It's like the same people who say this is the first time they got caught stealing... as if it makes it any better... like let's avoid THIS competition and talk about everything else and avoid what happened in the here and NOW!!! Let's make excuses. Instead of talking about how she was NOT able to deal with the pressure of a World Championships. I mean why don't you bring up her junior career too?! Why stop at the 'LAST' 24 routines?! Let's talk about how GREAT she was as a level 10 gymnast too! AS if THAT has ANYthing to do with reality in THIS event. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... She FAILED. Was a total MESS here and did NOT deliver. PERIOD. That's what MOST of us saw. Go enjoy her LAST 24 performances all you want.. This one sucked ass and was weak AF. Disaster.
She got a 13.366 in qualifications! She is known for her consistent and solid beam routines....we all have a bad day. Sadly, it was here at the World Team final.
This demoralized her. Hate it for her so much. She’s such a strong gymnast. Wish she had another opportunity to compete this week to cleanse her palette 🥺
Still my fav gymnast. ❤ She literally had to change her mindset last minute due to Joselyn's injury. She was on planning on adding 2 extra routines that day.
i am mixed. this is a bad beam. But on a grand scheme of things, this is 1 fall of 3 consecutive world performances, so it is at this point not a pattern for her, but more a 1 time deal in terms of international big meet consistency.
And to be very fair, even Simone said the whole team was jarred after Joscelyn's (VERY last-minute) injury. Leanne got put up on VT & FX despite not even being able to warm-up other than the quick one-touch warm ups. She wasn't warmed up in the BTS gym. So, for all that, to still hit on VT & FX in Joscelyn's place is remarkable.
If anything thats worse because its a harder to predict error. Literally part of being on the team is being able to hit on a moment's notice, especially in a more predicted way. Leanne falling on beam may be worse bc it was not a predictable error given she was going always going on beam. It puts into question her reliability comes paris@@blakegillpuente3904
And she gets back up like nothing happened, this is amazing, a fall like this must have been painful and such a bummer to start the routine this way. So happy that the team got the gold.
@@Wonderland. just because she fell the other day doesn’t mean she will every time. Her beam routine is beautiful and she can hit when she is confident in her training. She actually had a higher score than this with her fall and bad landing.
I think pulling Skye despite Leanne’s mistake was still the right move. Skye is obviously dealing with a mental block, and needs a sports psychologist badly. Skye repeatedly blows it under pressure. They pull her so it doesn’t further damper her mental health. Leanne usually shows up. 23/24 this season. She is known for thriving under pressure (ie her vault in TF). This was just an uncharacteristic performance for her.
That looked painful . I think how she got back up there and slayed , is why there are people out there that think.. oh gymnastics isnt that hard..lol. She was stoic and acted like a walk in the park. But a regular person would be crying for their mom and in bed for the rest of the day !😂 These little ladies are some of the toughest athletes on the planet !Dont let the sparkles and hair ribbons fool you 🙃😉
Simone Biles **LED the US Team to get the gold. Of course she is the GREATEST of all time, but she is only 1 score out of 3 on each event. Shilese Jones put up the highest score on Uneven Bars and gave us solid scores on BB and FX. Leanne Wong stepped up to cover for Joscelyn on VT & FX after she got injured. Skye put up a beautiful UB routine, too, with great execution- the 3rd highest of ALL uneven bar routines in the Team Final (only outdone by Shi and Simone). This whole TEAM was brilliant, even if they weren't at their very best today. Pls don't take that away from them.
@@punchingkwan3052You can say that about literal every country. Without Rebeca would Brazil be attempting for a medal? Without Melanie would France be attempting for a medal?
Leanne is still a good option and did very well despite having to compete on all events at the last minute. Ine fluke doesn't make you a bad option. Anyone can fall. Goodness. Even Suni fell on beam at Nationals.
@@Bxyxox Leanne botched her dismount as well and had checks throughout ... Team USA will never use SKye. Almost fell in qualifications in 2022, fell in team final, fell in event final, 2023, fell twice in qualifications. Gurl bye! Skye isnt reliable on BEAM.
I said this before the competition and will say this again the coaches that were with her at the past few worlds are not on the floor with her. Her coach from college is. A mistake in my opinion. The coaches who trained her and know her for decades needed to be there in my opinion
Idk..I think Leanne looks great and she actually seems to smile more these days. They said that her old coach constructed her floor routine so she probably still has some sort of relationship with them. She has to do what is best for her.
@@jorgebonilla2234 It is not that. She is staying training at Florida so she can stay in school. She wants to go to med school after college, and does not want to delay.
It always amazes me how these women take a spill and get right back up to finish the job. Respect.
Wow that looked like a really painful one. She did recover so well and I hope she's proud of her accomplishments
Leanne has hit 24 out of her past 25 routines! Talk about consistency! This fall looked painful and she recovered SO well. 💪⭐️

team finals is the only one isnt it
If Jos is out of Vault final, it makes Leanne currently first reserve. Hope no other injuries occur though.
@@goodyougetastar I believe it’s Ellie Black from 🇨🇦 that’s in on vault final now.

The way Leanne re-grouped was nothing short of of breathtaking. Very strong mentality! Grace under pressure! Respect!
Good job Leanne! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
People not talking about the huge save on the dismount 😮
Looked like a fluke fall from the slow motion. She was in line and everything, her foot just seemed to slip out

Skye's beam is so pretty and powerful, but she fell the other day if I'm not mistaken? It's really unfortunate.

Did she upgrade to a triple full dismount?
No her foot was off on the round off and she did a double instead of a 2 1/2
Ahh thank you. I was super confused. Because she hasn’t completed one since 2021 olympics trials
I mean she almost could have done a sideways loop and swung back around on top of the beam 😂
She looks so sad after beam in the Peacock stream. 😢
