Kinda brings a tear to my eye thinking that we began our journey as guardians, killed a god, Killed the taken king and his son, won the red war, avenged Cayde, saved the city again and we’ll finally wield the darkness. All of this across the span of 6 years.
Downplaying Oryx much? He basically was a god, granted it didn’t help him much in the end. And I wouldn’t call the Traveler and Darkness gods per se, more abstract concepts capable of creating paracausal entities, IE Guardians and Dark Guardians, who are basically gods unto themselves.
He explained the entire story line better than they did for all of the first Destiny

Most of the big names in the company parted a couple months before the vanilla release, they had to restart almost from scartch, with parts of original characters and cinematics. The 3 years were not really better than Vanilla Destiny thats for sure, but the let down was not entirely their fault at the beginning.

Already better then the first destiny campaign
Actually the first one had a story, they just didn't want to talk about it...
What campaign? Ohhh you mean the one activision scrapped entirely and patched together hardly related little side missions, that campaign? Well i hate to be the bearer of bad news but activision is basically forcing this game to release this year. They cannot delay it because if they do bungie will essentially lose over half of its stock to activision and well bye bye bungie and hello activision destiny cod 8.
The only thing I still like about the campaign is the fact that the Player Character actually spoke during it (a handful of lines but I'll take what I can get). Oh, and the Exo Stranger (they seriously need to explain her story or at least GIVE her a story to begin with), because I ship her with my Exo Titan. These are the only relatively noteworthy things I can think of regarding the vanilla campaign.
