    Or you can buy the 5/8 size heater and have no problem

    using a sunsun filter? I'm setting up my first tank soon and made the same mistake and will have to rig up something similar to what you did :)

    *WARNING: These heaters have been officially discontinued due to the very high electronic failure rate on them. Avoid like the plague!*

      Not according to Hydor. I just asked them a couple of days ago and they said it is still in production. It is still advertised on their website too.

      Nope. It's widely reported to have a very high failure rate due to the substandard electronic components. As a result, it is no longer being produced.

      LOL, 8 months later..... still being produced, sold, and supported. Cool story though.

      I can confirm they are alive and well in 2023 going into 2024.
