My Debt Confession: Year 1

June 2024 marks year one of my debt free journey. Now in the beginning, I had different amounts of debt totals, as my wife and I combined our debt, then separated, then combined again. It wasn’t until August when we realized we both had different budgeting styles and we finally decided to split the debts.
From June 2023 to June 2024, I have made significant progress from where I first started. I hope to bring down my consumer debt down to at least $15,000.

Are the loans in both your names? You kick it back to her, I am a bit confused. The other loan still counts in the grand scheme of things , so i am not sure why it’s not Included. I say that because if she was unable to pay, would pay it anyway?

Loan is under her name, but I still keep progress of it. I actually have another tracker with all of our debt combined. Oh yes, I would pay for it if anything occurred. We help each other out whenever we need the help.
