Can it do it? Nikon Black RangeX 4K range finder!
Some affiliate links above. - Zábava
Sig will respond. They are the ones that started the affordable rangefinder that actually ranges a good distance. Can’t wait. Its good for us consumers.
Looks like it's pretty damn nice.
Was really hoping for some comparisons with measurements from Google Earth or a GPS measurement app.
Dang at those ranges you would need to call for indirect fire.
No kidding!
Dang, that's pretty darn good look's to me. Maybe I need to get one of these when I can.
I was impressed!
Awesome Test!!! Impressive!!! :-)
Thanks, weed!
Nikon coming out of left field with a $ to yardage game changer. This is fantastic! You may not be the largest channel on CZcams but you just sold a tuck load of these.
I think they're selling themselves at this point. Right, at this time I don't believe any finder can touch this distance at this price.
Bought one after watching this. For 450 I don’t think you can beat it. My last one cost about half as much but it wouldn’t even make it to 1000 yards. Should be the last rangefinder I ever need
That seems like something to save up for. I would be happy with one that could do around 2000 yards. The LRSU do the one mile milk jug challenge, will be looking for one for that right now. When you go to get rid of that one can you let me know 😃
I feel like I'll probably have this one forever. Lol.
Did you use any phone app to verify distance? Plenty of apps that use GPS to measure distance.
Great review... Does this have the stabilized feature like the Nikon MONARCH 3000?
Negative, it doesn't have the stablity feature which is probably why they're able to sell it at this price. I personally would rather just have a $2 thread on the bottom though.
So what's your opinion of it now? It's been awhile and now they're on sale so I'm really thinking about grabbing one.
I bought one, and it stopped working 3 days later. I only used it 5 times just to range different things around my property, and I never dropped it. I returned it to Optics Planet.
Several tripod mount attachments are available. Shop and you can get them for $30.
I know you have probobly touched on this before, but have you had a chance to compare this with the Sig kilo 2000?
Not yet, it's on my list though!
Seems like its killing my Bushy Elite 1600..
no tripod mount? massive oversight.
There is one
And those hits appear to be under a cloudy sky...still able to get readings. Time to upgrade my pre-2007 Nikon 400 (yard), lol. dude.......you probably just sold a lot of these.
Pssh... I think they're selling themselves!
Try the stabilized 3000 way easier and it goes over 3000
JB I’m torn between this one and the monarch 3000
@@Rome_504 What did you end up getting?
Yuk Tuk I went with the Nikon Black Rangex 4k
How the hell has rangefinder technology made such an amazing leap forward? I just bought the Leupold 2800 for $450. Ranges to 2800 yards with 1/2 yard accuracy!
I'd like to see a comparison between the Leupold and this Nikon. Snipers Hide put up their review of the Nikon and their results were much different from this guy. They seem to think the Nikon is really only solid to 1200 yards.
@@jasoninglehart3923 I ordered the Leupold based on Tiborasuarus Rex' video. He lasered "bushes" at 2000 yard plus ranges, and stated that the distances were correct. I'm gonna check out the Shipers Hide review, thx.
@@GetMeThere1 I went ahead and ordered a Nikon just because of the price. This technology has been advancing so fast I hate buying something that might be outdated in less than 2 years. I definitely feel like my Kilo 2000 is ancient now. Good luck with the Leupold. It was definitely my first choice.
@@jasoninglehart3923 I was just watching this video: czcams.com/video/z93mIRsRtX0/video.html and they mentioned that some previous patents had recently expired -- implying that was the reason for the big leap forward in technology; it was there all the time, but it was owned by (apparently) the high-priced rangefinder companies. Makes sense, actually. That was my initial puzzlement: how technology could so suddenly get so much better.
@@GetMeThere1 Likely owned by Vectronix Contracted for the Military.
Beam Divergence and laser power are the 2 major factors....civilian lasers are WAY underpowered compared to Military intruments.
I'll buy when it has a tripod mount.
Many are available.
$400 for that?....Quite worth it.
Yeah, I don't think there are any other range finders close to this price right now that can touch 4K yards.
Highjak86 those damn things do not. I repeat. Absolutely do not work at range. You are lying to people saying these are worth buying
9:05 that’s what she said!
bahahaha
I forgot about you.
Me too.
Nikon is anti hunting....
No... they're not.
For anti-hunting they sure do make a lot of equipment to make hunting much easier.
And Coke is anti soft drink.
...and Rosanne Barr is anti-Lunch Buffet.
