Yeah, that's why they never built one. Clearly, there isn't enough demand to justify a touring M product.
JustLiveInPeace no it wouldn‘t. The main markets for M cars are the USA, Russia, Dubai etc. These markets donˋt like station wagons. Only the europeans are buying station wagons in significant numbers and for a reason..the reason is that its praticable. An M Car with its harsh ride, loud exhaust and high costs isnˋt...so why buying one? Yes, there may be a small demand for it, but not enough.
@@markus8484 and yet Audi do very nicely with the S4/RS4/S6/RS6 Avants as do AMG with the C63/E63 Wagons.
@@markus8484 I live in Germany and they like fast estate cars here. Plenty of AMGs, S6, RS6 etc whizzing down the autobahns

Josh Rooke77 I beg to differ. Maybe it’s not as appealing to you personally to the degree you personally feel. But for history of builds at the show...what it is alone in execution made it well worth being SEMA cased. For example, There have been numerous ls swaps presented at sema that don’t touch the level of extreme this has. Especially cars that are show cases using new gen tech in older models some not even running.
See his car in my area a lot and can’t help staring at it for 5 mins it’s so fresh

As a person who thinks the last proper BMW was e46/e39(I currently own e39), you really got my attention - this is a really amazing piece of work.
Met Nick at Players classic at goodwood a couple of years ago and stood chatting to him about this build for about an hour! Nice guy and what a car it is.... I’d buy it in a heartbeat 😍 Bmw are missing a trick by not building these 👎🏼

I have wondered for years why BMW don't make M estates. Think they would sell in big numbers. My dad had an e60 m5 in both saloon and estate. I loved the estate variation.
Cause if you want an estate, you get an rs4

BMW make a proper M3 Touring 🦄 with M xDrive and rear windows privacy glass and I would seriously consider that over the X4M.
Wagons are awesome, they drive and handle like a car but you can actually carry what you need 🛒🧳 🚲🎿🥁🪑. And if you ever need to bug-out you're all good.
And if BMW ever decides to make the M3 unicorn 🦄 it needs to be brought to the United States 🇺🇸!

its absolutely stunning, but I do almost wished he ran the Comp. wheels for the video. I think it would put the cherry on top to the whole OEM theme was so THOROUGHLY AND BEAUTIFULLY done to the rest of the car. and if they're the same specs so you keep that MEGA stance... ooof. id run the comp wheels all day. but its his build and its amazing either way!

I just bought my first BMW E91. What a road hugging luxurious piece of equipment! I like the E91 its just more practical, I love being able to be able if I need to be. I'm ok with my 230hp its the least problematic version that I know of. Nick this is a beautiful masterpiece in my favorite color for a car!

Why do the mics sound so robotic at certain angles?!
They both wearing mics..so 1 voice gets picked up by both mics if they are standing too close to each other, makin it seem like 2 people are talking... and you won't be able edit it if they were not recorded on 2 seperate channels on the camera

You hit the nail on the head; I would have put my money on an estate version to fit my bike, but not an option with BMW. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough Alpina petrol versions available on the used market.

Haha funny you say that, they were the first people we asked about when planning this video, they didn't want to be associated with me because of my speeding offence with the police in 2018. I've been going there for years and shown massive support, this left a very sour taste in my mouth. 🤷🏻♂️
Absolutely love this car. Nick has done such a great job. One thing though, i just cannot get on with those wheels. He has previously had it sat on Competition Pack and M3 CS wheels and both look soooo much better. Dont know why he has opted for this option? Personal preference i guess but just a bit surprising as he has kept the rest of it so close to OEM
