The weird pattern does not indicate a liquid damage. It happens to appear when the inner layer of the AMOLED breaks, which happens by external impacts or force. Sometimes you can see AMOLED screens having cracks underneath the glass, but the glass still being intact. You will also see these newton rings there because those appear when the screen cracks internally.
