  • This a video tutorial on how to replace your serpentine belt on a 2007 Honda Accord 4 Cylinder 2.4L engine but will work on models from 2004-2007. Some symptoms of a bad serpentine belt include: squeaking, squealing or chirping sound from under the hood of the car. Your check engine light or battery light is illuminated on your dashboard. Your A/C isn’t working. Power steering isn’t working. The engine’s temperature is high or overheating and the smell of burnt rubber are all symptoms of a failing serpentine belt.

Hey thanks for watching. They are very reliable and easy to work on. I bought this one with 97,000 miles and now has about what your friends has. As long as you keep up with basic maintenance you will be good.

She’s a baby. Take care of her and she’ll take care of you. Im pushing 300k. Yours will surprise you 🫡 change the spark plugs, ignition coils, throttle body (you can clean the TB), serpentine belt and fuel pump. You won’t have any issues. After another 80k or so you’ll probably need a new alternator and battery. I would recommend doing timing on it though. Honda makes it easy.
You pop off the side cover ( you can do it while the engine is in the car with some finesse and a ratchet ) take off the tensioner, chain, and guides. Use pins (they sell them if you don’t have anything small enough) and put them in the holes for the cam shafts. That will keep them aligned tdc for you as long as its close enough to get the pins in. Crankshaft you can see from the wheel well and it has a mark towards the bottom, align the mark on the crank and put on your new chain. The chains come color coded too so you can tell if the chain is set correctly.
After that she’ll last you several hundred thousand more miles with normal fluid changes!

@@TheUnknownDeveloper man I couldn’t have said it better myself! I’m actually doing the timing now.

@@ucanfixit1 siick ! Timing is always the most satisfying fix/adjustment. It just changes the whole feel of the car from startup to pickup 🤣 though it was annoying at first because I didn’t know the cams had pin holes at tdc. So I missed the timing a few times by a tooth or two till I finally realized the pin holes and came back with two Allen keys🤣

Hey thanks for watching you can use a regular open box wrench 🔧 and put another one on the end of that to give you more leverage. Loop the open side with the closed side to give you stability to push. Hope this helps and don’t forget to fix my subscribe button by hitting it.
