- This is the first-ever spotted cheetah video at Kuno National Park. The name of the cheetah is Pawan" implies a significant milestone in wildlife conservation and research.
Significance of Kuno National Park: Kuno National Park is a protected area known for its biodiversity, located in India. Being the site for the first-ever spotted cheetah suggests that it is an important habitat capable of supporting a diverse range of species, including ones not traditionally found in the area.
Cheetah Sightings: Cheetahs are not native to India, and historically, they roamed the Indian subcontinent but went extinct around the middle of the 20th century due to hunting and habitat loss. The spotting of a cheetah named "Pawan" indicates the potential reintroduction efforts or natural migration of cheetahs into the region.
Conservation Efforts: The sighting underscores ongoing conservation efforts aimed at restoring and preserving natural habitats and ecosystems. The fact that a cheetah has been spotted suggests that conservation initiatives such as habitat restoration, anti-poaching measures, and community engagement programs may be showing positive results.
Individual Identification: Naming the cheetah "Pawan" humanizes the animal and creates a connection with the public. Individual identification allows researchers to track the movements, behavior, and health of the cheetah, providing valuable insights into its adaptation and integration into the ecosystem.
Research and Monitoring: The video serves as a crucial tool for researchers and conservationists to study the behavior, habitat preferences, and interactions of cheetahs in Kuno National Park. This information can inform future conservation strategies and management plans.
Public Awareness: Sharing the video with the public raises awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and the significance of preserving natural habitats. It highlights the beauty and diversity of Kuno National Park and the need to protect it for future generations.
Overall, the first-ever spotted cheetah video at Kuno National Park, featuring the cheetah named "Pawan," represents a remarkable event in the ongoing efforts to conserve biodiversity and restore ecosystems in India.
Most awaited video for me. Thanks for such.
Historical video, watershed moment in indian wildlife rehabilitation.
Atleast they can hunt & eat freely without interference of lions & hyenas
Great luck brother in all india , u are first tourist to spot cheetah 🐆 please do bring bring more cheetah sightings, kab jaoge dubara
What???? I thought they were extinct in India?? That is amazing!!! I love it. Makes me very happy to see that. Thank you for that video!
Correct, the cheetah went extinct in India around 1950. Nonetheless, starting from September 2022, India has initiated a conservation effort by relocating eight African cheetahs from Namibia and twelve from South Africa. This endeavor forms a crucial aspect of a comprehensive plan aimed at reintroducing this majestic wild cat species into the Indian landscape.
@@prateekyadav600 That brother was hibernating since two years Prateek, don't mind😊
wahhhhh....at first sight(Without reading a title) i thought its a GIR...v v similar to GIR
Kuno National Park is a national park and Wildlife Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh, India. It derives its name from Kuno River. It was established in 1981 as a wildlife sanctuary with an initial area of 344.686 km2 (133.084 sq mi) in the Sheopur and Morena districts.[1] In 2018, it was given the status of a national park. It is part of the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecoregion
@@prateekyadav600 wow...gr8, how r the cheetahs doing there bro ?
Nice I see 2 non-cheetah moving in background 😂
You are right; they are indeed like cheetahs, tirelessly tracking 24/7 without any fear of snakes, wild animals, or other forest dangers. Hats off to them for their involvement in India's paramount big cat relocation plan.
wow
❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤
Really great forest wonderful
Lucky you
Thanks bro
You are first man to get the video
I made this video during jungle safari on 31.03.2024(evening). You could say I was the first person(visitor)to spot the cheetah at Kuno National Park.
@@prateekyadav600which gate did you enter.
Ahera Gate
@@prateekyadav600 congratulations bro 🎉
Bhai yeh kuno se outer ka area h na ?? Or bhi sightings k videos post karo
No Bro. This is core forest area between Ahera and Pipal Baodi Gate.

Is it Kuno National Park ?
Yes
people walkin in the background?..lucky you
They are tracker, park management put two trackers 24/7 for cheetah monitoring. It is very crucial to protect the big cat introduced in this majestic land.
@@prateekyadav600 Is this inside kuno or outside? if outside then are cheetahs assigned individal trackers..like they do in Africa protecting rhinos....just curious
@@vp9239This is inside Kuno Park, Moreover, With the introduction of cheetahs to the Indian landscape, this has become a flagship project of the Indian government, receiving dedicated attention and continuous monitoring from the Prime Minister's Office. Each cheetah released into the jungle is closely tracked by a monitoring team from the forest department, ensuring 24/7 surveillance."
@@prateekyadav600 bhai.... Awesome...I am a true advacator of cheetahs in India and hope after initial hiccups we go international as a country with tigers, leopards, snow leopards, lions and cheetahs...anyways you are lucky to have seen a cheetah in wild i India...I envy you
That is India for you - people believe in coexistence, also you find wild lions in Gir Forest , leopards in Pune all living happily side by side with humans who follow Sanathan Darma ,
Seems fed well or fed up ??
Seems fed well😊
Area needs to be 3 to 4 000 sq km with chinkara blackbuck or else it will be a safari park bcz they live in low density
Locating an extensive grassland area conducive to reintroducing cheetahs in India poses a challenge. Kuno, covering approximately 750 square kilometers, emerges as a promising site. Moreover, the government intends to enlarge this territory by integrating sections of the adjacent Madhav National Park in Shivpuri district for cheetah restoration. Further, Ranthambore, Kanha National Park, and Madhav National Park are interlinked and may become cheetah highway in future.
@@prateekyadav600 yes but it will be difficult, i think banni Grasslands with restoration could have been tried
@@prateekyadav600 even if area is increased they need to supply prey in buffer zone, bcz cheetah don't hunt heavyweight prey often unlike other cats which hunt dogs, boars, langur etc, btw Pavan is darted
How many in Kuno currently? Have any died?
There are 27 cheetahs presently there including cubs
First rule= don’t talk while hunting or observing wild animals. Please shut all your holes
Yes, brother, you are right. It is always advised not to talk during a jungle safari. We were excited about the cheetah sightings(first ever by Indian tourist), and besides, we were in a completely enclosed vehicle with all the doors shut at that time.
its a lion bro
Hey, actually, it's a cheetah. Lions aren't found in Kuno National Park; they're exclusive to Gir National Park in Sasan, Gujarat. Plus, there's a noticeable contrast in their body structures. Lions can reach lengths of 10 feet and weigh up to 250 kilograms, while cheetahs typically have a lighter build, weighing between 34 to 64 kilograms, with long, slender legs and tails.
@@prateekyadav600 I was kidding, just trying to be funny. It's a good click, i have seen a lot of wildlife videos but never have I ever seen a cheetah in India. kudos. good content. looking forward to more!
Is this cheetah pregnant? Even better news then.
No, it's actually a male Pawan cheetah. We initially misidentified it in the video, but after the safari, the forest department confirmed its identity as a Pawan Cheetah.
His belly is full, seems good hunting going on without disturbances from hyenas & lions like in Africa
