I want to see an addition to the team editor. I want to be able to pick some colors for the fans to where they don't always where exactly what the players are wearing
I would like to see individualized season stats to see how each player has done in previous seasons instead of just the current one as well as seeing what award they had won that year
That would be really awesome! I’m a big fan of stats as well, this would really add more depth to the game
stats would be nice but I'm pretty sure NSG employees have said that it takes up way too much storage

A great alternative is Hoop League Tactics, it’s customizable and I think it’s really fun. I would try it if I were you. Definitely was hoping for a Retro Basketball or whatever it would be called though.

They should add some touchdown celebrations. Like The griddy,backflip,team dance.

I hope to see a maybe motioning people over. Maybe a jet Sweep or a Jet Touch Pass. I mean maybe for motion you could just tap the player you want to motion and drag to where you wnat them. And for the jet sweep. You could tap the WR and he will motion over hand it will snap and the QB will hand it off or toss it to him. It would be pretty cool. But I dont see it happening..
(We want Retro Bowl to be Madden so bad..)

Congrats on OG commenter status. Anyhow, I feel like what you mentioned is the one thing I would like to see too. I would love to be able to run motions or maybe even an option play.
Honestly if you got 2 QBS or 2 RBS or 3 WRS you should be able to sub them into the game (idea that deals with my QB mode series)
Defense: I think that you will be able to set schemes that support your team best. I have always been against defense mode for the sake of simplicity of the game.
QB Mode: I think there are some issues into implementing this mode or else they would do it, such as how does an AI manage a franchise? You're the QB, and not the GM. For any chance of a QB mode, there probably needs to be some roster management AI.
As a future update, I would love to see an AI draft for me. It would make you feel more like a HC than a GM.
Roster slots/Trades/Other team stats: Along with playable defense, I feel like this strays away from the simplicity of the game (along with too much data of course). I love this game because it is so simple.
Things not mentioned I would like:
Retirement: What if you could retire and your coach could show up in the Retro Bowl Record section on every save? I think it could be cool to compare all of your coaches together. I delete saves all the time and have to store them in a notepad.
More random name possibilities: RB names are generated from choosing a random NFL player's first name and a random NFL player's last name (7 characters or less). I would love for there to be more possibilities for name though, perhaps add all college football names to the pool. I would also like to have first names longer than 8 letters since it does not affect the player card but I am guessing that is some programming limit thing.
Some offensive player schemes?: I saw a post on reddit about how the reason OL players do not stop your QB from being sacked is because the first 3 star OL on your team will be run blockers. I think that choosing whether an OL is a run or pass blocker may actually make them more useful. People run 2 TE because it's an extra pass blocker.
I would also love to be able to run 3 WR or 2 RB in a game than the regular 1RB 2WR 2TE that exists.
I think this game is almost perfect as it is right now. It is a very simple game that anyone can pick up and play and learn.

Oline need to be buffed
I'd either like a game in progress indication of injuries and/or the ability to substitute players during the game, whether it's for injuries or during blowouts

Be nice to get the ability to save a highlight play and have a highlight reel for each season.
no I think QB mode is very possible, since those tweets were from a month ago and QB mode started blowing up just this month... i still think it most likely wont be added but seeing how well the QB mode videos are doing the devs might implement something similar

Suggestions for Retro Bowl.
Multiplayer
Trading Player for Player
Bigger field view, longer throwing mechanics instead of only being able to throw 20-30 yrds
QB Mode
Defense, be able to touch any of the 11 defensive players and able to control them for the play.
Visual Playbooks, maybe being able to create your own play designs? Or at least be able to pick and choose.
Better rushing mechanics, instead of all run plays being pitches, maybe add a direct handoff animation or something you can do at the goal line.
In extreme mode, the DBS are 20x faster than your WR, decrease the speed of dbs so theres still potential for big plays.
A catching animation, instead of just having the receiver run under the ball and it gets teleported to him, making their arms go up or something along those lines.
Add NCAA teams. Maybe make a different game dedicated to them, but all NCAA FBS schools should have a team, college rules, and 4 team playoff.
I can’t wait of the future of retro bowl holds! Btw how do you make your videos? How do you make logos for each team?
My friend designed pixel logos for each team, so I use those!

They should make a playbook, so you can choose what play you want to run instead of having to waste your audibles, but you can still use your audibles but it will change the route you choose to what ever route you want, so a streak, a comeback, a in, an out etc

They should make it so you can control the defense on switch since you can turn and control the player more on switch. So they should make it maybe a switch exclusive
I very much would like a playable pro bowl
Only thing I want is when your QB scrambles put the pocket you’d be able to stop and throw
I loved playing this, only complaint I ever had is that sometimes my defense would allow touchdowns every drive, other than that I’m glad to see retro bowl get a sequel.

I would like to see different formations like instead of having 2 wr 2 te 1 rb you can have 3 wr 1 te 1 rb or 2 wr 1 te 2 rb
They also should add commentary and cuts from the sports broadcaster

I think they should add a suspension system so the players who get caught by the police they would get suspended and also where you could call like tripes or empty so there are all then tight end wrs and the rb on one side or that the rb is acting like a receiver
The one thing I kinda want is the ability to view the AFC and NFC Championship games history. I'm 20+ years into my RB career (Switch version) and I kinda wanna go back and look to see what teams could've made the SB.

The qb mode was in the poki version though, and it was quite fun

I would like a full like offense defense and special teams roster instead of just 12 players from any of them. I think a playbook from like the pre 3D maddens would be cool.

I’d like for there to be an option on the pause menu to be able to sim a game the rest of the way if you’re either ahead by a ton or getting blown out to get rolling on to the next opponent. Forgive me if there is a way to do that now, I haven’t seen.

It’d be cool if on defense you could control a lineman/a blitz only linebacker so you could have some kind of defense playability
If u use a controller on retro bowl u can move anywhere so defense is possible
What I really want is the ability to scramble as a qb behind the LOS but still throw
Id like to see 7 on 7 or like 5 on 5 just to play a smaller matchup and just seeing flag would be cool
What would be nice to have as a defensive part of the game would be interception and fumble returns

Idk if enough people would want it but if they do an exhibition mode I’d love to see a local multiplayer feature where you would take turns as either teams offense and then just hand your phone or whatever back and forth. Maybe that’s too dated but I think it’s be electric and probably not too much more complex to code

How about if u want to play ncaaf league and better customization for customize teams or even being able to add your own logo for a custom team or custom scoreboards instead of basic ones

I would love to see real rosters added to the game along with penalties and challenges, and you should be able to watch the ai play when simming, like in madden.
I’ve been wanting this small thing forever, just let us add expansion teams instead of having to replace other teams. Make the max amount of teams 40 or something and thatd be really cool.

An online multi-player would be amazing. So would a mode where you just play 1 game not a franchise.

I literally just found out that if you pull back slightly on the screen with a runner scoring at the one yard line, the player will pause and showboat before going in. Anybody else have any cool tricks for the game?

Yes but if they added punts it would be neat to have the ability to choose 2 different returners (Player with better stamina for kickoffs, player with better speed for punts)

I would like to see the 3 preseason games in Retro Bowl, I feel like is important the league as you will be able to see how good your team will be. But most likely it won’t happen.
I think 3 would be too much, but I’d be open to an optional 1 preseason game!

Another Sim game option is we could do you know say you’re in the third quarter and you’re up 42 to 7 and there’s really no point in the rest of the game and you don’t wanna run a couple useless knee plays cause that’s just extremely boring then what you can just do is click Sim and game over

I would like be paid in coaching credits as a coach like a real contract instead of getting two after winning 47-17 in a game that would cost me the playoffs and my qb is hurt in the finals seconds
