Gotta watch sabaton vids all the way through. They like to sneak stuff in the last little bit sometimes.
Definetly reccomend hearing a song in their native Swedish language. "En Livstid I Krig - live in Gothenburg" is an experience. Subtitles are good for getting the general meaning behind the song.

Sabaton is a Swedish band with a loooong list of history based music.
Sabaton also has an award winning history channel that gives background to over 120 if their songs (not music award, academic, aimed at education of the public) .
Sabaton videos are often have dedications and/or messages at the end, perhaps not always but... watching to the very end is frequently well worth it.

You should watch the Sabaton History channel as it is the background to their songs (you can check it yourself and make a little comment after the song is finished) (they play parts of the song during the video so do it after you listen to the song and the songs is the whole video as it is usually a tribute to the soldiers who died)
Bismarck was really a beast. It takes almost one day for whole british army to destroy only one battleship .The Bismarck

I really like Sabatons "Soldiers of heaven" but when it comes to Sabaton it gets hard to choose I do like their history channel too (but a bit to long videos for a reaction perhaps) ..their "Seven pillars of wisdom " official music video is also cool (and if you know that the band actually crached in their car on their way back and was pretty brused up ( broken ribs, brused fingers and injured legs and so on ) to the point that hey had do cancel a gig ..then its gets even more intriguing.
..suggestion for other artist ..easy ..in this video the guitarist that had the solo just recently quit the band (amicably) to persue his own band and career ..why not take a look at him (does a lot of covers on YT under the name Tommy Johansson ..you just choose something that speaks to you ..they are all good ..just a matter of taste ) ...his band is named "Majestica" ( previously known as "ReinXeed" ) ..the song "Above the sky" is usually a good introduction to this band unless its christmas then I would highly suggestion their "A Christmas Carol" album
never end 1 of there video's till the very end, also with the 80th anniversary of D-Day june 6th coming up. in honor of that you should do their song "Primo Victoria" which is about that event. ALSO they have there very own "Sabaton History Channel" were they give you the history of the event they are singing about. a must watch if you want to fully understand what your listening too

I love the connection you did between this guitar solo, and Avenged Sevenfold. Sabaton and A7X are my two favorite metal bands.
Many of their official videos are close captioned, look out for that in the future
As a side note here, the name they gave the boat at 2:43 is taken from an older song by the band, from the older setup of the band.

For all the shipt state of the art tech. It took Swordfish torpedo ( WW1 type planes in the video) planes to damage him enough to tracked down and sunk.

If anything, Sabato would have been idols of Avenged Sevenfold. They have been around for a bit.
Well, as both band were formed in 1999, I'd say neither.
They probably get their inspiration from similar sources.
Check out Fields of Verdun.
Hardly no one ever reccomends this one. This was one of the first song I heard by them and what got me into Sabaton.
Personally if you want to hear a song never watch the live performance its never the same as listening to the proper version.
If you are going to react to Sabaton, you should really talk about the subject of their songs.
