This is the 「スモールワールドストーリーDX」 (“Small World Story DX”) magic motion clock from Rhythm. It was released in the United States in 1993, before American Rhythm clocks had official model names. Don’t be fooled by the retro-modernistic design, there’s more to this clock than what meets the eye! At the top of the hour or when the demonstration button is pressed, the clock’s case splits open to reveal a small band of animal figurines. The ones near the bottom rotate and dance, and the one at the top “plays” the drums.
