- It took more than 9 years, but today my engine did his first run!
Only the crankshaft and housing are original. The other parts I use where:
-Carburetor from an Alfa Romeo 75
-Pistons from Toyota Celica turbo
-Cylinder sleeves, Alfa Romeo 33
-Turbo Garret 15
-Cylinder head is from Alfa Romeo boxer engine.
-Inlet and outlet manifold self-made
-Water pump Suzuki GSR 1100
-Oil pump Suzuki GSR 1000
And a lot of parts are self made.
Enjoy the movie, Chris - Auta a dopravní prostředky
An interesting video, congratulations for the excellent work, bravo!
Bravo, bel lavoro. Saluti dall'Italia.
Hello,
That's right I just build up the engine to test him. That's why I'm still cautious. Meanwhile I take it apart to see if there is something wrong somewhere.
But I still studying and I do not have time for the engine at the moment. Hopefully this summer when I have finished my studies.
Greetings Chris
Yes, build from parts all over the world!
Chris
Thanks for the comment!
Chris
Dank je! Chris
mi sembra molto scarburato, magro, complimenti davvero bello
Ongelofelijk gaaf!!!
its beautiful:) i would like have this one to my fiat 126p
At the moment I prefere to put a two cilinder (motorcycle) engine in the car. I am building this engine now for 11 years! Thats a lot off time!
Looks sweet, i think you can also run a motorcycle head on it from yamaha tdm should fit, with a couple of bike carbs
@84TheAce O that's the misunderstanding. I use the 650cc air-cooled engine off the classic Fiat 500. With a turbo "the sky is the limit" when we talk about horsepower.
There is somebody from Germany who build a air-cooled engine with 90hp and that is real fun!! But he need to repair the engine each several kilometres. So I like to have engine with power and less maintenance.72hp is I think the absolute limit.
Maybe I will ex plane anything of this engine in a new video.
Greetz Chris
@84TheAce Hallo, Sorry but I dont now what you mean with a Fire engine.
For all the other questions, no. I will first check the engine, and stop some leakings. Then I build it in my fiat 500.
I guess that it will bring about 50 hp.
Greats Chris
Ciao! Bel progetto :)
Hi Chrispy1965,
Congratulations on the editing and thank you for sharing.👍
Can you tell me which cylinders and pistons you use?
I have a 126 and 16v boxer motors 😉
@chrispy1965 ok. i have a 500 sporting, the next model, with the 1108cc engine. that's why i read 50HP i didn't understand :-) i will wait for the on-road video!! bye bye
The original of the Alfa Romeo 33
Chris
👍
No problems with our other car so far..
Chris
Do you have more photos or video when the engine is build?
Did you hear the latest two cylinder twinair from fiat in the new 500? it's turbo with 95hp. It's a 850cc
a living Frankenstein
Very nice...what is the cylinder bore spacing? I am guessing the alfa's match it (which boxer btw)? block no longer aircooled? Any reason stock oil pump could not lubricate head?
The cilinderboring did not fi. It is 118 vs. 102mm so I shortend it by 16mm. It is wattercooled now.In the sump is an oilpump from an motorcycle.
is the engine from you start the 1108 fire? did you try it on a car? And, how many Hp it have?
Rpm max? TY
@chrispy1965 i mean the 1108cc engine of fiat 500 2nd series. is it the same 500 that you mean? Or you have the old 500? Ty for the answers. Only 50 HP? Did you start from the air cooled engine of the first 500? In that case, you will enjoy a very funny car :-) bye
which camshaft used?
Chris
not a garret T5 I think that woulbe larger than a cosworth sierra turbo - a t3!
How much power it makes?
Sorry I still dont now. I hope 65 hp
