Our Axial SCX10III gets a HobbyWing Fusion upgrade!! We run it up against our tried and true HobbyWing 1080 Axial 55t brushed motor combo. Unlike the torture test we wanted to compare the Fusion's ability to crawl in a controlled manner. It has far superior control vs or usual brushed set up.
We have our conclusion video coming up soon be sure to subscribe!!

It is interesting. I do wonder if some of your dislikes about the brushed setup are due to the setup of the 1080.
Increasing the pwm has made throttle inputs smoother. Downhill speed is setup with the drag brake, etc.
Fix these setup items, plus run something like a 21T 550 and I wonder how much more you would like it.

@@RoadsideRC Issue is mostly the need to hit the throttle harder to over come an obstacle. By the time you let up off it your already halfway up or down, drag brake is set fine. Once you clear the need for more throttle it's too much for the next part of the line. If that makes sense. You can only make throttle adjustments so fast.
Throttle matching eliminates that need for constant adjustments. I crawl one handed 99% of the time because I have the camera in my other hand. So, I'm not always on point with the throttle control...
My opinion is def bias towards the smoothness of the Fusion, especially for capturing smooth great looking footage. Others may dislike it, just like I think the Fusion makes crawling boring with two hands. But the real question is, is it worth the extra money? 🤔
