The reason counter strike does it was because the creator was left handed so he made all the guns left handed, even though most of them were used right handed.
They only do it to show animations which I agree pulls me out of it knowing better, but for 99 percent of people who pick up a game they don't know the difference

The MW gun is an AK-47. Edit: so are the ones in Line of Sight, CS 1.6, CSS, Stalin's Subway and possibly more. I didn't pay that much attention. Also, Far Cry 3 and 4's "AK-47" was actually directly modelled after ICS AK-74. Literarally the least replica accurate AK you can get for airsoft.
personally i love bf2042's sound design, it's not until you listen to the sounds in just a proper showcase that you realise the details and effort that was put in.
