I love the Ronette inspiration for this video, their look was so iconic and it suited Ms. Carey so well. Ronnie Spector was sort of a precedent for Ms. Carey too, both being biracial/racially ambiguous, and both eventually marrying extremely controlling, powerful men.

One of the greatest pop music videos, ever. Of course, the song is fanatastic, but whoever staged and choreographed this screening is a genius. Everything about it is so much fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously - the backing singers and dancers are brilliant and hilarious in equal measure, which is so fitting for a Christmas pop song.
