Pregnancy is an exciting time for new mums to be, and their families. The feeling of excitement grows along with the baby; 40 weeks can feel like an incredibly long time to wait to meet your little miracle.
The best news is, you don’t need to wait that long. The Original Window to the Womb Nottingham & Sheffield, offer families a chance to peep at their baby’s face from as early as 24 weeks with a 4D HD-Live scan and 2D gender scans.
The Original WTTW is family run and we all absolutely love what we do and our enthusiastic team really helps to make each visit a special experience for expectant mums and their families. The Original Window to the Womb was first opened in Nottingham in 2003 by the Bowbanks family. Trev and Glenda, working from their house in Wollaton. They were joined by their eldest daughter Julie, son Terry, and finally by the baby of the family Robyn. Moving to new larger premises on Derby Rd, Bramcote in 2011.
All Sonographers at The Original Window to the Womb are specialists in 4D HD-Live, fully trained, insured and registered with HCPC (health Care Professions Council). Reception, customer service and print room are Trev, Terry and Robyn’s domain, Julie and Glenda enhance the team of sonographers as ‘scan buddies’ to ensure that from the minute you walk in, you enter a relaxed, family friendly environment.
There are a wide variety of packages to choose from, we work incredibly hard to make each visit as special and magical as possible.
The Original Window to the Womb do not offer diagnostic scans but each package starts with a 2D wellbeing scan to check babies position, the placenta and the heartbeat.
Gender scans from 16 weeks, 4D scan packages from 24 weeks.
We have seating for up to six people in addition to mum which means the whole family can share this incredible experience.

1. Gender Scans. £59, from 16wk. 2D wellbeing scan, then a free 4D peep at your baby, 4x 2D/3D pictures and a Cd of all your images.
2. Picture Box. £99. 2D wellbeing scan, 4D scan, with 4x 2D/3D pictures of your choice, 2x key-rings with pictures. Cd of all the images.
3. Born to be a Star. £109. 2D wellbeing scan, 4D scan with 4x 2D/3D pictures of your choice,, Cd of all the images, DVD of the 4D scan.
4. Very Important Baby £130. 2D wellbeing scan, 4D scan, 8x 2D/3D pictures of your choice, Cd of all the images, DVD of the 4D scan, and 2x keyrings - £130
Heart beat bears. £20- a soft teddy bear with a recording of baby’s heart beat inside. These are fantastic keepsakes and are really popular.
