"A top member of the House Freedom Caucus has confirmed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) was ousted from the group in a vote that took place last month.
Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) confirmed previous reportsfrom Politico in an interview with the site published Thursday, where he said, “A vote was taken to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from the House Freedom Caucus for some of the things she’s done.”"

Maybe MTG isn't as lunatic as she seems to be! I always suspected that she was playing a character attractive to the people in her district, but I think she knew from the start that this spiel couldn't run indefinitely. Today, MTG is practically unassailable in Georgia 14th: if she has further ambitions, she needs to make a moderate turn. The dispute with Boebert and the expulsion from the Freedom Caucus put her in pole position for the next senatorial elections in Georgia because these 2 things give her the patina of moderation credible enough to conquer that fringe of moderate Republicans who made Kemp win as governor while they voted down Hershell Walker in the Senatorials.
Given how Greene has been acting since she was elected, I have a hard time believing she was kicked out for that.

So, MTG is finally beginning to get a clue about how politics work. It's not all about screaming. It's about working with people, even compromising at times. Look at the budget bill and how the Freedom Caucus decided to "hold the floor" by voting with Democrats to keep their fellow Republicans from achieving anything. These people achieve absolutely nothing. Nothing. But MTG is working more with McCarthy, which actually could make her even more dangerous in the long run. MTG achieved nothing her first term and maybe she wants to change that.
They're playing different roles for the same ends so don't get too excited.
