I laughed more than I should have at the JAWS tail fin part lol. great video
Same! Quite frantically, my cat looked at me like 'What the f hooman, u ok?' 😂 Loved the video, always relaxing to watch. 😊
That intro sums Steve up perfectly. Brilliant.
1. Get home.
2. Film it.
Awesome.
I love your sense of humor even when you are exhausted I’m sure! The jaws theme was perfect! God bless and thank you!
I not only laughed at the jaws portion, I had to replay it and laugh again! I am traveling right now as well, and this is me stopping for “a wee Steve Marsh break.”
My dad worked for KLM so as a family we traveled quite a bit. The sounds of air travel - from the plane noises to the background chatter of the passengers - are the most relaxing sounds. I use videos like this to fall asleep every night. Thank you!
The Swedes know how to do snow properly !
@@AuroraJadefyre what are you talking about? This winter it's been snowing everywhere except Skåne since November 😂
@@3amigos919 true but them lots can’t handle the snow. Complete chaos
@@3amigos919It's lazy English on OPs part. 'Doing snow properly' could refer to the amount of snow Sweden gets, the quality of it or the public/state reaction to getting a large amount of it.
Steve “Spielberg” Marsh directs Jaws spoof 😂 good yin
I really love how normal and relatable your content is. Connections, walking, bus stops in the dark, your DIY approach. This is how I like to do things. It’s so refreshing when every other thumbnail these days is 72 Hours in First Class XYZ.
Sir, I have to say, I wish what is available on TV was as good as watching your videos. Thank you for taking us on all of these adventures.
One thing I love about Scandinavian and Sweden in particular. The bus drivers are always super friendly and helpful 🤩
There's something really cool about you using public transport on so many of these trips. Makes it seem so much more accessible. Thanks for proving it can be done ❤
Steve, my 92 year old father in law loves your channel.
Ian from Monifieth. 👍🐈⬛
I have been both in Kiruna and Montrose, went to School in Jokkmokk and worked at NOV in Montrose, had a alligator burger at a pub in Montrose.
Steve I don’t know how you do it - making an all day trek on buses, planes and a van all the way home, but after this one, I felt like I was the one who’d experienced the long journey home! Beautifully done sir!
Another excellent video, Steve - and as a former airline executive [Delta Air Lines], you were in excellent hands with SAS and KLM, two of the very best airlines in the industry... 👍
Never ceases to amaze me how Scandinavian airfields / airports remain open in the most unfriendly of weather and temperatures 🤷♂️
Brilliant sense of humor on a long and difficult journey home,
Hope you slept well and didn’t dream of Jaws tail planes or fin’s chasing you, let alone the shoe-less foot touching you 😂😂
Great video Steve
Keep em coming 💪
What a privilege to visit Kiruna with you. Thank you
That was indeed a sad-looking breakfast. Do come back and film in Sweden at some point, however, it's been great to see! As others have pointed out, even most Swedes haven't visited the polar circle, so it's been a treat to follow it via your lens.
Yes, it was really tragic looking. I'm still wondering what it actually was, or intended to be.
@@andrewpreston4127A cheese sandwich/wrap thing made with a "thick" flatbread called polar bread.
Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Standard breakfast for many Swedes. Delicious with a cup of chocolate even. Very, very cheap of SAS though. The exact same product is sold at grocery stores for like €2
What was interesting here was in Glasgow if there is a slight frost the plane is delayed whilst they defrost the wings. In tge Artic you could build a snowman on them and away they go.😊
Hi Steve - I used to know Stockholm's Arlanda airport very well as back in 1995 I was working over in Moscow & used to fly back & forth via Stockholm with SAS once a month. Indeed for about 12 months I was a gold card frequent flier. Happy days! 😎
Oh Steve. What a journey. So enjoyable to watch from the comfort of my armchair in my warm home. Credit to the Swedes for how they cope with such icy conditions. Bet your heart sank at the task of “deicing” your snow laden car in Aberdeen. You must have been so cold! 🥶
I'm happy he decided to visit my part of the world. As for the icy conditions - it's not that bad.
The 'Jaws' tail fin made us laugh out loud. So good. 😂
That "JAWS" part was awesome and cunningly sharp made up! 😂 Great video as always!!
Hi Steve. Just to say thank you so much for sharing this wonderful trip, we have so enjoyed your journey. Beautiful places and stunning scenery. Glad you got home safe eventually even if it was to more snow 😊. Looking forward to your next adventure xx
That WAS a long day, but you weathered it like a champ! Thanks for bringing us in your carry-on! 😉😊
You did well to remain cheerful at the end of such a long journey. I did a return flight from Amsterdam to Stockholm and back with KLM in 2019 for 100 Euros. Both flights were enjoyable.
Those long travel days are exhausting; they are part of the price of travel I guess. Thanks for sharing.
Have you thought about kitting out the back of your van with a makeshift bed and somewhere you can sleep occasionally? For me, your journey was, although very good but very long and tiring. And it must have felt great to finally get to Aberdeen, but imagine when you get to your van, you could have a nice well rested nap before driving back home!
I'm also a FlightRadar24 member. I find it quite relaxing to watch the aircraft buzzing around the stratosphere.
It’s hard. To arcticulate how much I enjoyed this series. I just lapped it up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍 from 🇦🇺
The captain on the last KLM flight sounded like Mentour Pilot, can you imagine that one CZcamsr flying another CZcamsr to their destination. Thanks Steve nice air travel video.
What a slog! Bet it felt good to sleep in your own bad that night. The way you edited out the curse word and later added the Jaws theme gave me quite a laugh. Thanks again Steve!
Nobody but you can make such a journey so compelling. I realise this isn't the true experience, but your skill at making these videos is unquestioned. Dare I say there's an ASMR quality to these travel day videos, especially when they're free from jeopardy. I loved this.
The beautiful nature of flight sends one’s imagination wild with intrigue because one minute you’re here & the next you’re there in a different world 😮😊
I'm sitting here in my warm room, looking out the plane window at the snow beside the runway, and shivering 🤣
Realy enjoyed this trip. I feel knackered just watching it! 😮💯❄️❄️
What a boxset of movies!! I liked the "Jaws" theme when the tailplane went past!! Very droll!! Many thanks Steve.
How sad to leave Sweden behind. It looks majestic! You make the travel part look easy! Thanks for the Sweden Series - really great videos and interesting adventures!
Steve, considering you had 3 flights, 2 buses and a long drive, remarkably it went all smoothly. Keep up the content, as always refreshing and relatable to us normal folks like yourself!
Loved your Jaws reference with tail of the KLM plane, very cute. Another great video.
Wow Steve. Brilliant presentation as always.thankyou..goodness knows how you manage to stay awake..hard going but we all appreciate your videos...beautiful footage..🤩🍔🍺
Steve ur my favorite travel channel, genuine person🎉😊
Really nice to get an extra film from you.enjoyed the jaws and clock parts
Hi Steve, I really enjoyed your travel to the Arctic. I admire your dedication to your thought processes and time taken to plan these journeys.
Have to admit: I'm kind of addicted to your videos! Thank you so much!!
I bet back in the glory days of small airlines with turboprop planes, a Fokker F-27 or Vickers Viscount would have taken you straight from Kiruna to Embra.
Thanks for sacrificing your arse for these insights! 🤗 There's no way it hasn't been frozen off on that rip! 🥴
I’ve really enjoyed this series of clips Steve, looks like you had a great time, bet you slept for a week after though 🤣🤣✊
You are a lucky man to do all this traveling!
Ah yes! The Sky Shark migration in the Netherlands is a sight to see!
Yet again, it is a very enjoyable film. Looking forward to your next adventure 😀
Fantastic video again Steve & your return home from Sweden. Even though it was mighty cold, the places you visited looked very interesting. Thanks for sharing with us.... and i loved the Jaws music - brilliant ! :)
Hi again Steve, I enjoyed it, your some guy, you take us all over the place.
I liked the K L M to the Jaws theme tune, wee laugh there. Thank you, from me in Irvine 😁
Great shot featuring ABBA ;-)
I love the hilarious Jaws music as we watch the fin of the plane taxi past. For a guy traveling all day Steve I love how you keep your sense of humor
Thanks for another great video Steve. I bet everywhere you travel has better roads and pavements than montrose, they're deadly!
Thank you for sharing your journey home with us and I seriously can’t believe how much snow was on your car
Thank you for another great video Steve. I loved the Jaws music combo with the KLM tail fin at Schiphol, nice touch 😊
A weekday bonus video is a treat to the eyes, love the content as always ❤
I really enjoyed your Arctic circle travels. It amazes me that despite the freezing cold and snow. These places just get on with life it is really impressive.
I just love the weird and beautiful light from the sky at those high latitudes
Great video yet again especially the filming of the take off .
you must love snow !
What a wonderful vid for us! Thanks so much for valiant day and night filming. I loved it and enjoy your humour!
I so enjoy yourn videos from the comfort of my home. I don't much like flying but enjoy watching you get about so easily it seems. Mind how you go mate!
I felt your pain. That long journey all the way from Swedish Lapland only to find your car encased in snow and having to dig it out before the final leg of your journey. I bet you slept well that night! ☃🏁
Thank you so much for this journey it was beautiful and a place I have always wanted to see. I really love the jaws theme as KLM was disappearing 😂. So happy you made it home safely 🤗❤️
Hi Steve Paul from Kent again another fabulous loved the ABBA pictures on the wall at Stockholm airport my favourite pop group glad you enjoyed the experience looked wonderful take care Paul
What a lovely surprise - a video from my favourite youtuber ❤❤
It looked absolutely gorgeous but perishing at the same time. Glad you got home safely xxx
Thanks for the bonus video Steve. Always enjoy your videos and already looking forward to where you go next on your travels 👍🙂
Really enjoyed watching this video and the views were spectacular! And you even managed to bring the arctic weather back home with you!
Excellent. Loved the flight views. Always amazed at how quickly the plane is suddenly airborne . I have really enjoyed your Northern journeys.
Another fantastic vlog mate, keep up the good work to keep us entertained!!
Stive love your channel your incredible and amazing buddy 😎you keep me happy thank you for being such a amazing person
I'll like that one just for the Jaws music 🤣
What I really enjoy with your videos Steve is the naturalness, it is like actually going on a trip with you, nothing fancy just real life, just as it is, it makes me want to go where you have been. I have watched your videos for some time but I seldom comment on anything here on youtube. Yours though are outstanding in their plain presentation.
Get Home Well, dear Steve.......what an adventure..... Blessings and greetings from Daggy Kiel Germany ☘️☘️☘️
I’m still in awe of that ice hotel it really was fantastic
Safe travels home
Three flights and your almost home, not too bad in one day, from snow to snow, not much changes except the language, All the best Steve.
You earn your money Steve, I’m exhausted just watching you journey home, thanks for the video.
Really enjoyed that Steve, many thanks! Not gonna lie, when I saw the amount of snow piled up on your car, for a split second I thought we were going to get a bonus-bonus video of your late-night expedition from Aberdeen to Montrose 🤣
That's the airport bus I drive every other weekend and that's my colleague driving 😄
What an exciting journey ,less stressful from here watching ,feeling with you the cold and the beauty, thank you!😊
13:24 "I Wonder - Departure" (ABBA song) 😉
🤣...Jaws music ( or the music to the film!).....SO funny, loved that
This video had wll the feels . I really fekt like o was on the plane
Thank you from someone who finds it hard to switch off
❤. These last two videos have made me fall in love with you.
Seeing you travel in winter is so much more fun than in the summer. What a boring time waiting around but you made it. Great series from Sweden with extra videos too.
Class vlog. Maintaining a terrific quality but that's what Super Steve delivers 😊😊
I just got back from a trip to Norway, seeing Oslo and Bergen, taking the same train you did but stopping off to do the Flam railway and cruise. Although I didn't love either city, the cruise was more than worth the trip. Funnily enough, for most of the flight from London to Oslo the Pilots had the door to the flight deck open which I could see into from my seat for some great views.
that's true humour: spotting the "Jaws" moment and apologizing to your car after all this hassle. Reminds me of landing in Lappeenranta in a blizzard and driving one hour to Imatra through a simoom of dustlike snow (without luggage, which got stuck in Helsinki) - I would not have had any humour left.
Ahh, SAS, fond memories.
Would fly from London to Copenhagen. Then Copenhagen to Aarhus on a small silver plane with propellors! Did that trip many times when my friend lived in Viborg, Denmark 🙂
Aa yes another temporary thing in Kiruna. The busstation. A new one will be built in the new city center. The old one is behind fences and soon demolished. Welcome back. Perhaps during the summer and the midnight sun and then continue to Narvik.
Stunning view's from the plane window.i don't realy like flying but love looking at the land as we take off and land.i think my brain is playing tricks .at 5pm last night I was sitting looking for your vlog.thought perhaps you hadent posted it .but eh its just come up.senior moment.🥴
Quite the slog home! I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised to hear loud Americans in the Kiruna airport; undoubtedly guests at the Icehotel. Thanks for the laugh with the homage to “Jaws”! Cheers and ATB!
Thanks Steve I watched your Kiruna tour and 2days later an acquaintance said she was going to visit her granddaughter in Sweden as usual you ask where. Imagine her surprise when I recognised Kiruna she had been to your coffee shop and the church
When the weather is bad and people don't want to take the car out, who do they depend on? Public transport! Having worked on railways and buses, I can tell you the public who want to travel underappreciate what a good job is done for them. The good news, Steve, is that you didn't clear all that snow off only to find that it wasn't your car!
Steve my friend,
I thank you always for leaving raw the sounds of flight operations. You are the best. Of course that I enjoy your narrations, but being able to hear the sounds in natural volume without commentary, takes us there with you. ✈️
PS Hilarious Jaws theme and the censored pain in... the comment. You outdid yourself in this one. 😂
Ok. You made me blow beer out my nose with the KLM Jaws routine! 🤣🤣
when you’re exhausted your mind works in weird ways…that Jaws joke was hilarious 🤣
now enjoy your sleep and hopefully you get some good rest in the next adventures
Sometimes it's hard to comprehend just how difficult it must be producing content constantly. You wouldn't think there's much inspiration in a simple journey of 3 flights and a short bus ride but you've grown into the job so much over the last couple of years that making twenty minutes of engaging content from it seems to come without any difficulty. Of course we don't see the amount of work behind the scenes with the editing, music selection etc, Good to see you made it home safely.
I genuinely appreciate this!!!
@@steve-marsh You have something very special & modest to boot.
I couldn't have said it any better. There can't be many who produce such engaging content!
And you're so likeable, Steve. I love your videos.
Agree with all of this. Great guy, great job!
