Indoor cycling fans: Honeywell HT900E vs Pro Breeze

  • What is the best fan for indoor cycling and turbo training? Probably the biggest one you can get.
In this video, I compare the Honeywell HT900E against the Pro Breeze 20", both of which are popular picks on Amazon. I look at power output (how much can it shake my house plant) and noise levels, comparing it to the noise of the Tacx Neo 2T indoor trainer that I am using.
The Pro Breeze is twice the price of the Honeywell but, in my opinion, is well worth the extra money. You just cannot get enough cooling out of the smaller fans (btw, I'm sure Honeywell do larger fans, it's more of a small fan vs big fan comparison).
Neither are particularly loud. The Pro Breeze is slightly louder than the turbo trainer, but the Neo is the quietest trainer on the market, so that is not saying much. My old fluid trainer would certainly be the loudest of all of them.
You could also consider something like the Wahoo Headwind, but why spend £200 for a fan that you can't even tilt? The Pro Breeze is the winner in my opinion.

My thoughts exactly Chris:) Bought a Brandson windmachine for indoors and the Honeywell for sitting at my desk or couch. They each have their purpose.

Exactly my setup. Honeywell was not enough by a mile. Pro Breeze is a life changer.

No remote control? Would you not want to change speed without getting off?

Yeah, there's no remote. That would be nice although it's the more the angle I would like to fiddle with while on the bike.
