I'm from Germany and I love Stollen. It is really typical and classic for winter and christmas. And also the only time you can buy it in the stores. I didn't know it comes from Swiss. In Germany, from the city Dresden, the Stollen is really popular and called "the original christmas Stollen".
Same here in the Netherlands! Plus with some butter on it is soo delicious!

Biber is German for beaver! Appenzeller biber is a type of gingerbread from the appenzellerland area of Switzerland. And bretzel is German/french for pretzel! Though I cracked up when someone (I think Mia?) said it was a combo of bread and pretzel!
PS- you all should really visit Germany! Contrary to popular belief, vegetarianism and veganism is very popular in Germany and there are loads and loads of amazing options available, all over the country, but especially in the big cities.
PPS- you NEED to try the dark chocolate Caotina (Caotina Noir)… it’s also vegan and it’s INCREDIBLE.
