Barnstaple District Model Railway Club Model Railway Exhibition On Saturday 27th July 2024

This was my first experience of a Barnstaple Model Railway Exhibition and it was all good. It did take me over three hours to get to the show from Templecombe by train but it was worth it. Lots to see, unfortunately I had to leave a bit soon so as to get home by 17:00 but managed to capture a good number of layouts.

Lovely to see more lovely layouts from the West Country!! This is a model railway show that I could have visited when my parents came from London to see me at boarding school.

There’s a Network South East layout with both a Gronk and either an EMU or a DEMU. Which is it? Is it a Class 205 or Class 411?

Hi, great to hear from you. If you are referring to the Depot layout there is a Class 205 and a 2 car EMU. I used to diagram class 205 thumpers for the Uckfield and Ashford service's when I worked for Connex South Central just after BR was Privatised.
