.
There are some things I can relate to even though I identify as an infp. 1. I can relate to checking things more than once only because I get anxious and I begin to imagine things. 😅 2. Sometimes I'll go along with others if it makes sense in my head or to avoid conflict [something I have to work on, I admit]. But the majority of the time I want to go with how I feel about things. A lot of the times there are disagreements over this and it hurts my relationships. 3. I like to give most things a home because I can easily lose something. Sometimes I won't even know it's missing until I go look for it. 😅
She seems way more like an intj or infj. I think isfj are way less.... gloomy? I can't think of a better word. I guess Melancholy Maybe? She just got the sort of... sleepy vibe to her. I think isfj are often quiet. And industrious. But I think they have a strong sense of appearance. And I think that's what makes them s. They're more sensory. So they want to appear like the perfect Stepford housewife. Whereas she's kind of not really concerned about that sort of thing. I think NF is way more common among Millennials.
I think I'm an ISFP, but JUST TODAY I realized that my excessive double checking holds me back in every movement I make at work; it's the hesitation before every action. I have to repeat the order back to the customer however simple, quickly double sweep/wipe every surface, double and triple-check every order before proceeding with the next step, edit my messages after deliberately writing them out the first time etc.. I think I have stronger Si than I initially realized. I've never really sensed any Se in myself. I may just be an INFP jumper. I also relate to the second point a lot. Something that's bugged me about my type (isfp) is being called a "flake," but I'm dutiful and never like to back out of plans however much I always want to lol.
Unfortunately I have a coworker like this . She is training me , she gets stressed over thinks over analyzes with the double checking . It can really be stressful because it comes of as the need to be a perfectionist. Ugg
I double check alot even as an ESTP because I'm a perfectionist and 3L (in AP) but I don't relate as much to the other things. Sometimes I do too much for others but my normalcy is just doing whatever the hell I want

HM. At what point do we tease out coping strategies from personality traits? Where is the direct link between people-pleasing and personality type? Ditto for OCD tendencies. Not judging, I relate to people-pleasing but recognize the trauma source. I heal it. I don't identify with it.

Same! I actually have to physically sit my mom down and say STOP IT. YOU WILL EAT. I AM NOT EATING UNTIL YOU DO 😆
Damn i love ISFJs. Reliability and dependability is sexy AF. Keep keeping it classy.
Is this an ESTP knocking?

I'm an INFJ and I double check everything. Another among a huge list of similarities between our types.

ISTJ here. I relate very much to all of 1 and 3, though not so much to 2 as one might expect.
