i know nobody asked but. biggest tip of all: do whatever you can to avoid a fight. you never know when someone has a hidden knife or gun, and even a simple knockout can kill you if you land on your head wrong on concrete. Of course if it’s absolutely necessary then do what you can, play dirty if you must. for a STREET fight that is. throw dirt, etc. ive seen people die over minor disputes in street fights. always be ready 💯
@Ross-js9xc i guess you never watched worldstar way back in the days. People absolutely got destroyed on the streets for minor stuff. Maybe not necessarily Deathly. But pavement is always stronger than your head 😅
My brother is ex military and has competed professionally as a kickboxer. He always says that the best self defence in a street fight is a 40 yard dash 😂
Literally what i think,i was involved in a streetfight some weeks ago and was trowing hands with the guy,i caught him with 2 right hand hooks and he after the punchs hugged me in "cinturada"(i think is hip lock in english) and caught me off guard, but i train jiu-jitsu and Brazilian luta livre so i grabbed him in "Ezequiel" and pulled guard because i was in asfault and afraid of takedowns,he was almost passing out when i let him go and my friends trying to separete the fight, but after that i will keep my eyes very open to baianas/Double leg and hiplocks/cinturadas
The only thing people don’t realize is your not fighting 1on1 yeah you take him down then all of a sudden you get a boot to the face and fucks up your whole plan
I love a boxing stance bc its literally a good stance for a double, single, or anything. And dont think too much into it. Just run into them. Do football coaches teach how to tackle or do they just say put them on the ground. If trained, yea you got to know what you’re doing.
Yes that's a fun takedown. However the Judo counter is there for the taking uchi mata .. there's several counters . But the that hips in and a step ...and turn and launch like a lateral throw.
I have been in 1 street fight my entire life so talking out of my ass Something about going to the ground scares the shit out of me since you never know if hes got boys.
I'm 6'4 220lbs. Don't do this with people bigger than me, Its wayyyyy easier to shoot the whole single and run the pipe- We have no balance/equilibrium. There's a 0% chance you get powerbombed.
So with this being a street fight scenario, why would you still focus on going for joint manipulation “going for wrist” instead of using your position and just hammering his head? Legitimate question, and it’s something I’ve noticed with quite a few practitioners, it seems the mat training environment loop kicks in.
If the end goal is to just get to the waist why go for the leg first at all? Does it not make sense to just go for the waist straight away? When I was in the army and they were teaching us there was a situation where they asked us to close the distance grab the waist and and immediately circle around to the back while maintaining a grip on the waist and keeping your head low around their lower back. Just trying to understand the process and the why of it
Why do you go to the single leg first and then up to hips right away instead of just going straight to hips? Sorry if that’s a dumb question, I’m not a fighter, just fascinated by the techniques of skilled ones.
If anyone thinks this is a the first attack you want to launch in the streets your a fool always strike first and get out of the once the hit the ground and this is coming from someone who does bjj but I also do a striking art as well.
A snatch single off an inside step makes the wrestler in me cringe inside. I feel like it’d be more efficient to switch to southpaw for this tactic so you can hit the single with an outside step
Headed to the bar now to practice!
Just got discharged from the hospital. The other guy was well trained.
@@dannyrios2004lmao other guy also watched Tim’s takedown tutorial 😂
😂
Go for it I don’t trust a guy who’s never been in a dumb drunken fight builds character
@user-qd1fd7ei8h You take every chance you get to mention you own a gun don't you.
Canelos english has gotten ridiculously better

Tryping is a good word to highlight... Trying to type and not get caught I'm guessing? Lol
Thanks Tim I took my grandma down in no time with this.
The geriatric probably had it coming
Thank you Tim! Just used this technique on my elderly grandma and now she’s unresponsive ☺️

Could you show how you do the transition from single leg to hips in detail and at speed?
Please make a how to defend version on this
That lift from the body lock is money. I'm gonna try it. Thanks Timbo.

I really like your vibe Tim. Great content as always.
We need more of these vids! The world is a crazy place
Yea i had double legged someone and ended up hurting myself a bit will have to try this
Why go single leg to hip’s instead of hips right away
Don’t wanna take a random knee to the chin
I’m assuming close distance, idk lmaooo

This Canelo guy can do just about anything wow.
Tim ahead of the game in everyone in my opinion
Any time I get in a fight I just remove my squat plug and use it as a weapon. Literally not one person engaged with me.
Honestly i woudnt suggest going to the ground in a street fight, no matter what.
Great technique for grappler
Tim made this look easy, remember to stay calm Forsure!
What if I'm the smaller guy?
pack heat
slide in rule #1 gotta slide in ur opponent
Thanks to this video ive had three retraining orders put out against me
I never knew this when I was in wrestling
Thanks canelo 🤙🏾

Nicely done brother ❤
Nobody in a street fight is going for a single leg 😂.

After watching these videos I have concluded I would not like to be in a fight with Tim Welch
no better coach in MMA
I think it would be a lot easier to stick to the single and run the pipe. Not all of us are built like the red hawk 💪
It's time to challenge my father😂
Do you actually try to fully grab his leg up off the ground for the single leg or just a pump fake as you showed ?
Tim would bully someone in a street fight.
Instructions unclear Tim can you pay for my medical bills😂
Is the single leg a feint?
Most people don't street fight sober
Obviously avoid a street fight at all cost however , but i did security at a club and a mauy thai sweep or trip will take so much fight out of person
Tim i will drop everything i know to come train with you i live in uk i will drop EVERYTHINGGGG…..❤

“It doesn’t matter what size they are” *proceeds to show a move you cannot do on someone much bigger unless you are a freak athlete*
He said "It Does matter" just hard to hear.
How is it that you and Eric Nicksick are two separate individuals, wtf
How about someone who is 5'8"-5'9" against someone your size?
Pretty inexperienced myself. Why go from the single leg to the body lock rather than right into the body lock or a double leg into a body lock?
What is the fake single leg for?
You just gave up an elbow to the face and a headlock...
What if he shoulder tosses that big head?
Alexy Ignashov doing MMA?
