- The Street Triple R has replaced the Street Triple S as the new entry-level middle-weight naked sportsbike in Triumph India’s portfolio. We think that’s a great move for the brand as well as the riders. It’s cheaper, packs in more equipment and it performs in a way that you won’t think of it as a compromise even if you wouldn’t strech to the Street Triple RS. Watch the video to know more!

Bought a low km 2020 Street Triple R today. Love it.
An absolutely excellent review. Thank you. And, I've not heard the adjective 'cracking' for a very long time. So, a cracking review for a smashing bike.
I will buy what ever makes me happy 😃
That’s the bottom line! Buy the motorcycle that makes you happy, not the motorcycle that necessarily fits in your budget.
Who is stopping you 🤣🤣🤣
I really liked Rohits review over the years! He's a Great Journalist!
Thank you 😊
Is now the best
Your reviews are awesome Rohit!
The observations are phenomenal and you give importance to practical use which is commendable!
Thank you 🙏🏼 I’m glad you find our reviews worthwhile.
The cinematography, colur grading nailed it, editing I think needs improvement.
I havent seen a motor journalist giving both 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers review with such a panache. Your deep observations are mind blowing. Bang on review😍😍. Your reviews keep us going.
Thank you for the kind words, Prashant. 🙏🏼
Very good review. I have just bought a 2022 R, have only done 100 miles so far, but even at running in revs it's fun.
Crystal clear ... cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you 🙏🏼
Lovely Rohit...very nice review...simple straight and precise journalism...a much needed approach to an other wise 'im so smart' or 'just so casual' reporting we seem to see more often.. bhai ...you please do more of 2 wheelers reviews n videos... really enjoyed this !,
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for the kind words!
Once a biker, always a biker! 🤘👌
We would love to see a ST3 vs Z900 vs F900 comparison !
Trying to line them up 🙂
Best bike review in recent times . All points covered.
Thank you. I’m glad you found it worthwhile
Rohit sir u r fab !! U set a benchmark jst amazing ur reviews has become too good sir 👍
Thank you 🙏🏼
Great review. Covered all pertinent points here. Maybe could have touched on the after sale service aspect cost wise.
Nice review and I have test rider street triple rs and r both have same engines but if you tech savvy go for rs and this bikes are quick will give you adrenaline rush every time
Thank you for the review. You look much thinner and fitter!
This is a good review. Make more videos like this. It sounds like we'll studied and detailed. Most other Indian reviews are becoming more of a brochure elaboration or I know everything bullshit. Keep these videos coming.
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
Beautiful looking bike and now more VFM with the list of updates it has got over the S and inching closer towards the RS. I would love to get this bike and would be a proper upgrade over a Duke 390.
Best review I have seen so far! Great job!
What do you think of this bike compared to Yamaha mt09 gen 3? Thanks
Great video. If your thinking of buying, this is very accurate description. Rs model has stiff suspension, hard to read tft, electronic fob, blurry bar end mirrors and nicer looking seat and belly pan.. This R engine is a little better for the road having power a little lower down and better ? feeling brakes.
Great Video.Great Superbike at the price. The ultimate choice for the upgrading 400cc Enthusiasts.....
But if budget not a concern the 2020 RS is still the Champion.
Great review!
Thank you 😊
There is a special tool provided under the pillion seat to adjust the front shocks.
Great review . If you can compare Z 900 alongside street triple R will give potential customers like me clear picture 👍
We will try
Rode both bike a week ago...Z900 is waaaay to smooth, and it's kinda boring...Street is more of a fun bike.
The tool to adjust the forks is located in the tool kit under the seat.
I think triumph nailed it with the pricing! This is the new value option bike in the middle weight naked class in India, beating the z900 hands down! Now we just wait for KTM to bring in the 890 duke r at a good price, cause that is probably the best bike in class currently!
The KTM 790 Duke BSVI was supposed to be out in April, but we are still waiting for that to happen. We hope they have learnt their lesson and price the bike well...
You look smarter now with all the weight loss you've achieved. Din notice much on the Gloster video but in this video, you look noticeably leaner... 👏🏻😍
Thank you 🙏🏼
Finally focused on your health you look taller now ,looking really good
Now that is a good review, if only the weather was more cooperative. One thing missing from Triumph accessories is a good (taller) windscreen. With the headlight and dashboard sitting that low, tiny screens are efectively even lower w.r.t the rider's torso.
Awesome Review Thanks
We want to see reviews of T100 and T120 sir....u r the best auto blogger in India.....your views are important in taking buying decisions
Nice that they keep the analog tach. TFT tach does not give me the same sensation.
Please make a comparison video with 2020 z900 or 2019 z900
Whatever makes you happy ! 😁
Review like reading the magz effect its significant.
Planning to upgrade in 2022. Kindly suggest if I go for Street triple r over Honda CB 650R and Z900?
3 videos in, love the info and quick quips about things that come up while riding. But... Does it ever stop raining out there? 🤔 Rain in all 3 videos!!
Best looking #Triumph motorcycle ever. Lovely bike.
Always been dream bike
Great review...I just wonder why the 0-100 time matters...I know for race it does, but on normal roads who does that...the milli seconds in a second don’t matter...
Also the sizes in mm, I wish the sizes were in cms or inches
03:37 What a deep flaw u guyz picked, some people will think its such a small flaw, but i can relate it to real life and can see how irritative it is!!!
Ex- Just imaging guyz when u r watching a video and suddenly the wire of ur cabled/ non-wireless earphones(🎧) comes in the middle of the screen of your Computer/Laptop/Mobile device!!!
Is the ground clearance more confidence-inspiring than the Z900 or the CBR650R for our road conditions? The outgoing Street Triple S had its owners concerned with the fact that the ground-clearance was on the lower side
Well, we didn’t scrape the motorcycle’s belly during the shoot, but the GC is comparable to the bikes you have mentioned. As I said in the review, you can’t be as worry free as you would be with an Adv, and have to exercise caution on bad roads.
Rightly said....!! Street dogs r the most dangerous enemies for these kind of bikes.... i hd an accident on my z800 and broke my left hand bcz of a street dog... be careful riders..!!
Triumph can't even hide the clutch cable for this price tag motor cycles??
Absurd!!
I know right. Such a bummer.
I had the R from 2017-2020...with the TFT display..the clutch cable was well hidden and had no issues....Prefer my gxsr thousand now though 🤣
That's for the rider to constantly remind the cable cost, in case the rider thinks of doing mad aggressive things. LOL
Great review... Is it worth spending 10 lakhs on this bike..... Keeping in mind the service costs and other accessories. Or would the upcoming trident make a better case for our Indian roads...
Trident is going to be an entry level product. It’s like choosing between the Z900 vs the Z650, only difference being both the Triumph motorcycles will be powered by triple-cylinder engines. Service costs won’t be astronomically higher for the Street Triple over the Trident though. And Triumph is also known for having one of the most economical service costs in the premium lot
Fabulous machine... the exposed sump is a bit of worry... one stone away from RSA....cheers
Does it have cruise control?
What about pillion comfort?
Would love to hear where z900 stands on comparing with the street triple R.
Nowhere, As Street triple has a better power to weight ratio and have a bidirectional quick-shifter.
The instrument cluster looks like it was taken from the pulsar 220😂
When you see it you can't unsee it.
I bought the R in June after having the 2018 model, it's quicker in the first two gears and now has the quickshifter/auto blipper as standard, overall IMO it's better than the 2017 to 19 model apart from the lack of TFT screen.
But does the TFT screen really bother u as the riding experience is wayy more important
@@wrathofdiablo Yeah the addition of the new quickshifter/auto blipper more than compensates the loss of the TFT screen but IMO the TFT just adds that bit more class than the dated analog display.
@@yonniboy1 How does it run so far? Are city rides easy with Indian traffic and bad roads? Have you done the service yet, how much did it cost? Thanks!
@@wrathofdiablo It runs just great, faster in the mid range than my 2018 model plus they've lowered 1st and 2nd gear so it's great in city traffic, the suspensions the same as the earlier R so a really comfortable ride, it cost 8,900 pounds but that's recently risen to 9,100.
@@yonniboy1 far cheaper in the UK than in India then. Here it's over 2k pounds more. I had done a test ride of the 2018 S model and loved it. Might get the R though instead of the Rs as that's super expensive here. Cheers!
no detail review of GSX-S750 , why ?
doesnt have the Q/sh blipper tho?
For sports bikes above 200cc you should take time to showcase its soundtrack... and give your opinion on what sounds more vvrrrooom...
We did give you a listen of the soundtrack and spoke about it too...
Tank capacity??
This is 1lac more now (OR pune) than the price mentioned in this video of 10.33 lac.
I think the z900 is still the better bike in the segment. Raw riding pleasure and butter smooth engine plus there's no reason to pick an inline 3 over inline 4. Also this doesn't justify the price premium of almost a lakh as this doesn't have the road presence of the z900 as well.
P.S - Bit biased because i own the z900 and at the time of purchase i compared both thoroughly.✌️
I think design is more of a personal choice. The four-cylinder is certainly a lovely, smooth operator. The Z900 isn’t as nimble as the Street Triple though. So someone who’s looking for something in the middleweight category that is light on its feet is likely to prefer the Street Triple over the Z900. The latter will appeal to someone who wants the sound of the inline four and likes the aggressive styling of the Kwacker
@@rohit_paradkar fair point but i think the triple still doesn't justify the price tag considering the price of competition. Hence, low sales volume of the triumph and the z900 is the best seller.
Finally a street triple under 10 lakh on road in Delhi-NCR 😀. Will a Low ride height option(780 mm seat height ) in this reduce ground clearance too ?
The low-height option isn’t available in India yet.
@@rohit_paradkar Thanks for the reply. It's strange then that triumph india website says Low Seat Version available under street triple R specification www.triumphmotorcycles.in/motorcycles/roadsters/street-triple/r
What's the ground clearance? Is there an 780mm seat height variant available?
I’m sorry, I don’t have the ground clearance figure and for some reason Triumph refuses to reveal it. But I’m guessing it will be in the 140-160mm range. The low-seat version isn’t sold in India.
@@rohit_paradkarThe official website triumph india has listed 780mm option available. Thank you for covering the 2020 R and it was a great review.
It looks like a huge mantis with two wheels
Nice bike but expected a colour TFT meter
That is exclusive to the RS
Then get the 2019 version. Basically same bike but with colour TFT dash.
What about speed breaker experience in city?
Speed breakers haven’t been much of concern
0-100 is 3.1 not 3.6. 3.6 if you mis shift to false neutral maybe lol
Brilliant review. I had a 2016 street triple. Sold it and bought a 2019 Ninja 1000 SX . Was the biggest mistake I made . Sold my Ninja. Will soon be getting a Street Triple again. Don’t get fooled by a litre class. A lighter bike is a better bike. The street triple is a great handler . Given its weight to ration .. I found the power delivery similar . The best all round Street Triple.
Why u sold the ninja sx1000? And which one would u choose between z900 and st3? St3 is my dream bike just want to know if I have made a good choice or not
@@AamirK11 sometimes it’s not the size of the bike and the litre engine. The Ninja 1000 is big , heavy and cumbersome for everyday riders . Both ninja 1000 and Z 900 the same problem. The fit and the finish is not that great. The Street Triple on the other hand packs punches given it’s power to weight ratio . Handling, fit , finish is top notch . Also the service intervals lesser than that of the Kawasaki. Go for the Street Triple and you won’t regret. I regret it as I did it :(
@@floraexoticsfloraexotics thanks mate btw which one are u choosing the triple rs or r? and u from?
@@AamirK11 triple R + booked the Ultraviolet F77. Want to give a try a fully electric bike .
@@floraexoticsfloraexotics oh great btw where u from?
I know those headlamps are the USP but that is the only thing I do not like on this motorcycle.
because, we are so used to traditional headlamp designs, that we dont accept the change. But trust me when you buy this bike, it will just grow on you and you will love it.
Which is better for beginners r or rs
Neither
will I be able to bring triple R to Himalayan Trip ?
You can even bring a ‘busa, a cruiser or a 100cc commuter to a Himalayan road trip if you intend to. But neither of them are really meant for the ever-changing terrain (if that’s what you are referring to). From that point-of-view a more accomplished adventure tourer makes more sense. This one will run out suspension or is likely to crack its rims if you aren’t overcautious.
❤🤝🏻
06:33 whose doberman is that?
I'm curious too
Not mine 😃 but it liked the motorcycle and wanted to playfully run alongside when we were shooting. So we let it do just that and gave it some screen time too
@@rohit_paradkar I honestly thought it belong to one of the OD team crew members.
Can you make a video on mt-09
Sorry, Yamaha doesn’t have a test bike anymore
Share your weight loss plan
Hahahah it’s simple diet control and a few exercises at home. There is still a long way to go for me, though 😃
Every stuff i like except headlights
Yes, that is the only polarising element on it.
Was the dog hurt during the filming of this video? 🤣
It's disappointing that in 2020 triumph still sells their bikes with lcd screen. We want TFT's on the R.
True that. It’s obviously done to give the RS more value. If all goodies come to the R, even though in a lower spec, the RS won’t make a strong case for itself.
Well they can remove the upshift and downshift and gave us the tft display... 😑
@@rohit_paradkar It's a shame, The street triple R is all the bike we will ever need.
@@harigopi12 Yes, I do hope someone from Triumph reads your msg. But if their sales is dismal I think Triumph will bring TFT to the R as well because the Z900 gets it.
Yeah z900 gets it , but its not as good as triumphs tft , like gopro connectivity and turn by turn navigation triumph offers but kawasaki doesnt
Where can i get the mirror?
Official Triumph accessories
6:32 that’s not a stray dog, it looks like a tail cut Doberman...
And he is not In attacking mood, maybe u took him out for a spin
Street Triple R or Ducati 821?
I personally like the Street Triple more for its linear power delivery
This or Daytona 675r?
I’m a Daytona worshiper 😁
@@rohit_paradkar indeed! (so says the fool who sold his :( )
Shy short girl : I love tall men 👧
Rohit : 2:43 😏
😂😂
Anybody pls tell Tire life ?
9-12k
Does 790 handles better
Yes, it’s a very sharp cornering tool, if that is what you mean by handling. Some riders are wary of its light front end though which can get unnerving while coming out of corners or lead to frequent tank-slappers despite the inclusion of a steering damper
Rohit has drastically loses his weight... some tips please rohit 😄
Diet control and a few exercises at home 😃
That number plate position in front looks absolutely bad
What about that street dog. A doberman. Well u made that one up.
And whatever makes u hapoy😆
Triumph... please make an entry level triple sports bike. 300cc triple? 😉
Haha fingers crossed with their collabaration with bajaj. Until then excited for new Trident.
@@MultiPunjabi Me too... Trident is only hope to own a triple.
Malayali 💪🏻
Nice man to be first
Brit weather 😂😂😂
Hope the dog is okay.
The dog is more than okay. It was a very playful dog and it loved the motorcycle as much I did 😃
Try to use little hindi with your superlative English....it will increase your ratings
Unfortunately Triumph Mumbai is worst service provider!
They now became too way confident & taking customer for granted considering no competitor.. ! The most best product with worst service provider
Tell Atul you will complain to Rohit Paradkar if he doesn’t give your bike a good service 😀
Outdated analog dash, in 2020? Triumph really try to maximize profit out of their products. For real, how much you can save by using this ugly analog dash...For a bike sells over $10k USD, this R model won't sell too many in USA. Ppl either just directly go RS or just not buying this model at all.
In many markets it’s the other way round.
that clutch cable is outright UGLY!

Colour grading is very bad.
Those green and skin tones 💩
