Size doesn't matter, as long as you have 3 or more instruments of the same section then you can play cords. Miles got the W for me. Kentucky sounds really bad.
as someone who plays the tuba in the marching band (the sousaphone, obviously), in my opinion miles won. not because they had more people, but because miles was more in sync and together with their parts. and miles was actually ready. i don't know what kentucky state was doing, but it was clear that they weren't ready nor were they together or in sync. miles won, without a doubt.

Both bands sound like second rate junior high school musicians blasting notes to distortion. Not one clear tone from either band. Loud does not equate to good. What do I know about Sousaphone? I was so good that a Catholic High School that did not have music scholarships INVENTED one just for me and gave me a 100% scholarship topped off with a 50% scholarship for my brother just to get me in their band. I know what I'm talking about.
But did you march in college? Every kid that's "best in their high school band" gets a rude awakening when they join a college band. I went from being the kid my HS director bragged about, John Philip Sousa Award recipient, to being an alternate most of the year. It's always the cocky ones that get cut.
