I agree. I've been a touring singer / musician all my life and that's how I make my money. I can't imagine having that much pain to sing. Even on bad nights it scares me hoping I didn't screw anything up with my vocals. We all have great days and off days singing wise and every off day I get freaked out thinking "omg I hope i'm not losing my voice" because I've been known to be a REALLY high singer. I sing high notes like bon jovi does and years of that can screw your voice up but thankfully I've always done it the right way so my voice is still intact. Once a year i'll see a throat doctor and they'll put a scope down my throat just to see if I have anything going on. I always check out good so i'm thankful but as singers, we can lose it like that.
I breaks my heart! For Brian's voice, because WE ALL (real fans know) we love OUR BSB!! And the fact that the entire group is still alive and Brian is there is AMAZING!! BSB wouldn't be the same without them ALL!! Just like when kevin wasn't there!! We LOVE our Boys!!
bsb littrellsgrl they should give him mainly high parts, he just struggles with the low tones. On DNA he has a lot of low parts, he should sing variants of the verses in a different key or in an octave higher and be the addliber. He still sounds the same when he belts.

It's the older songs that give him some trouble, and there's not much he can do about that since those are the songs people still want to hear. It would be nice if they could change it up to fit his voice now, but I'm no singer, and I don't know how they could do that. Yes, he sounds really good when he sings the high parts or does the adlibs. Once he gets past that first line in I Want It That Way, he does fine, but everyone knows that's his part, he just can't skip it, and people want them to do that song . Brian is an absolute trooper, not kidding he’s a hero to me as someone who struggles with their voice when just talking. But I think they should reorganise the way they perform old music and even some of the new music. He’s still got a massive higher range to use, he harmonises well and his falsetto is still there. As a song progresses he can hit some of the lower ranges and becomes more able the more he performs so there is absolutely still a place for him in the Backstreet Boys. All they need is a redistribution like I said to make it work, because what if his voice never repairs beyond this? They need a temporary solution that could potentially be permanent. He can still do solos and he absolutely rocks the harmonies and the power bits over the chorus. There are options, although it’s sad to have to do that because his voice when it works is amazing, it just doesn’t always work. They’re still my number 1 band and even if Brian sang all the parts solo I’d still watch because I’m proud of him and how hard he’s worked to get here, he deserves credit for that alone.

But, the old songs are so ingrained in fans minds that Brian has to sing his original parts. He could go higher then the other guys probably couldn't do it. I've watched tons of Vegas videos, and he seems so much better in 2018 on most of the songs. He may never get any better than this, but they could be rearranging some songs to fit his voice better now. Yes, play to his strengths. I think they did that for the most part on DNA. I feel like they could still sing some of the old songs if they changed the arrangement/key/etc. It makes me so sad to see him struggle bc I can only imagine how much he goes through behind the scenes we don’t see. In the documentary you could tell how eaten up about it he was and that was filmed 7 or 8 years ago now. There’s so much pressure on him and anybody would crack, let alone somebody with a vocal condition. I feel like AJ could be loud when he wanted be he could be soft when he wanted. AJ relies too much on being loud right now. Like he has a great range I just think he isn’t treating his voice right (as far as I know he smokes) or training correctly. Brian and AJ are my #1 and #2 singers for BSB so it sucks seeing them struggle and not be at their best anymore :/

AJ said in an interview that he and Brian have gotten really close since Brian disclosed his condition. I think all the guys try to protect and support Brian. Yeah, I'm a little concerned about the tour too, but I don't think they would book it the way they have if they didn't think he could do it. I do wonder how AJ can still sing though with all the shouting he sometimes does, but it's still working for him.

They sang a part of No Place accapella on the Elvis Duran radio show today. They sounded great. It's up on you tube. Funny how just sitting in front of some mics in a radio studio they can sound so awesome. Brian's voice is just different now. People need to get over it. He seems to have moved on and is happy with where things are heading. Yeah, his higher voice is killer, but the middle still struggles. That first line in I Want It That Way is difficult, but after that, he moves up a step and can clearly sing in the higher range.
