    Man that rear dif looks outstanding and you sealed it I think you should had put on your drive shaft to tighten up the pinion gear but I don't really know how tight those pinion bearings are so I shut my mouth No it looks great and solid sweet job can't wait to see more

      Honestly these things are just big toys, anything you would use to grease a real car will work just fine, nothing expensive, what I have always used came from the auto motive section at Walmart

    I hate when I have a full tube of rtv and get that hole on the side lol ...a toothpick is a good applicator to use on that small surface area ...got a locker coming for my center ...went 500k rear probably 200k front. ..

      Diy type of guy man that sounds awesome! It's going to make a big difference! The MTXL Is getting 1 million in the rear, 500 in the front and the locker in the center. RTV LOL gonna buy the small tube next time!

    After 9 months, what is your take on the locker now? I'm about to pull the trigger on two, like you said, for center and rear cuz I like to do donuts too! Sorry if you answered this question on another video. I'm still working my way through your uploads. You are the best source of info for gas newbies w/DBXL I find. Thanks!

    • @ddteamrc6461

  • @jasonmount76
    @jasonmount76 Před 6 lety

    What were the results of putting lockers in all 3 diffs? Obviously more power to the ground, but how did it effect handling, and how is it holding up? I'm considering this locker upgrade in my DBXL with Team Hoonage main drive shafts. Thanks for any info!

    • @ddteamrc6461
      @ddteamrc6461  Před 6 lety +2

      Jason Mount we only did center and rear diffs on the dbxl, not the front. They are a little stronger, one of the main reason I did the rear was because kayla likes to do donuts and the rear should kick out easier for her .

    • @ddteamrc6461
      @ddteamrc6461  Před 6 lety +1

      Jason Mount but we're not sure what the results are yet, it is still on the bench, its is getting a high RPM GIZMO engine

      Hi Buddy, Great question. I bought The AREA RC parts about a year and half ago Before the Company decided that they didn't want to make those awesome parts any more, As far as I know the company is out of Business ,HOWEVER There is some good news, FID does make some of those parts , the rest is only for the DBXL. most will fit, but some will not. The Best Thing You Can Do Is email FID Like Crazy!!! And Tell Them That We Need Them to Continue Producing Great Quality Parts for The MTXL as some of the DBXL parts wont fit. Thanks For Supporting our Channel!!

    Any issues with the bearings? I did the vertigo locker in center, stock front and rear diffs. Changed all the bearings to team fast eddy. Just installed my OBR full mod reed g320. Got about 5 minutes run time and ended up melting 2 of the bearings in the rear diff. Like the only thing left was 2 little metal rings. Not sure if this is just my luck or what

    • @ddteamrc6461
      @ddteamrc6461  Před 6 lety +1

      P T I haven't had issues with the fast Eddie bearings, but check this out, be sure that when pressing the bearing in, you only put pressure on the race which is the source of the residence, "meaning. If the bearing is installing on the inside press Only the inside race, if the bearing is installed on the outer race Only press the outside race. If pressure is applied to the opposite, the bearing has already become Junk hope this helps?
