This crew only get better and better with age, like fine wine. I got right in to them back in '91 with the release of Schubert Dip over here in New Zealand. In 1990 when I was 26 I had had my near-death motorcycle and as a result lost my entire left leg including hip and left side of my pelvis, plus I suffered numerous other internal injuries. Was more than fortunate to survive. Spent 101 days in hospital. Do you know I first heard this song in a scarfies (Kiwi term for a university student) pub in Dunedin on the juke box. I fell in love with it instantly. So I went out and bought the album on cassette tape. Not one bad song on it. Even listening to this sends shivers up my spine again. EMF were/are ahead of their time make no error. A smart act. So much energy. Even now at 56 I am still rockin hard to this. LOVE IT! I've always enjoyed my Brit bands over here in New Zealand. I first got in to Joy Division in the '80s. I only liked a wee bit of New Order - their 17 minute version of 'Elegia' off Low Life to me is priceless. I think it's here on CZcams so check it out it is worth its weight in gold. But back to EMF - my favorite song from Schubert Dip is...well I guess it has to 'Children'. 'I Believe' is another gold nugget. I would like to wish the band all the very very best as they continue their career playing and making music. I would like to thank EMF for allowing me to appreciate listening to their music - it will always be therapeutic for me as it was a time in my life that changed me forever ('90 -'91).
