not fully true, as the bow bells could be heard as far souf as camberwell green. there is in effect no such thing anymore. i never remember us as kids mentioning that we were cockneys. i was born 1971.

@@horseon4730 yeah we were an isle of dogs team largely made up of Scottish cannery workers hence the name Canning Town over that side . I was treated nicely on a visit to Leeds many years ago by some colourful characters in a pub near York's tv studios as I recall .All the best
