    I loved Farnham in LRB - he blew the songs out of the water! I especially love him on the album, ‘No Reins’ - check it out guys, John’s voice will give you goosebumps! 👍

    I thought that interview was not good poor John really didn’t have a chance to say a lot! The remark from the LRB band members was tongue in cheek who would of ever imagined that four years later John Farnham emerged with a hot new look with new songs two guns blazing knocking it out of the ball park “ Whispering Jack!” ❤️

    According to Wikipedia The Net came out in May 1983, so this interview must be 1982.

    Shorrock was good, but Farnham was incredible! Amazing range and expression, so glad I got to see LRB in 1985 with John singing. They made their best albums with him, especially "The Net".

    • @ronfowlermusic
      @ronfowlermusic Před 2 lety +1

      @@beautyking6161 is that why each of them left the band? Birtles after the 1983 tour, Goble after the "Get Lucky" album, and Shorrock - on his second stint with the band - in 1996? It was Goble who pushed to get Farnham into the band in 1982; he was writing songs for that voice, and for Wayne Nelson's voice.

    My opinion; from the 1980's on Glenn Wheatley mismanaged the band
    Yes, John Farnham was a great addition in Glenn Shorrock's absents for reasons I have never understood but Wheatley never was able to reunite Shorrock back into the band. Then once Farnham departed LRB the attitude from the band was "Oh that other guy"
