I just came from that one.....literally. Now I'm back for another go-round.
I used to sing "I'm blue, I will bleed, I will die" and this version makes me think I was right.

If you were to cover a darker version of it, alone, no girls voice, that would be awesome. Her voice is powerful and pretty but this pop goth sound, I don´t particularly like. Your low tones are sick and Joe always makes the best arrangements, so a real gothic version of Ain´t no sunshine, just Melodicka Bros this time... chef´s kiss. Mamma mia!

That's rather strange. People who are colorblind, normally 've got a problem with GREEN and/or RED. I've never heard of a colorblindness on BLUE. You're probably one of a kind then.

The authors of this song (Eiffel 65) stated that is not a song about depression. In italian "I'm Blue" (Io sono blu) doesn't have that meaning, honestly doesn't mean nothing lol 😂

Floor Jansen is a vocal goddess. And while violet is Very good, she has a long way to go before she reaches that level. Nonetheless a wonderful rendition of this song!
@@nieks.7326 I like how there are different opinions on female vocals. My vote would be for Simone Simons, though there are many less known bands with very talented singers. For example Russian band Arkona has no male vocals, their singer Masha can sing both clean vocals, growls, screams, just anything, given enough vodka :)

This intro sounds SO MUCH like the first albums from Nightwish! I got this nostalgic feeling of remembering someone who is long dead and you will never meet again..
Violets way of singing on the second part of the verse really reminded me of Floor Jansen era of Nightwish and the song gives me a big Nightwish vibe all around! Very cool

I love that you even included that signature "growl" (at 3:32 and 3:41) that a lot of those Gothic Metal songs have. "I'm blue" never sounded more badass. ❤🔥
That flawless vocal fry Violet pulls off toward the end has me weak. Mad respect for a woman who can do a good vocal fry and *still* sound pretty (it's not easy to do that without hurting your throat and making your voice sound raw and crack if you try to sing normally after so it definitely takes some skill or guts at the very least). She was always a good singer but it feels like she has been only phenomenally improving.
Now if only she could do more than an Amy Lee impression
