  • In this long-awaited series, we finally delve into the historical origins of William Brahman & the impact of his movement known as "The Message".
In part 1, we begin in the early 1920s & look at how famous historical events like the prohibition movement, the origins of the Klu Klux Klan & the infamous propaganda film "Birth of a nation" affected Branham's upbringing and how that led his family to Jeffersonville, Indiana where Branham would start the "The Message" movement.
We also examine Branham's historical childhood in Indiana to see how it compares to the "Kentucky childhood" used by his stage persona.
How exactly did a mass religious movement that has affected millions of people to this day start in a crime-filled town frequented by Al Capone & John Dillinger, & many others?

I’ve had a personal experience with this people. I dated a guy who believed in him. I’m a Christian who believes that my personal relationship with God is more important than anything else. His family would judge me and call me a unbeliever of Christ without any shame. They were soo quick to point out mode of dressing, my nails and even wearing heals as a sin and forget themselves.
The kids would go to church on Sunday and party and smoke weed on Saturday and still tell you that you are a unbeliever of Christ.
They preach Branham teachings more than they read the bible.

I'm sorry for your horrible experience, but I will say look at the message not the messenger. If Hitler, for example, told you the sky is blue that wouldn't make it false.
That being said, I am well aware of followers of William Branham who sensationalise and worship him as God which he himself taught against. Consider how Paul and Barnabas were worshipped as Jupiter and Mercury in the book of Acts, because their ministry was vindicated by God, they themselves wept heavily because of that. So too William Branham wanted to leave the ministry because people were baptising in his name and calling him the Messiah.
Even though I believe william Branham to be God's prophet, I'm against defaulting to "that's what the prophet teaches" as not only is that not scriptural, William Branham himself said stick with God's word before anything else.
Now I'd rather implore you to research what he actually thought rather than a I heard that's what he taught. William Branham himself taught against doing what that family did to you.
God bless and I pray you grow in the faith and that God leads you into his will, as we all should seek that 🙏🏾

@@josephncube9379 Hi Joseph, I would like to respond by saying that “ you can only know the goodness of a tree by it’s fruit.”
2nd, it took me a year to really understand what the “ message” is all about. I was in a journey of finding the truth when I came across the “message” and I believe it was not a mistake. God helped me understand why it came along and the reasons behind it.
There are teachings that WMB taught that are very wrong and misleading.
Example, dating or marrying a “unbeliever” ( anyone who doesn’t believe WMB to be a prophet of the day) will bring death and curse to you and your family!
The fact that no one sees a problem with that statement blows my mind.
Ps- There’s no scripture in the bible that rules out the right form of baptism. I believe that both the trinity and Jesus Christ is the same thing.
Also, y’all are living in the first covenant, God died for us and he says we are a new creation. He took the punishment for all our sins. why are women still condemned because of what Eve did? Branham described a woman as a “tree of death”. In proverbs, a woman was described as a “ tree of life” He went ahead and claimed that women were not God’s original creation, that they were designed by Satan to be the lowest of all animals on earth! 🤦🏽‍♀️
“There nothing designed that can stoop as low as a woman can, not even dogs can’t be as filthy as a woman and women are human garbage cans, a sex exposal!”
It’s even more disturbing than we have women who have lived to accept this.

@@Its_Imma_k I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you don't know better due to what you have been told.
An unbeliever is someone who is not born again, if you dont lie it doesn't mean you are born again, same way if you believe WMB to be the prophet of the day doesn't make you born again. The evidence of being born again is believing every word of the Bible and punctuating it with a amen.
That being said, what do you mean old covenant ? You do realise on the NT Paul even refers to the woman's curse right?
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
      1 Timothy 2:11‭-‬12‭, ‬14 KJV
This isn't something new, the fact the apostles say that women should be under subjection to their husbands is also part of the curse if you read Genesis.
Besides the point, you have somehow misconstrued his words, he said a immoral woman is the lowest there is, and even the Bible speaks of immoral women in a extremely negative manner, although truthfully, whilst a godly woman has greater reward than a man as per Proverbs 31 and this:
"148 But if she can hold herself right, what a greater reward she has than man. She’s put on a testing ground. Through her come death. She’s guilty of all death. But then God turned around and used one to bring Life back again; brought His Son through the woman, an obedient one.
      65-0429E - The Choosing Of A Bride
      Rev. William Marrion Branham"
Let's not mess about here, I get where you come from but I think it's imperative that you really listen to what he said rather than basing it off personal experience from bad fruit, Look at the parable of the sower, not all seed was sowed by God, some was sowed by the enemy. I myself go to a message church and I know about those who form cults arround WMB and false doctrines to tickle their fancy, to make him Messiah or even to gain power over people.
Unfortunately, or should I say fortunately, I've read the Bible multiple times by the grace of God, and have compared it with WMBs teachings and it lines up as far as I'm concerned. What I won't say is William Branham is infallible, he was just a man like us who was subject to error. Like how Peter was in error with his behaviour and conduct and was corrected by Paul, they were great apostles but still very much human

    • @josephncube9379
      @josephncube9379 Před 2 lety

@Tony DC did you know Jesus cursed a fig tree to bare fruit no more, is it now strange to reason that Jesus resurected a fish just because he ate them? This was a testimony of God caring about the little things, ask yourself why Jesus healed the sick.
Now with Malachi I'll just have them qouted to you and show you exactly how it compares
Now Elijah had a threefold appearance, first as Elisha, then as John and then as the prophet in Malachi 4:5
We know John could only be the second because he did not fulfill the ministry of restoration as he rather prepared the way of the Lord
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
      Malachi 3:1 KJV
      And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: For thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
      Luke 1:76 KJV
As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Which shall prepare thy way before thee.
      Mark 1:2 KJV
Now then read Malachi 4 and you'll see this isn't the same person
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
      Malachi 4:5‭-‬6 KJV
This is a restorative ministry here, not a preparative. Which is before the Great and dreadful day of the Lord. When the Lord came after John the Baptist, he said I decrease so He must increase. Then Jesus came onto the scene and we have John 3, The Son of man came not to condemn the world but to save it, a stark contrast to Malachi 4:5. Now I could get into Revelation 10:7 and Zechariah but I have a slight hunch you were a message believer before.
Now William Branhams whole ministry was to restore us to the pentecostal father's, if you want me to expound on turning the hearts of the father's to the children I will, but his purpose was for us to return to our pentecostal father's, who had the gospel in word and power. Never once have I thought to worship him, but to Worship Jesus or to believe him but to believe God.
And fun fact, did you know the San hedrein knew the scriptures better than the both of us and the apostles but yet they rejected Jesus, The apostles and Christians. It's about getting a revelation from God, not just reading the Bible like a magazine, but rather reading it under the guide of the holy spirit. Why do you think there are 1000s of denominations and sub denominations right now?

If anyone needs footage, audio, or has questions, I can answer all. I would really love someone to do a deep dive and cover the history AND the way it is used in the world today. Part of the problem isn't necessarily Branham himself, but the pastors today who take it and run with it. WMB was not perfect, he was born a sinner the same as all of us, and saved by grace, the same grace that is extended to all of us. If we accept it.

Only those who are truly called can understand it and believe it in its fullness. @RestoredToTruth ok first God does NOT ignore prayers. If he allows something to go on on the earth he has a reason for it(there is NO such thing as a wasted prayer)...and second every saint of Jesus Christ is called to preach the good news of the gospels to every person on earth. That's good that you focus on yourself so much, but keeping the word to yourself and not sharing it with everyone including muslims means your just being selfish and when you get to see Jesus he will tell you depart from me I never knew you...but I think you can be saved and be in this "cult." Heck there will be a lot more ppl in heaven than we think including ppl that have never been to church, but have called out to Jesus Christ with a truly repentant heart...I love you brother maybe we will see each other in the millennium have a good day!

@RestoredToTruth Equating yourself with heretical religions, where through our walk with Christ Jesus, one out of thousands of the children might be saved by the expansive Gospel of Truth does with accuracy state our cause. @RestoredToTruth sounds like your getting mad. You literally said i sound like a person who goes and tries to win over muslims. How is that a waste?...you can be in a "cult" like branham's and still be saved, because the doctrine of salvation is simple and amazing. All you have to do is realize Jesus died on the cross for you and his blood washed away and covers your sins, then repent(confess) your sins to God and accept the Holy Spirit into your heart. God can speak, and open the eyes of anyone. It doesn't matter if they are a muslim, mormon, jw, or even a satanist. For some it is too difficult to pull away from their situation after salvation. Take nicodimus for example. He followed Jesus, but stayed in the temple as a Rabi for the pharosees. I fully believe he made it to the kingdom in the end...and the "message" is a "cult" because you take a false prophet(branham) put him on a pedistle and equate him to God. Sounds like a false idol to me. Not to mention how branham treated and taught ppl to treat women. Jesus taught that everyone is equal. Yes there is a male at the head of the house and the church, but that doesn't mean that men get to force and control the women of the church or household with fear and derogatory language....but hey Everyone has a choice to accept Christ or deny Christ. I love you brother and i'll pray that God opens your eyes to the truth about branham and the way the gospel is supposed to be used.

@RestoredToTruth Would it not be acceptable for truth to be manifested to everyone rather than to have it kept and spared, as a special ornament for
      some appointed time to come?
Wherefore should we not with all our hearts rest and remain in the only
truth (which men through so many erroneous and crooked ways do seek and bastardize)?
Does it please God to lighten us only unto to a bastardized seventh Candelbrium, or rather it be a more precious thing, that one could always live as if they had
lived from the beginning of the world, and, moreover, as they should still live to the end thereof?
How much more pleasant would it be, that you could so sing, that instead of stony rocks you could draw pearls and precious stones, instead of wild beasts, spirits, and instead of darkening the hearts of innocent children, move the princes of the world with truth?
O ye people, God’s counsel is far otherwise, who hath concluded now to increase and enlarge the number of our Fraternity, which we with such joy have again undertaken, as we have obtained His greatest treasure without merit. For our goods cannot be inherited, nor by chance alone, be obtained, and though you complain of our discretion, we continue to offer our treasure so freely to those within who are willing.
Yea God hath so compassed us about with his clouds, that unto us his servants no violence or
force can any longer be done or committed; wherefore we neither can be seen or known by anybody, except "he whom has the eyes of an eagle".

The young men in church then proceed to look elsewhere because they're superficial, and the older men pursue the young ones. As a matter of a fact a 32 year old man in my church proposed to my sister when she just turned 18 and my mother was somehow okay with this. At least 2 of them eventually escaped their abusive households and rumor has it resorted to prostitution to survive because they have no education and no job skills due to their repressed upbringing in the branhamite cult. Its really sad, they never stood a chance.
My own father in law wanted to marry off my wife to a geriatric member of their congregation when she was around 16. Thankfully my wife wasn't as brainwashed as the rest of the women and flat out refused to submit to her father's will. It’s always good to expose those that teach falsely and it’s often sad to note that many are led by God to the truth of Gods word but they keep wanting to have a human to help them interpret the word, in regards to preaching and teaching that is the role of the church but just like every cult once you raise a human up you demote Christ and His Finished work. The Mormons have done this over and over again , many cults including the sect of the Seventh day Adventist also go to the point of making a human the “go to” person for authority. My wife and I when we were about to get a married were looking for a church to get married in as our church was under heavy renovations and was unsuitable to us. We visited many churches for the purpose of renting the church for our ceremony and reception . One visit to an SDA church involved out request to view the sanctuary ( or church seating area) , a bible study was ongoing but the lady told us to just go in and look around anyways. We felt like we were barging in so we sat down and looked around and whispered to each other about what we thought of the building. We could not help but during the 15 min we sat trying to appear as part of the study they kept referring to what Ellen G White taught regarding the verses they were studying. It was mind boggling to hear at least 5 references to what she said about particular scripture . We got up and left slowly glad to have had the opportunity to witness the manifestation of how the devil deceives .
That being said I’ve been in ministry for years and have cast out many devils out of believers who had never received help at churches they belonged to , the church has left many open doors unattended even within good churches not helping people to get free. Those devils freely roam like a sneaky serpent through the pews not on sabbath or Sunday worship only but in the secret homes of the believers who keep dark secrets afraid to get or ask for help for fear of being labelled. It can be said that it’s easy to expose the devil through the use of scripture but what if scripture is avoided ? I see that in many beautiful Godly churches who are devout and sober minded yet still avoid parts of scripture .
Growing up our church had the RSV and I remember as a kid reading the preface to the bible and it went into non specific details that the KJV had “grave error” , that church later went on to switch to the NIV stating how it is the accurate word of God yet these people know nothing of “Westcott and Hort” , a simple comparison of matters show a pattern of why the devil hates the KJV . I myself enjoy the KJV as well as the amplified and I find that more than often people use a bible that leaves out key texts and thereby use that loss of words to explain away what they do not do .
Many believers are afraid of the supernatural and of healing and they themselves are victims of indoctrination . Even my father told
Me that the reason Jesus did miracles is to prove that he and the disciples were true, that being said and it’s true, he failed to read what Jesus said about the church .
The division that the devil can inflict on the church is clear evidence that no man can save themselves since as Paul even wrote” Nothing good dwells in the flesh” , anyone who thinks they are good has not met Jesus .
That being said a man can be empowered by the Holy Ghost to perform miracles and signs and wonders. I’m glad that God has used me and yet I’m deeply humbled by the fact that as weak as I am often God can still use a broken vessel to enact His will upon the world in particular helping His kids get free.
We need to be humble in examining sin as we are also sinners but the grand scheme of sin has been exposed by Christ and literally been overtaken by the Holy Ghost but God moves through Faith and men of faith are not afraid to confront the devil knowing that the devil is overcome and weak in the light of Christ Jesus our Lord .
Never exalt a human, Jesus was human but He was God and yet now He has ascended to the Father as they are one. Jesus in His humble state as a man humbled himself and even said only God was Good. He was referring to the part of Him that was God and of the Father, He did not exalt His flesh but rather crucified it for us in place of our own. The Bible said that flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom because it is The sons of God who are reborn through the Spirit of God and not the flesh. Our flesh has nothing good in it as it is not eternal but if of the earth .
The serpent seed theology is digging at the explanation of the question of how man was corrupted and how sin spread . I will tell you that the truth of the matter is that sin does travel through the bloodline and the demons often are shocked that they were confronted as they keep that doctrine away from the church though scripture alludes to it often .
The bible talks about the sins of the fathers, this sin nature is spiritual but it takes advantage of the flesh . We all know that the seed of man impregnates a woman and so comes forth mankind however if one notes very plainly and clearly that the son of God was not from the seed of a man. That Holy Act of impregnating Mary is key to the separation of man and God , it separates the truth from the nonsense, it separates the nominal human from the God who was called Immanuel that is God with us .
Mankind partakes of that same spirit through communion as Christ taught in John 6 and man cannot be saved by any other means, the sin nature of man has many facets and each one leads mens minds and thoughts to disobey God. It is Gods Spirit in a man that brings life eternal . The serpent seed theology can be seen through clear. Scripture study as some are called children of the devil, that serpent seed spirit(S) of the devil all need to cast out in Jesus name. The seed of Christ is the Holy Ghost and it conquers the flesh because the flesh is weak and unable to please God.

I grew up under one of the -so called- _main stream_ religious cults, that Paul placed a *curse* upon because they came in and preached *another* -Gospel- than what the *Original* saints had brought forth to Christiandom in an *untarnished* form.
God directed me to The Message, when I called for Him for direction, from among the many different -Christian- Sect, and directed me to one, wherein Acts 2:38, in the place of Mat. 28:19 in water baptism, (under full immersion) is practiced, rather than that of infant sprinkling, or of the usage of *the replacement* of The Name for The Titles of the Godhead.
(They must *hate* His Name, else they would use it in their religious *deeds* that they endorse; as instruct to them of Scripture.)
From there He gave me *The Gift* of the Holy Ghost, which *never happened* when under the (main stream) umbrella of the *harlot* daughters of Rev 17:5.
Now these demoniacs are carrying out Scripture, which is being fulfilled to the letter, by their making manifest the following: Mat 23:15 _"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!_ (intellectuals) _for ye compass sea and land_ ( over the electronic waves) _to make _*_one proselyte,_*_ and when he is made, ye make him _*_twofold more_*_ the _*_child of hell_*_ than __-yourselves."-_
You that follow after these *demon possessed* hypocrites, must be *so blinded,* that Eternal Life (The GIFT of The Holy Ghost) is not worth pursuing for your salvation. (or else you have deceived yourself into thinking that you -are saved- when you have yet to be saved.)
What happened to Mar 16:17 _"And these signs _*_shall follow them_*_ that believe;?"_ which these proselyters have no record of having them *following* them; which proves that they are *not* believers, but unbelieving workers of darkness.
The -so call- mainstream -Christian- sect that had sprinkled me with water when I was an infant, (not having need of repentance yet, since I had never, as yet, reached the age of accountability), who even *lied* to me of the *signs* being given only to The Apostles.
But God *proved them wrong* when He performed the Power of His Ability To Heal, when Jas 5:14 _"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them _*_pray over_*_ him, _*_anointing him_*_ with _*_oil_*_ in _*_the name_*_ of the Lord:"_ was performed upon me by them carrying it out unto me, because they believed.
Unless God proves otherwise, I would follow His servant, (to some) and prophet (to others, such as myself) to my entering *into* the Kingdom of Heaven, and to Salvation. (Eternal Life)
May God extend His Hand of Grace upon others _That _*_would_*_ be Saved_ and deliver them from the *influential* Word *twisters* of The Satanic kingdom that is at work here.

They should change the title of this video to mafia stories instead of religious cult.
Gives me the impression that the video was made with the purpose of detracting the Branham family.
I think this gentleman has phycological problems and some type of obsession to prove his point, is more a personal issue than religious. He chose not to believe which he got all his rights, my prayers is that God heals his mind and reveals him the truth according to his word.
I have all the messages and haven’t heard William Branham said to fallow him as cult leaders will do. My experience with the message has been awesome to see the Lord Jesus Christ showing himself alive thru infallible proofs in William Branham ministry is totally out of this world and there’s a reason why God demonstrated that power at this end time.
There is more proofs that this message is the truth revealed by all mighty God confirmed by prophecies written in the Bible and signs a wonders than human mistakes that a sinner save by grace can always make but God doesn’t make mistakes.
All the prophets as men made mistakes only God is infallible, look at David committing adultery and killing the woman husband but look all the inspire psalms that God gave him, Abraham and Joseph lying thru their teeth, that doesn’t make the word of God a false book.
God and his prophets are not guilty of people committing idolatry and creating cults, that will always happen people take the Bible and make cults by putting their own interpretation. The children of Israel worshiped a brazen serpent that God told Moses to make, God and Moses are not guilty of that.
William Branham a sinner save by God’s grace was a biblical prophet for this age and God himself vindicated him, I don’t see any false doctrinal teachings all what Bro Branham preached and taught came directly from the Bible that’s the reason I believe.
    The Lord Jesus Christ said:
    John 10:37-38 KJV
If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him
God vindicated his seven church age messenger that was going to also be a prophet Malachia 4, Luke 17:30, Revelation 10:7

Branham proclaimed himself “Elijah to come” as prophecies in Malachi 3:4 even though Jesus Christ made it clear upon his resurrection and return that John The Baptist was Elijah. Branham himself proclaimed he was here to set the hearts of people to Christ. Ask yourself this. Why would God send a messenger with a completely wrong, and in many times BLASPHEMOUS message? Look at his sermon, Marriage and Divorce. In it, he proclaims women were designed to be beautiful by SATAN! (Gen 1:26-28) clearly states GOD created and designed man and woman in HIS image! He also claims Satan was equal with God which is again absurd and blasphemous. (Isa 14: 12-15) tells us Satan tried to usurp God and be like him, and was cast down. He then continues to say horribly and disgustingly sexist things about women. Not to mention the constant holes in his theory about serpent seed doctrine. Why would God send a man to give FALSE TEACHINGS about the garden of Eden, Elijah, the nature of women, and Satan? Especially when there is not a single passage in the Bible about a prophet to come after Christ’s resurrection.

From what I understand, this is merely looking at the origins of where William came from. It is not the complete case against him or his teaching. This is not a one and done episode.
However, just looking at this episode, it is easy to see that William projected more than one representation of who he was, stage perceptions, which point to deceit on his part, and that was AFTER his turning into a religious leader. At the very least, he was telling falsehoods, and that casts a deep shadow over the claim that he was a man of God. Satan, not the Triune God is the father of lies. This sort of changing history and backstory is rather cultish. AMBA
